In Japan, Panasonnic(松下) is an electric appliance company. When the employees first enter the company, they will be told of the company’s vision in the next 20 years. The company will encourage their staff to form an individual vision which can be reconciled to(相融合) the company’s shared vision so that the whole company will have the same goal and they will make joint effort for the enterprise.
• Vision management(愿景管理)
Vision(愿景): this word first appeared in the book Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies (《基业长青—企业永续经营的准则》 ) written by Jim Collins and Jerry I. Porras, which means a shared goal which is observed by all the members in an organization in the near future .
A durable vision-----Coca cola
In World War II, Coca cola became a prevailing brand globally. The company’s vision is to serve the people the best beverage( have a coke and a smile). His formula was extraordinarily popular but in 1985 the CEO Robert changed the old formula into a new one which received numerous complaints from the consumers. Coca cola remembered his vision and quickly changed its strategy, abiding by its old formula again.
