记者了解到,“考星现象”日趋低龄化,许多孩子在家长的“督促”下还未踏入小学就已经开始了预热。

今年8月22日开考的星级
考报名工作近日也在如火如荼的开展中。

就此记者专门采访了上海
市少儿通用英语口语星级考第42考点-长颈鹿美语的HP老师。

何谓星级考试
上海市通用少儿英语星级考作为素质型教育的组成部分,自
2001年开设以来,经过8年的成功运作,已经成为上海市少儿考试
中的优秀品牌。

2008年8月起,又增加了笔试,分二、三、四星三个级别。

这一考试由易到难分为一星级、二星级、三星级和四星级。

一星对应于小学低年级,二星对应于小学高年级,三星对应于初中,四
星则是对应于初中毕业或高中低年级。

低龄孩子超前考证有利有弊
长颈鹿美语的HP老师告诉记者,家长让孩子参加星级考试的最
终目的,无非也就是在升学的时候增加一个砝码。

以前的英语等级
考试取消以后,通用少儿英语的证书就成了众矢之的。

不过记者注意到,学生参加星级考试正呈现出逐渐低龄化的趋势,许多孩子在家长的'“督促”下,还未踏入小学就已经开始了预热,
甚至有不少幼儿园中班、大班的孩子已经通过了二星甚至三星口语
考试。

但是低龄孩子超前考证究竟是利是弊呢?长颈鹿美语HP老师认为,首先,学龄前儿童在入学前打下一定的英语基础,对今后的学习肯
定是有好处的。

学生在课堂上碰到的单词、句型,可能之前通过社
会上的培训班,已经接触过甚至掌握了,那么从积极方面来看,这
无疑能够促进学生在课堂上的学习积极性,学生会乐意自信地表现
自己。

但从另一方面看,学龄前儿童的学习理解能力还具有一定的局限性,同样的内容,可能接受起来就要花更多的时间和精力,这也意
味着孩子报了培训班之后要跟上学习进度就得学得很辛苦。

进一步
来看,有些东西即使孩子学会了,也只是依葫芦画瓢,对一些细节
上的东西并没有真正理解。

在少儿英语培训机构中有一定声誉的长颈鹿美语上海旗舰校的星级考官HP告诉记者,由于口试没有年龄限制,现在三年级学生普遍
已考过了三星口试,准备去“冲”二星笔试。

然而笔试对学生听力、阅读等综合素质要求较高,二星笔试相当于小学毕业水平,三星相
当于初中毕业水平。

其涉及的内容不仅有基础的语言技能与知识,三、四星级的考试中,还有反映英语国家文化、生活方式与全球关
注的问题等方面的内容。

学生去“冲”绝对是超前的。

他建议家长、学生,最好等小学四、五年级后去考笔试最合适。

轻松应对星级口语考试
HP老师分析,8月的星级口语考试在试题的分布上还是延续了往年的结构。

值得注意的是,近年来对于学生背诵拼写和固定句型的
要求越来越高。

这也说明对考生的基础知识的检测越来越重视。


分考生在面对这样的转变表现出不适应,很大程度上是跳级考试,
学员本身对于英语基础知识的掌握还不扎实。

例如这次的“听听做做”项目,不单单考验考生的听力能力,要求考生对基本句型搭配
的要求也非常高。

如take…outof…(从…拿
出…),pickup…fromunder/behind…(从...下面/后面拿
