My name is Amy and I'm going to tell you about my favorite place in the whole wide world – Xiamen! It's a beautiful city by the sea and I absolutely love it there. Let me tell you why.First of all, Xiamen has the most amazing beaches. The sand is so soft and the water is crystal clear. You can see little fish swimming around and even find some pretty seashells. My favorite beach is called Gulangyu and it's on a little island just off the coast. You have to take a ferry to get there, which is super fun!On Gulangyu, there are no cars allowed, so it's really quiet and peaceful. The streets are made of old stones and there are lots of cute little shops and cafes. I love wandering around andlooking at all the pretty buildings. Some of them are really old and have interesting designs. One of the best things about Xiamen is the delicious food! My favorite is the seafood because it's so fresh. The restaurants by the beach serve the yummiest shrimp, crab, and fish dishes. I also really like the local snacks like oyster omelets and beef noodle soup. My mom always buys me a big bag ofsugar-coated fruit when we go to Xiamen.Another great thing about Xiamen is all the fun activities you can do. There are lots of parks where you can fly kites, ride bikes, or have picnics. You can also go on little boat tours around the islands or visit the aquarium to see sharks, turtles, and colorful fish.During the summer, there are always festivals and celebrations happening in Xiamen. My favorite is the Beach Culture Festival. There are sandcastle competitions, beach volleyball games, and even concerts right on the sand! One year, I got to be in a kids' dance performance. It was so exciting to perform on stage in front of everyone.I have so many happy memories of visiting Xiamen with my family. We always stay in a nice hotel right by the water so we can wake up to the sound of the waves. In the mornings, my dadand I like to go for walks along the beach and look for interesting shells or crabs. Sometimes we'll even see dolphins jumping in the waves! At night, the whole city feels magical. All the buildings and parks are lit up with pretty lights. My parents and I love strolling through the night markets and trying different street foods. The smells of all the delicious snacks always make my mouth water! We'll get fresh fruit juices, BBQ skewers, and sweet potato balls to snack on.Xiamen is such a special place for me. I feel so relaxed and happy there. The scenery is gorgeous, the food is amazing, and there's always something fun to do. I make wonderful memories every time we visit. I already can't wait to go back to my favorite place in the whole world – Xiamen!篇2My Favorite Place Is XiamenHi, my name is Lily and I am 10 years old. I live in Xiamen, which is a beautiful city in Fujian Province, China. Xiamen is my favorite place in the whole wide world! I want to tell you all about why I love it so much.First of all, Xiamen has the most amazing weather. It is sunny and warm pretty much every single day. The temperature is perfect - never too hot and never too cold. My parents told me that Xiamen has a subtropical maritime climate, which means it doesn't really have separate seasons like summer and winter. I'm just happy that I can play outside all year round without having to bundle up in a heavy coat or sweat buckets.Because the weather is so nice, everything in Xiamen is green and colorful all the time. The city is filled with lush gardens, rolling hills covered in trees, and vibrant flowers everywhere you look. My favorite are the purple bougainvillea flowers that seem to grow on every street. They are so pretty! I also love the palm trees that line many of the roads and beaches. Palms make me feel like I'm living in a tropical paradise.Speaking of beaches, Xiamen is famous for its stunning coastline dotted with golden sandy beaches and rocky coves. I try to convince my parents to take me to the beach at least once a week so I can swim, build sandcastles, and look for shells and starfish in the shallow tide pools. The ocean water is the perfect temperature for swimming and so clean and clear. I can see all the way to the bottom! My very favorite beach is Hulishan Fortress. It has an amazing rocky shoreline to explore during low tide. I love climbing over the boulders and finding little critters like crabs and fish trapped in the pools. There's also an old fort there that's fun to check out and imagine what it was like hundreds of years ago when soldiers stayed there. The best part though is the breathtaking view of Xiamen Island and the surrounding sea. Seeing the bright blue waves crashing against the rocks is just mesmerizing.Gulangyu Island is another gem of Xiamen that I adore. This whole pedestrian-friendly island is filled with quaint lanes, historic architecture from the colonial era, and interesting shops and cafes. I feel like I've traveled back in time whenever I visit! My parents and I love strolling around the island, popping into old churches and mansions, and getting delicious snacks from street vendors. I always make sure to get sugared fruit-on-a-stick, which is a classic Gulangyu treat. We also can't miss the piano museum, since the island was once known as the "piano capital" where lots of famous pianos were made.Even though nature and charming islands are some of my favorite parts of Xiamen, I also really enjoy experiencing the modern, urban side. The city has fantastic shopping areas withbig malls and boutiques selling all the latest fashions and toys. I particularly like the pedestrian streets like Zhongshan Road that are closed off to cars so you can walk around safely while checking out all the sights and yummy restaurants. And the nighttime views of the illuminated skyline and Xiamen's iconic modern architecture are simply breathtaking.Another thing that makes Xiamen awesome is all the fun activities and attractions to enjoy. My family and I are big fans of the Shuzhuang Garden, which is the most lovely classical Chinese garden with precious plants, rock formations, ponds and pavilions. We also make frequent trips to the Huandao Road Coastal Recreational Area where there are walking paths, playgrounds, sports facilities and more right along the gorgeous coastline. And I could spend full days wandering around museums like the Xiamen University architecture exhibits or Nanputuo temples learning about local history and culture. To me though, the very best thing about Xiamen is thelaid-back, friendly and happy vibe that seems to exist everywhere you go. The people are always smiling, polite and willing to help out. There's wonderful energy in the air. Everything just feels bright, alive and easygoing in Xiamen. Whenever I'm feeling stressed or upset, I know a trip around mybeloved hometown will lift my spirits right back up. Just taking a deep breath of the fresh sea air rejuvenates me.My family has been lucky enough to travel to many places in China and even abroad sometimes. But at the end of every trip, I'm always eager to return home to Xiamen. While those other places were neat to visit, none of them can quite live up to the amazing combination of natural beauty, fascinating culture, comfortable climate, friendly people, and easygoing lifestyle that make Xiamen so special. I wouldn't want to grow up anywhere else!Xiamen will forever be my happy place. It has given me the happiest childhood full of incredible sights, activities and memories that I'll cherish forever. If you ever get a chance to visit this coastal paradise, I hope you'll fall in love with Xiamen just like I have. Thanks for reading about my favorite place in the whole wide world!篇3My Favorite Place is XiamenHi, my name is Xiaoming and I am 10 years old. I live in a big city called Xiamen. Xiamen is my favorite place in the whole wide world! Let me tell you all about why I love Xiamen so much.First of all, Xiamen has the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The sand is so soft and white. The ocean water is crystal clear blue and green. I love going to the beach and playing in the waves. My favorite beach is called Hulishan Bathing Beach. There are lots of fun games and activities to do there too, like building sandcastles and playing beach volleyball. Sometimes I collect pretty seashells while walking along the shore.Another reason why Xiamen is the best is because of the amazing food here. Xiamen is famous for delicious seafood dishes made with fresh fish and shrimp from the ocean. My favorite food is called Shaoxing rice noodles with seafood. It has chewy white noodles with shrimp, scallops, and fishballs in a yummy broth. Whenever my grandma takes me out for lunch, that's what I always order! The snack foods in Xiamen are super tasty too, like oyster omelets and banana fritters.Do you know what else makes Xiamen so great? The Gulangyu Island! This little island is right next to downtown Xiamen. You have to take a ferryboat to get there, which is fun. No cars are allowed on Gulangyu, so the island is very peaceful and quiet. All the old houses are colorful with pretty gardens. It feels like going back in time to the past! I enjoy riding a bikealong the beachside path and stopping for ice cream. Gulangyu also has neat places to explore like museums, temples, and piano museums. The weather in Xiamen is another bonus. It's sunny and warm all year round, with blue skies and a nice breeze from the sea. Winter feels like spring compared to other parts of China. This means I can always go outside to play at parks and on playgrounds. My neighborhood playground has swings, slides, seesaws, and even a small rock climbing wall which I'm getting better at climbing. When it gets really hot in the summers, my family heads over to a big swimming pool complex with waterslides and a lazy river.Lastly, what I love most about living in Xiamen is how relaxed and laid-back everything feels. People in Xiamen are very friendly. They always have smiles on their faces and greet you nicely. The pace of life is slow and easy-going here, not rushed like in cities like Beijing. Drivers are polite and don't honk their horns much. It makes me feel calm and happy. I never want to leave this beautiful seaside city! Those are the main reasons why Xiamen is my absolute favorite place on earth. The scenery is gorgeous, the food is incredible, the island is fun to visit, the weather is perfect, andthe atmosphere is so chill. If you ever get a chance to come to Xiamen, you will see why I feel so lucky to call this place my home. Thanks for reading about my beloved Xiamen!篇4Here's a 2000-word essay in simple English from the perspective of an elementary school student about their favorite place, Xiamen:My Favorite Place Is XiamenHi, my name is Lily and I am 10 years old. I want to tell you about my favorite place in the whole wide world - Xiamen! Xiamen is a beautiful city on the southeast coast of China. It has amazing beaches, parks, and so many fun things to see and do. I feel so lucky that my family lives there. One of the best things about Xiamen is the weather. It's warm and sunny almost all year round! That means we can play outside and go to the beach anytime we want. My favorite beach is Hulishan Bathing Beach. The sand is so soft and the water is bright blue and clear. I love building sandcastles and splashing in the waves with my little brother. Sometimes we see little crabs scurrying across the sand too!Another amazing place in Xiamen is Gulangyu Island. It's a tiny island just off the coast that you can reach by ferry. No cars are allowed on the island, so it's very peaceful and quiet. The little streets are lined with pretty old houses and shops. My grandma and I love wandering around looking at all the cute cafes and art galleries. She buys me delicious pineapple cakes and we rest in the shade of the big banyan trees. My dad's favorite spot in Xiamen is the Nanputuo Temple. It's a huge Buddhist temple complex with lots of pretty gardens and ponds. He says it's a very spiritual place and he likes to meditate there. To me, it's like a magical wonderland full of colorful buildings, big statues of Buddha, and friendly fish swimming in the ponds. I feel so calm and peaceful just walking around. Sometimes the monks give out sweet treats to visitors too!Mom's favorite is Zhongshan Road Walking Street because she loves shopping. It's a long street in downtown Xiamen that's closed off to cars, so you can wander freely. There are so many fun shops selling clothes, snacks, toys, and souvenirs. The buildings are old but beautifully decorated. I especially like the part of the street with the arched gateway and pretty tiles on theground. Every time we go, Mom buys me a new hairclip or stuffed animal. For me though, I think the happiest place in all of Xiamen is Xiamen University. The campus is absolutely enormous with loads of trees, gardens, ponds, and historical buildings. My brother and I love running around exploring every little path and courtyard. Our favorite game is trying to find the most interesting statue or carving on the old buildings. Once we even saw a massive bunny statue! I feel like I'm in a magical fairy tale world when I'm there.Xiamen is such an incredible place to live for kids. There's always something new to discover around every corner. I hope I've convinced you that it's the most amazing city ever! If you ever get a chance to visit, you simply must go see Hulishan Beach, Gulangyu Island, Nanputuo Temple, Zhongshan Road, and Xiamen University. Who knows, you might even bump into me riding my bike or playing in the park! I'm the luckiest kid ever to call Xiamen my home.篇5My Favorite Place is XiamenHi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my very favorite place in the whole wide world - Xiamen! Xiamen is a city on the southeast coast of China. It's an island, but it's connected to the mainland by a bridge too. My family is from Xiamen originally, but we live in Beijing now for my dad's job. But every single year we go back to Xiamen for vacation and I absolutely love it there! Let me tell you why.First of all, the weather in Xiamen is basically perfect. It's warm and sunny pretty much all year round. The summers are hot but not crazy hot like some places. And the winters are so mild - you can wear shorts outside even in January! My dad says it's because Xiamen has a subtropical climate. Whatever that means, I just know the weather there is awesome. Then there are the beautiful beaches and ocean views everywhere you look. Xiamen has so many amazing beaches with really soft white or golden sand. My favorite is Hulishan Beach because the sand stays cool even when it's super hot out. I love digging in the sand, burying my brother up to his neck, and splashing around in the shallow water. The waves are usually small and gentle, perfect for kids. But the very best part about Hulishan Beach is you can watch the most incredible sunsets every evening over the ocean. The sky turns bright orange and pink and red - it's so pretty! Sometimes we pack a picnic and enjoy it right on the beach as we watch the sunset. Or we get some delicious coconut milk from the drink vendors. It's such a relaxing way to end the day.And you can't talk about Xiamen without mentioning the seafood! Since Xiamen is surrounded by ocean on all sides, you can get the freshest, most mouth-watering seafood literally everywhere you go. From street food stalls to nice restaurants, the seafood is to die for. My absolute favorites are the xia ren zhou - that's little baked buns stuffed with delicious shrimp - and the incredibly juicy oysters. You haven't lived until you've had Xiamen oysters! Sometimes we even go to the beach in the early morning and watch the fishermen bringing in their catch right off the boat. So cool!Gulangyu Island is another awesome place in Xiamen that I go to every single visit. It's this cute little pedestrian-only island right next to downtown Xiamen. You take a short ferry ride to get there, which is fun all by itself. Gulangyu is famous for its winding maze of little alleyways and lanes between all the old colorful houses and buildings. It feels like you've stepped back in timewalking through those alleys! There are also piano museums, cool sculptures, and tons of delicious snack street foods to try. My brother and I race each other up and down the hilly alleyways for hours. I always win because I'm faster! When we've had enough exploring on Gulangyu, we head to the beach there. The beaches aren't quite as big as some of the main Xiamen beaches, but they're usually less crowded which is nice. And the soft sand is perfect for making epic sandcastles! My brother and I havecastle building competitions to see who can make the biggest, coolest castle. I'm the absolute best castle builder in my family for sure.I could go on and on about all the things I love to do in Xiamen, but I better wrap this up before my teacher thinks I wrote a book instead of an essay! I just want to say one more time how much I absolutely adore Xiamen. Sure, Beijing is cool and all since we live there. But Xiamen will always, always be my number one favorite place. The beautiful beaches, sunsets, fresh seafood, little islands, and just the whole vibe of being in Xiamen makes me happier than anything! If you ever get a chance to go to Xiamen, you absolutely have to take it. You won't regret it! Okay, I'm done - thanks for reading about my beloved Xiamen!篇6My Favorite Place is XiamenHi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I am 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my very favorite place in the whole wide world - the beautiful city of Xiamen! Xiamen is a coastal city in the southeast part of China. It has gorgeous beaches, friendly people, and the most delicious food you've ever tasted. I love Xiamen so much! One of the best things about Xiamen is the stunning beaches. Whenever my family goes there, we spend hours playing in the soft white sand and swimming in the crystal clear blue-green water. The beaches stretch for miles and miles along the coast. My favorite is Hulishan Bathing Beach because it has amazing waves that are perfect for bodyboarding and surfing. I'm not very good at surfing yet, but I practice every time we visit Xiamen. The sunsets over the ocean are just breathtaking too - the sky turns bright orange, pink, and purple. It's like a painting!Another thing I absolutely love about Xiamen is all the little islands just off the coast. You can take ferries or boats from the main part of the city to explore these islands. Gulangyu Island is definitely the coolest one. It has no cars at all - you have to walk or take a golf cart everywhere! The entire island is covered in skinny little alleyways and tunnels going between all the oldhistorical buildings. It's like a maze! Many of the buildings have beautiful carved wooden doors and windows. I love walking around Gulangyu just imagining what life was like there hundreds of years ago when everything was built.Speaking of old buildings, Xiamen has some amazing temples and other historical sites on the main part of the island too. The most incredible one is the Nanputuo Temple, a Buddhist temple complex right on the water. Parts of it are over 1,000 years old! You enter through this huge carved stone gate, then walk up hundreds of steps through gorgeous gardens with ponds and pagodas. At the very top is the main temple hall which is just massive. The entire place smells like incense and has the most peaceful, serene feeling. I always get a good luck charm from the monks there. But as great as the beaches, islands, and temples are, I think my true favorite part of Xiamen is the food. Oh man, the food there is out of this world delicious! Since Xiamen is a coastal city, they have the most amazing fresh seafood. My dad and I love going to the night markets and ordering big plates of sizzling hot seafood straight off the grill - shrimp, squid, fish, scallops, you name it! They season it so perfectly with garlic, ginger, and spices. Then you have to try Xiamen's famous oyster omelets, which are chewy and savory and cooked with tons of fresh oysters and vegetables right on the street. For dessert, I absolutely stuff myself with sugar cane juice, bubblecoolers, and egg balls. I dream about Xiamen's food all year long!Hopefully you can see now why Xiamen is my favorite place ever. From beach fun to historical sights to out-of-this-world eats, it has everything an adventurous kid like me could want! The hot weather, friendly people, and laidback island vibe makes it impossible not to have an amazing time. I feel so lucky that my grandparents live there so we get to visit every year. Whenever I'm feeling stressed or overwhelmed at school, I just picture myself on the beach in Xiamen and it cheers me right up. If you ever get a chance to go, you have to take it! Okay, enough writing for now - I'm off to dream about my next trip to my happy place, Xiamen!。

介绍厦门的英语作文篇1Gulangyu, separated from Xiamen by the 500-metre-wide Egret River, with an area of 1.77 square kilometres, enjoys a lauditory title Garden on the Sea. The original name of the islet was Yuan Zhou Zi. In the Ming Dynasty it was renamed Gulang, meaning ''drum waves, because the holes in the southwestern reefs hit by the waves make sounds like the drum beating.Overlapping peaks foil the blue water, white clouds, green trees and bright flowers. The air in the islet is fresh. The entire place is free from any sorts of vehicles and is particularly quiet. All these render an atmosphere of a fairyland. The roar of the waves breaks on the rocks. Impressive melodies surrounding and lingering on this island make famous for its piano-laden past. As a place of residence for Westerners during Xiamen's colonial past, Gulangyu is famous for its architecture and for being home to China's largest piano museum. It is known as the piano island because people here love the piano. As early as 1913, students in schools run by foreigners started learning the piano. The enthusiasm for music later spread to more ordinary people on the island. Many piano families have since then come into being and produced accomplished musicians. And the number of the pianos possessed is in the leading place in the nation, though there isonly a population of 20,000 people. No tourist can afford to miss one attraction located on the island —— the nation's largest piano museum. Divided into two exhibition halls, the museum guides visitors through a vivid history of the instrument with displays and illustrations. All different types of pianos such as miniature pianos, automatic pianos, accordion pianos and round-shaped pianos, are on display. The architecture in the islet varies greatly in style, Chinese and foreign. Thus the islet has a laudatory title the World Architecture Museum Covered in green all the year round, it's charming, elegant, secluded and serene. A great variety of villas stand shrouded by lush wood resembling numerous jadeites embellished upon a piece of verdant silk brocade. Hundreds of flowers grown on the Riguang Rock (Sunlight Rock) vie with one another for beauty. With the caressing sea breeze, it's a quite cool place in hot summer. At the foot of the rock, there's the Memorial Hall to honor the national Hero Zheng Chenggong.Today, Gulangyu is listed as one of the nation's major scenic spots. The main sites of interest here include the Sunlit Rock, Shuzhuang Park, Gangzihou Bathing Beach and Memorial Hall to Zheng Chenggong, which are visited annually by millions of people from all parts of the country and the world. For people living in the hustle and bustle of today's metropolis, citizens on this island seem to live in a paradise with a relaxing, healthy and placid lifestyle. 小学用英语介绍厦门简短一点的作文
小学用英语介绍厦门简短一点的作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Xiamen - My Hometown!Hi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a fourth-grade student here in Xiamen. Today, I want to tell you all about my amazing hometown!Xiamen is a beautiful island city in southeast China, right across the Taiwan Strait. It has a warm subtropical climate, which means our winters are mild and our summers are hot and humid. But don't worry, we have plenty of beaches to cool off at!One of my favorite places in Xiamen is Gulangyu Island. This little island is just a short ferry ride away from downtown. It's a pedestrian-only zone, so no cars or motorcycles are allowed. That makes it really peaceful and quiet. The whole island is filled with old colonial-style buildings that are so pretty. My friends and I love riding our bikes around to explore!Another awesome place is Nanputuo Temple. It's one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Xiamen, over a thousand years old!The temple grounds are huge, with pagodas, gardens, and giant Buddha statues. I always feel so calm and relaxed walking around there. During Chinese New Year, the temple gets super crowded with people burning incense and praying for good luck.Of course, Xiamen is famous for its delicious seafood! Being an island, we get super fresh fish, shrimp, crabs, oysters and more every day. My dad loves taking me to the Huating Seafood Market to pick out live seafood to cook at home. I'm not a big fan of super spicy or stinky foods yet, but I do love the mild white curry dishes here. One unique thing about Xiamen is our dialect - Amoy or Xiamenese. It's quite different from standard Mandarin Chinese. All the elders in my family speak it fluently, but it's pretty hard for me to pick up! The tones sound really funny to my ears. I can understand some basic phrases though.During summer vacation, my family likes to go to the beaches in Xiamen. Nanai Island has beautiful white sandy beaches and clear blue waters. We'll rent a little hut, swim, build sandcastles, and just relax under the sun all day. At night, there are lots of fun activities and games on the beach. I stuffed myself with BBQ squid and cotton candy last time! That's just a small glimpse into my cool hometown. Xiamen has an amazing mix of modern and historical sights, yummy foods, fun activities and awesome natural scenery. We get lots of tourists from China and abroad too. I'm so lucky I get to grow up in such a special place! Hopefully you can come visit Xiamen someday and experience it for yourself.篇2My Hometown XiamenHi friends! My name is Xiaoming and I'm going to tell you about my awesome hometown, Xiamen. It's a really cool city in the southeast part of China, right next to the Taiwan Strait. Get ready to learn some fun facts!Xiamen is famous for its beautiful islands and beaches. The main island where I live is called Xiamen Island, but there are also lots of other smaller islands nearby. One of my favorite places is Gulangyu Island. It's a totally car-free island with amazing old buildings and gardens. We always take visitors there to walk along the seaside and eat yummy snacks. The weather in Xiamen is great! It's warm and sunny most of the year. Even in winter, the temperature doesn't get too cold. That's why Xiamen is called one of the best places in China if youdon't like freezing winters. My friends and I love playing outside all year round. You should definitely try the tasty food when you visit Xiamen. We have the best seafood because we're right by the ocean. My favorite is the fresh oyster omelets from the street vendors. Xiamen is also known for its unique snacks like potato balls, beef candy, and tofu pudding. Everything is so delicious! One really cool thing about Xiamen is all the different cultures. A long time ago, people came here from places like Portugal, Holland, and Japan for trade. You can still see their influence today in the old architecture and temples around the city. Every year there's a huge festival celebrating all the different cultures that make Xiamen special.I'm lucky that Xiamen has lots of parks and green spaces too. Huandao Road is my favorite – it's a scenic path that goes all the way around the island with great views of the sea. There are exercise stations, playgrounds, and gardens along the way. My family and I love riding our bikes or just taking a relaxing stroll there.Even though Xiamen feels sort of small and cozy, it's actually a pretty big city with over 3 million people! The city center has tall buildings, big shopping malls, movies theaters, andeverything else a modern city needs. But you don't have to go far to find quieter streets lined with traditional homes and shops.I feel really lucky to grow up in such an amazing place. Xiamen has the perfect mix of natural beauty, fascinating culture and history, and convenient city life. I hope you can come visit my hometown someday! Let me know if you have any other questions.篇3Xiamen - A Beautiful Seaside City!Hi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm going to tell you all about the amazing city of Xiamen where I live. It's a really cool place by the sea and I love it here!Xiamen is on the southeast coast of China, in a province called Fujian. It's made up of Xiamen Island and some parts on the mainland too. The whole city has a warm climate all year round which is great for going to the beach! One of the best things about Xiamen is all the pretty scenery. There are sandy beaches with palm trees and blue-green ocean water. My favorite is Hulishan Fortress beach - the sand is so softand the views are stunning. You can see the unique architecture of Xiamen from there too.The old buildings in Xiamen are called Amoy Deco style and they look really cool and different from other cities in China. They have curved roofs, spiral staircases, and are decorated with shells, animals, and geometric patterns. Wandering through the narrow alleyways in neighborhoods like Shapowei is like stepping back in time!Gulangyu Island is a pedestrian-only island just off the coast of Xiamen Island. No cars or bicycles are allowed there which makes it super peaceful and relaxing. The whole island is covered in trees and gardens with winding paths to explore. And the ice cream there is delicious! If you like parks, there are lots of great ones in Xiamen too. My top pick is Huandao Road Coastal Park which runs along the shoreline. You can walk or cycle the path and enjoy amazing views of Xiamen's skyline and the sea. There are also cool sculptures and play areas along the way.Something unique about Xiamen is its dialect called Amoy which is different from standard Chinese. I'm still learning it but it sounds really musical and funny to me. Lots of people in Xiamenare descendants of immigrants from the southern provinces so the culture here has influences from places like Guangdong too.The food in Xiamen is out of this world! Since it's a coastal city, there is incredible fresh seafood everywhere. My favorites are the oyster omelets, steamed razor clams, and fried rice with assorted seafood. The snack foods here are also addictively good - don't miss trying rice dumplings, meat pies, and egg cakes. As you can probably tell, I absolutely love living in Xiamen! If you ever get a chance to visit, you'll understand why so many people fall in love with this seaside paradise!篇4My Hometown XiamenHi, my name is Lily and I'm going to tell you about my amazing hometown, Xiamen! It's a beautiful city in the southeast part of China, right next to the Taiwan Strait. Xiamen is famous for its lovely weather, delicious food, and stunning scenery. Let me share some of my favorite things about this special place!First, the weather in Xiamen is just perfect almost all year round. We have a subtropical climate, which means it's warm and sunny most days. Even in winter, the temperature rarely drops below 50°F (10°C)! My friends from colder cities are always jealous when I tell them I can wear shorts and t-shirts outside in January. The summers are hot but not unbearably so, and we get refreshing sea breezes. Basically, it's shorts and sandals weather for at least 9 months of the year!Another awesome thing about Xiamen is the food. Since we're a coastal city, fresh seafood is easy to find. My favorite local dish is fried oyster omelet - it's so fresh, savory and delicious! We also have tons of amazing street food like barbecued skewers, steamed buns, and sweet soup desserts. And you can't leave Xiamen without trying our locally-grown lychee and longan fruits when they're in season. They're like candy from nature's candy store! But what really makes Xiamen special is how pretty it is. Our city is built on an island connected to the mainland by bridges over the water. That means there are great views everywhere you look! My school is right near the ocean and I love watching the sailboats and ferries go by during class. At night, all the buildingsalong the shoreline light up and reflect on the water - it's so romantic and magical looking. Some of Xiamen's most famous scenic spots are Gulangyu Island, a wonderful pedestrian-only area with old colonial houses and gardens, and Nanputuo Temple, one of China's most important Buddhist sites. I also really enjoy just walking along the beaches and boardwalks, looking at the interesting shells and rocks. Or you can ride a bike around the cute little lanes and alleys of the old part of town. There's lovely scenery everywhere you turn!In my opinion, Xiamen is one of the best cities in all of China. The weather lets you enjoy being outside year-round, the food is out-of-this-world delicious, and the natural scenery is just breathtaking. I feel so lucky to call this beautiful, relaxing place my home. If you ever get a chance to visit China, you have to come see Xiamen! I'll show you all my favorite spots for sure.篇5My Hometown - XiamenHi friends! My name is Xiaoming and I'm from a really cool city called Xiamen. It's in the Fujian Province of China, right on the coast. I love my hometown and I want to tell you all about it!Xiamen is on a little island connected to the mainland by bridges. It's one of the oldest Buddhist temples in China, over a thousand years old! The temple buildings are so pretty and there are huge statues of Buddha all around. People come from everywhere to visit or study at the universities here.I'm so lucky I get to grow up in Xiamen! The combination of modern city life and ancient Chinese culture is really special. Whenever I visit places like Nanputuo Templeor Gulangyu Island, I feel like I've traveled back in time. The architecture and the stories behind these places are fascinating!Speaking of Gulangyu Island, it's one of my favorite spots in Xiamen. Sometimes, there are musicians playing beautiful melodies on their instruments, creating a magical atmosphere. It's like stepping into a fairy tale!Another reason why I love Xiamen is the delicious food. Xiamen is famous for its seafood, and I can never resist the mouthwatering aroma of grilled fish or shrimp. There are also lots of street food stalls where you can try local snacks like oyster omelettes or peanut soup. Every bite is a burst of flavors that make my taste buds dance with joy!But it's not just the sights and the food that make Xiamen special. The people here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's a beautiful place located on the southeast coast of China, right across the Taiwan Strait. Whenever I visit Xiamen with my family, I feel like I'm in paradise. Let me tell you all about the things I love most about this amazing city.First of all, Xiamen has the most incredible beaches! The soft, golden sand feels so nice between my toes, and the clear, blue water is perfect for swimming and splashing around. My favorite beach is Huandao Road Beach because it has a long stretch of sand where I can run and play all day. I love building sandcastles and burying my little brother in the sand (just for fun, of course!). Sometimes, we even see little crabs scurrying along the shoreline, which is really cool. But the best part about Xiamen's beaches is the amazing view. From the beach, you can see Gulangyu Island, which is this beautiful, pedestrian-only island covered in old, historic buildings and lush greenery. It looks like something straight out of a storybook! I always beg my parents to take me on the ferry over to Gulangyu so I can explore its narrow, winding streets and try all the delicious local snacks.Speaking of food, Xiamen has some of the tastiest dishes I've ever tried. The city is famous for its delicious seafood, like fresh oyster omelets, barbecued skewers of squid and shrimp, and steamed fish with soy sauce and ginger. My mouth waters just thinking about it! But my absolute favorite Xiamen treat is the sweet and savory pork sandwiches called xiaolongbao. These little dumplings are filled with hot soup and melt-in-your-mouthpork, and they're so good that I could eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!Another thing I love about Xiamen is all the fun activities and attractions. One of my favorite places is Nanputuo Temple, which is this huge Buddhist temple complex with stunning architecture and colorful temples. I love exploring the peaceful gardens and watching the monks go about their daily routines. Sometimes, if I'm really lucky, I get to witness a special ceremony or festival celebration. Then there's Zhongshan Road, which is this long, pedestrian shopping street lined with little stores and food stalls. I could spend hours browsing the toy shops, sampling the street food, and watching the talented street performers and musicians. And at night, the whole street is illuminated by hundreds of twinkling lights – it's like something out of a fairytale! But I think my very favorite part of Xiamen is the warm, tropical weather and laid-back island vibe. Unlike the big, crowded cities in China, Xiamen feels relaxed and breezy, with swaying palm trees and the fresh scent of the ocean in the air. I love riding my bike along the waterfront promenade and feeling the warm sea breeze in my hair. It's the perfect place to kick back, relax, and enjoy the simple pleasures in life.Whenever I have to leave Xiamen and go back home, I'm always so sad. I miss the sunny beaches, the mouthwatering food, the lively atmosphere, and that wonderful island spirit. But I know that I'll be back again soon to make more magical memories in my favorite city. Xiamen, you have a very special place in my heart!篇6My Favorite City: XiamenXiamen is my absolute favorite city in the whole world! I love Xiamen for so many reasons – the amazing food, the stunning scenery, the rich culture and history, and all the fun things there are to see and do. Let me tell you all about what makes Xiamen so special to me.First off, the food in Xiamen is out of this world delicious! Since Xiamen is a coastal city, they have the most incredible fresh seafood. My mouth waters just thinking about the sizzling plates of prawns, clams, crabs, and fish that you can get at the restaurants along the waterfront. The seafood is so fresh and flavorful. My favorite Xiamen treat is oyster omelets made with fresh Xiamen oysters, eggs, and lots of delicious sauces and seasonings. Whenever I visit, I beg my parents to take me for oyster omelets!Beyond the amazing food, Xiamen is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen. It's located on the Taiwan Strait with several small offshore islands. The main island of Xiamen is crisscrossed with winding streets and historic neighborhoods. One of my favorite areas is Gulangyu Island, which doesn't allow any cars or vehicles. You can wander the old lanes lined with banyan trees and see gorgeous colonial european-style mansions. The sandy beaches and blue-green waters around Xiamen make it feel like a tropical paradise.Xiamen also has over a thousand years of fascinating history and culture. The city used to be a major shipping port and you can see influences from the Dutch, Portuguese, and other traders who passed through over the centuries. There are temples, churches, and old forts to explore. One of the coolest places is the Huandao Road Coastal Scenic Area where you can walk along the shoreline and admire the unique rounded gates, stone carvings, and beautiful gardens. Every year there are dragon boatraces and other festivals with amazing music, dancing, and cultural performances. As if the sights, sounds, and flavors of Xiamen weren't enough, there are also so many awesome things to do in the city. You can go hiking on Xiamen's highest mountain, Wulaofeng, or take a boat tour around the islands. There are great beaches for swimming, sunbathing, and building sandcastles. My personal favorite is the Xiamen Underwater World aquarium where you can see sharks, rays, and thousands of colorful fish up close through the gigantic curved underwater viewing tunnels.I also love visiting all of Xiamen's cool parks and gardens like the Botanical Garden with over 6,500 types of plants, the amusement parks with super fun rides and games, and places like the Shuzhuang Garden that hosts cultural shows. At night, the different neighborhoods come alive with night markets selling snacks, souvenirs, clothes, and trinkets. My siblings and I beg our parents to bring us to the night markets so we can sample all the tasty street foods on skewers and in cups.Every time my family visits Xiamen, I'm so sad when it's time to leave. I dream about moving there one day when I'm older. To me, Xiamen is one of the most special cities in the world. It has the best cuisine, the most stunning scenery, a deep heritage, andso much to do for people of all ages. Whenever I spent time in Xiamen, I make memories that I'll cherish forever. I've been to Xiamen a few times with my family, and I always have the best time there! One of the things I love most about Xiamen is the stunning natural scenery. The city is surrounded by the Taiwan Strait, andthere are so many amazing beaches and islands to explore. My favorite is Gulangyu Island, which is often called the "Garden on the Sea." It's a pedestrian-only island, so there are no cars or bikes allowed. Instead, you can walk along the charming narrow streets and admire the beautiful old buildings.Gulangyu Island is also home to the famous Sunlight Rock. I love climbing up the steps to the top of the rock and taking in the breathtaking view of the sea and the city skyline.Another place I really enjoy in Xiamen is Nanputuo Temple. It's an ancient Buddhist temple that dates back over a thousand years! The temple is located on a hilltop, and you have to climb up a long, winding staircase to reach it. But trust me, it's totally worth the effort. The temple is absolutely stunning, with intricate carvings, colorful statues, and the most beautiful gardens filled with fragrant flowers and towering trees.Whenever I visit Nanputuo Temple, I feel a sense of peace and calm washing over me. It's like I'm stepping into a different world, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I love sitting quietly in the temple and listening to the gentle chimes ofthe bells and the soothing sound of the breeze rustling through the trees.I also love the famous Xiamen Oyster Omelet. It's a savory omelet filled with fresh, plump oysters, and it's seasoned with a special sauce that adds just the right amount of tang and spice. Whenever I visit, I'm struck by how warm, friendly, and welcoming everyone is. The locals are always happy to share stories about their city and their culture, and they make me feel right at home. One of my fondest memories of Xiamen is when I got lost while exploring the streets of Gulangyu Island. I was walking around, admiring the beautiful architecture, when I realized I had no idea where I was or how to get back to our hotel. I started to panic, but then a kind elderly woman noticed me and asked if I needed help.Despite the language barrier (she spoke very little English, and I didn't know any Chinese), she managed to understand my situation. She took me by the hand and gently guided me through the winding streets, pointing out landmarks andchatting to me along the way. Even though I couldn't understand everything she said, I could feel the warmth and kindness in her voice and her smile. After what felt like forever, we finally reached my hotel, and she waved goodbye with the biggest, brightest smile on her face. That experience taught me that the people of Xiamen have the most generous and caring hearts, and it's one of the reasons why I love the city so much.Whenever I think about Xiamen, I'm filled with happy memories and a longing to go back. From the stunning natural beauty to the mouthwatering cuisine and the welcoming locals, Xiamen truly is a magical place. It's a beautiful place by the sea with lots of fun things to do and see. I feel so lucky to live here. One of the best things about Xiamen is the amazing beaches. Whenever my family has a free weekend, we pack up our beach toys, sunscreen, and snacks and head to the sandy shores. I love building sandcastles and watching the waves crash against the golden sand. The water is such a pretty blue-green color and nice and warm for swimming. My brother and I spend hours splashing around and playing in the gentle waves. Sometimes we see little crabs scuttling along or seagulls swooping overhead. After we've had our fill of the beach, we like to wander along the seaside promenades and boardwalks. There are lots of cool sculptures, pretty gardens, and street performers to watch. My favorite are the chinese yo-yo masters who can do all sorts of incredible tricks. I've been practicing with a yo-yo my grandpa gave me, but I'm nowhere near as good as they are yet! The promenades also have loads of little snack stands selling delicious street food. I love getting freshly grilled skewers of meat or veggie fritters from the vendors. The smells are so mouth-watering.Another awesome thing about Xiamen is all the little islands just off the coast that you can take a quick ferry ride to visit. Gulangyu is probably my favorite. It's a pedestrian-only island filled with super cool old colonial-era houses, quirky sculptures, and music constantly playing from the many buskers stationed along the walking paths. I feel like I've traveled back in time whenever we go there. The best part is getting fresh sugary boba tea and strolling the winding lanes while listening to the music.I'm constantly amazed at how clean and green Xiamen is compared to other big cities in China. There are flower beds, perfectly manicured gardens, and leafy trees everywhere you look. The parks are impeccably maintained too - perfect for riding my bike or just laying on the grass cloud watching. The government must work really hard to keep everything so fresh and beautiful. I hope they keep it up so Xiamen can stay a paradise for a long, long time.I feel so fortunate to grow up surrounded by Xiamen's stunning ocean scenery, rich culture, fresh air, and tasty cuisine. If I could, I would choose to stay here forever. To me, Xiamen is like a real-life paradise on earth. Whenever I'm having a stressful day at school or getting pestered by my little brother, I just have to step outside and look around at the incredible natural beautyto feel instantly better. Living in this amazing coastal city is an adventure every single day, filled with new sights, sounds, and flavors to experience. I'm going to keep exploring and discovering as much as I can! Xiamen, you have my heart.篇4My Favorite Place - XiamenXiamen is the most amazing place in the whole world! I absolutely love visiting this beautiful city on the southeastern coast of China. Every time my family goes there, I get so excited because I know we're going to have the best time.First of all, the weather in Xiamen is pretty much perfect all year round. It's never too hot or too cold. The temperature is usually between 60-80°F (15-27°C). That's just right for going to the beach, riding bikes, or doing fun outdoor activities. And the best part is, it hardly ever rains! We can pretty much count on having sunny skies during our visit.Speaking of the beaches, the ones in Xiamen are breathtaking. The sand is soft and white, and the water is so clear and blue. You can see straight through to the bottom! My favorite beach is Kulangsu Beach on Kulangsu Island. Getting there is an adventure in itself because you have to take a littleferry boat across the harbor. Once you arrive, it's like being transported to a tropical paradise. There are palm trees gently swaying in the breeze and brightly colored flowers everywhere. I love building sandcastles, collecting seashells, and splashing around in the shallow waves. After a day at the beach, we always stop for a delicious seafood dinner. The fresh fish and shrimp in Xiamen is out of this world! My mom orders the whole crispy fried fish - it's bigger than me but I can almost eat it all by myself because it's so yummy. I like dipping it in the spicy sauce. The clams, oysters, and scallops are also amazing. We always get a big plate of them to share with everyone at our table. The next day, we'll usually walk around Nanputuo Temple, which is a famous Buddhist temple complex right in the heart of the city. I'm stunned by how incredibly detailed and ornate all the buildings and statues are. The architecture is breathtaking and everything is so brightly painted in reds, blues, and golds. There are friendly monks and visitors doing traditional ceremonies with incense and chimes. My favorite area is the Wunian Rock Buddhas - hundreds of tiny Buddha statues that have been carved into the rocky cliffs overlooking the ocean. It's such a peaceful and spiritual place. Not too far from the temple is Zhongshan Road, which is an awesome pedestrian shopping street. I love walking up and down looking at all the fun stores and street food vendors. You can find everything from traditional Chinese arts and crafts to trendy clothes and souvenirs. And the snacks are endless! There are steaming hot dumplings, flaky egg tarts, fresh lychee fruits, and my personal favorite - bubble tea with chewy tapioca balls. My mom has to stop me from eating too many sweet treats. On our last day, we always take a bus tour around Xiamen Island and the neighboring little islands. I love driving across all the cool bridges and being surrounded by the sparkling blue ocean on all sides. We'll stop at parks like Xiamen Botanical Garden to see the colorful flowers and lush greenery. We even get to do fun stuff like visiting a pearl farm to see how pearls are harvested from oysters! One of my favorite places we visit is Kulangsu Island, which used to be an international settlement in the 1800s. All the old architecture from that era is still preserved, making it feel like stepping back in time. The pedestrian streets are lined with European-style villas painted in cheerful colors like yellow, pink, and baby blue. There are quaint cafes and teahouses mixed in too. I feel like I'm in a storybook wandering around the narrowalleys and greenhouse-style windows. No cars are allowed on the island, so it's very quiet and peaceful. At night, we always head to the Zhongshan Scenic Area along the harbor for amazing views of the city skyline. All the modern skyscrapers and apartment buildings are lit up in neon lights reflecting on the water. There are music shows, street performers, and bustling night markets too. I love getting a sugary snack like candied strawberries or dragon's beard candy and watching the colorful skyscrapers twinkle. After a fun-filled trip, I'm always sad to leave Xiamen. I make a wish to come back soon as our plane takes off and I look down at the island slowly disappearing into the clouds. From the fresh seafood and friendly people to the historic sites and coastal scenery, Xiamen truly is a magical place. I'm already counting down the days until our next family vacation there! I hope you'll get a chance to experience this incredible city for yourself someday too. Just make sure to bring your swimsuit!篇5My Lovely XiamenHi, my name is Lily, and I'm a 10-year-old girl from Xiamen, a beautiful city in the southeast of China. It's like living in a paradise, with the sea breeze gently caressing our faces and the sound of waves lulling us to sleep at night. Whenever I go to the beach, I can't help but feel a sense of peace and tranquility. The soft, golden sand between my toes and the sun's warm rays on my skin make me want to stay there forever. One of my favorite places in Xiamen is Gulangyu Island, a pedestrian-only island just a short ferry ride away from the main city. It's like stepping back in time, with its narrow alleyways, colonial-style buildings, and a laid-back atmosphere. I love exploring the island's winding streets, peeking into the quaint little shops, and trying out the delicious local snacks, like the famous Gulangyu lace cookies.Speaking of food, Xiamen is a foodie's heaven! Our city is renowned for its delicious seafood, and my favorite dish is the classic Xiamen-style oyster omelet. The plump, juicy oysters combined with the fluffy egg and aromatic seasonings make my mouth water just thinking about it. I also love the tangy andrefreshing tastes of our local snacks, like the sugar-coated lychee fruit and the chewy taro balls.Another thing that makes Xiamen so special is its rich cultural heritage. The city has a unique blend of Chinese and foreign influences, which you can see in its architecture, cuisine, and customs. One of my favorite cultural events is the Xiamen International Marathon, where runners from all over the world come to our city to participate in this exciting race. The atmosphere is electric, with people cheering and music playing along the scenic route. But what I love most about Xiamen is its warm and welcoming people. Wherever I go, I'm greeted with friendly smiles and a sense of community. My neighbors are like extended family, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a heartwarming story. It's a beautiful city on the southeast coast of China with so many amazing things to see and do. Let me tell you all about why Xiamen is the best place ever.First of all, the weather in Xiamen is just perfect. It's nice and warm pretty much all year round, but not too hot or humid. The summers are sunny but get cool ocean breezes. And in winter, you can wear a light jacket instead of bundling up in heavy coats like in the colder parts of China. My friends who visit from other cities are always commenting on how nice the weather is.Then there are the stunning beaches that stretch for miles along the coastline. Xiamen is famous for having some of the best beaches in the country. The sand is soft and golden, and the water is clear blue-green and warm enough for swimming. My family loves spending weekends relaxing on the beach, building sandcastles, playing in the waves, and eating delicious fresh seafood. I've even seen dolphins swimming not too far from shore!Speaking of seafood, the food in Xiamen is out of this world delicious! Since we're surrounded by the ocean, we get an endless supply of the freshest fish, shrimp, crab, and other tasty treats from the sea. My favorite local dishes are oyster omelets, Buddha Jumping Over the Wall soup, andrice noodle rolls. The snack streets are heaven for street food fans like me, with stalls selling amazing skewers, dumplings, soups, and desserts. I could eat Xiamen food every day and never get bored.Xiamen has tons of fun things for kids to do too. I love going to the amusement parks like Huandao Road Coastal Recreational Area which has huge roller coasters, carnival games, and places to try different adventures like bungee trampolining. The parks along the seaside have awesome playgrounds too. And Nanputuo Temple is a serene place with pretty gardens that'sfun to explore. There's always some kind of cool festival or event happening around the city as well. What really makes Xiamen special though is the fascinating mix of cultures and history here. Parts of the city have amazing colonial European architecture left over from when it was a trading port. You can walk down streets lined with little cafes, boutiques, and architecture that looks like it came straight out of the Mediterranean. Then you'll turn a corner and be surrounded by traditional Chinese temples, gardens, and neighborhoods that have hardly changed in centuries. Gulangyu Island in particular is like stepping back in time to the 1920s.Because of its East-meets-West blend, Xiamen has such a unique, cosmopolitan atmosphere. People come from all over the world to experience it. You'll hear lots of different languages being spoken by tourists wandering the lively pedestrian streets. And at night, the city is illuminated by colorful lights and lively nightlife. Yet at its core, Xiamen holds on tightly to its traditions and Hokkien/Minnan roots going back generations.I'm extremely lucky to have been born and raised in such an extraordinary city. Wherever I go in life, Xiamen will always be my one true home. Just writing about it makes me longing to go for a stroll along the seaside, watching the sunset over the oceanwith a snack from a beloved street vendor in hand. Despite all its growth and Outside influences, Xiamen has managed to hold onto its natural beauty, culture, and unique charms. That's why it will forever be my favorite place on Earth.。

It's a teeny tiny island right next to Xiamen, and you can only get there by taking a little ferryboat. No cars are allowed on the island, so it's really peaceful. You can walk along the shore, build sandcastles, and even rent little paddle boats to go out on the water. So much fun!The buildings in Xiamen are super neat too. Lots of them are built in a style called Amoy Deco, which mixes Chinese and Western styles together. They have bright colors, curvy shapes, and cool decorations. It kind of reminds me of gingerbread houses! My favorite is the Hulianjie Pedestrian Street. It's an oldshopping street with alleyways and little stores selling yummy snacks and souvenirs.Speaking of snacks, the food in Xiamen is amazing! Since it's by the ocean, they have the best seafood ever. My top picks are the oyster omelets and the sand ginger fish soup. For dessert, you have to try the yam balls. They look kind of weird but taste sooooo good! Xiamen is also known for its Tan Tze drink, which is made from special local herbs. It's supposed to be really healthy for you.Another cool thing about Xiamen is all the festivals and celebrations they have. The biggest one is the Zheng Chenggong Festival, which honors a famous military leader from long ago. During the festival, there are dragon dances, martial arts performances, and lots of other fun activities. I went once and it was awesome!Overall, Xiamen is just a really special place with a mix of natural beauty, unique architecture, delicious food, and rich culture. If you ever get a chance to visit, you should definitely go!I hope I can take a trip back there again soon. Okay, that's all for my essay! Let me know if you have any other questions.篇3嗨,小朋友们!我是Claude叔叔。
