The precautions to fabricate properly and prepare the material for galvanizing to prevent embrittlement are described in Practice A143.galvanized articles of the same kind that has been galvanized at approximately the same time,in the same manner,and in the same pot,and that is being submitted for acceptance as a group.5.2The method of selection and sample size shall be agreed upon between the galvanizer and the purchaser.Otherwise,the sample size selected from each lot shall be as follows:Number of Pieces in Lot Sample Size3or less all4to5003501to120051201to320083201to100001310001and over205.3A specimen that fails to conform to a requirement of this specification shall not be used to determine the conformance to other requirements.6.Test Methods6.1Tests shall be made to ensure that the zinc coating is being furnished in accordance with this specification and as specified for the following:6.1.1Thickness of coating in3.3.6.1.2Finish and appearance in4.1and4.2.6.1.3Embrittlement in4.3and4.4.6.1.4Adherence in4.5.6.2Thickness of Coating:6.2.1The average weight of the zinc coating shall be determined by weighing specimens after pickling and drying and again after galvanizing unless the method described in 6.2.2or6.2.3is used.N OTE4—This method does not take into account the weight of iron reacted from the article that is incorporated into the coating.It will thus underestimate coating weight by up to approximately10%.Base metal reactivity will affect the extent of underestimation.6.2.2In the case of materials inspected after galvanizing, the weight of coating shall be determined by stripping one or more specimens in accordance with Test Method A90/A90M, or the average thickness of coating shall be determined with the use of a magnetic thickness gage in conformity with Practice E376,unless the method described in6.2.1or6.2.3is used.6.2.2.1In the case of fasteners such as bolts,nuts,and screws,the determination of the thickness of coating shall be made on a portion of the article that does not include any threads.6.2.3The thickness of coating shall be determined by cross section and optical measurement,unless the method described in6.2.1or6.2.2is used.The thickness thus determined is a point value.No less thanfive such measurements shall be made at locations on the test article,which are as widely dispersed as practical,so as to be representative of the whole surface of the test article.The average of no less thanfive such measurements is the specimen coating thickness.6.3Embrittlement—Hardware that is susceptible to em-brittlement shall be tested in accordance with Practice A143. The tests shall be performed through agreement between the galvanizer and the purchaser.6.4Adherence—Determine adherence of the zinc coating to the surface of the base metal by cutting or prying with the point of a stout knife,applied with considerable pressure in a manner tending to remove a portion of the coating.The adherence shall be considered inadequate if the coatingflakes off in the form of a layer of skin so as to expose the base metal in advance ofthe knife point.Do not use testing carried out at edges or corners (points of lowest coating adherence)to determine adherence of coating.Likewise,do not use removal of small particles of the coating by paring or whittling to determine failure.7.Inspection7.1The inspector representing the purchaser shall have access at all times while work on the contract of the purchaser is being performed,to those areas of the manufacturer’s work which concern the application of the zinc coating to the material ordered.The manufacturer shall afford the inspector all reasonable facilities to satisfy him that the zinc coating is being furnished in accordance with this specification.All inspection and tests shall be made at the place of manufacture prior to shipments,unless otherwise specified,and shall be so conducted as not to interfere unnecessarily with the operation of the works.8.Rejection and Retest8.1When partial inspection of materials to determine con-formity with visual requirements of Section4warrants rejec-tion of a lot,the galvanizer is not prohibited from sorting the lot and submitting it once again for inspection.8.2The number of specimens in a sample of a lot permitted to fail to conformance tests shall be agreed upon between the galvanizer and the purchaser.8.3If a set of test specimens fails to conform to the requirements of this specification,two additional sets shall be tested,both of which shall conform to the requirements in every respect,or the lot of material represented by the specimens shall be rejected.8.4Materials that have been rejected for reasons other than embrittlement are not prohibited from being stripped,regalva-nized,and resubmitted for test and inspection.They shall then conform to the requirements of this specification.9.Packaging9.1The supplier shall employ such methods of packaging zinc-coated articles as shall be required to ensure their receipt by the purchaser in satisfactory condition,with the use to be made of the article being taken into consideration.10.Certification10.1When specified in the purchase order or contract,the purchaser shall be furnished certification that samples repre-senting each lot have been either tested or inspected as directed by this specification and the requirements have been met. 无镀层及热浸镀锌焊接与无缝公称钢管SA-53/SA-53M(除了在住6和11.2.2.1有编辑上不同外，与ASTM标准A53/A53M-99完全等同)1 适用范围1.1 本标准适用于NPS1/8至NPS26(注1)的无镀层及热浸镀锌的焊接与无缝公称钢管，管的公称（平均）壁厚列于表X2.2和表X2.3。
其它各项要求，也可供货。
注1：本标准以无量纲标号NPS（公称管尺寸）〔DN（公称直径）〕代替如“公称直径”，“尺寸”和“公称尺寸”之类以往惯用术语。
注2：公称壁厚这个术语仅仅赋予方便地标志现存名称之用，并用于区别实际壁厚，实际壁厚可有比公称壁厚以上或以下的偏差。
1.2 可提供下列型式和级别的公称管：1.2.1 F型——A级炉内连续对接焊的。
1.2.2 E型——A、B级电阻焊的；1.2.3 S型——A、B级无缝的。
注3：见公称管型式定义附录X1。
1.3 按本标准订货的公称管适用于作受力及承压件，也可以用于一般用途的蒸汽、水、气体及空气管线。
受下列限制的支配，它们适合于焊接，以及包括盘管、弯曲和翻边等成形加工：1.3.1 F型不宜作翻边用。
1.3.2 当S和E型要求用作密距盘绕或冷弯时，应规定为A级，但本规定并不禁止采用B级公称管作冷弯。
1.3.3 根据制管厂的选择，E型管可按非扩径管或冷扩径管供货。
1.4 以SI单位或英寸—磅表示的数值均可作为标准值。
由于各单位制表示的数值不能精确地换算，因此每种单位制必须独立使用。
两种单位制的数值混合使用可能导致与本标准不一致的结果。
