教材分析本课是北师大版《初中英语》八年级上册第三单元,话题是“节日”。
本课是本单元的第一课,在承接Get Ready部分有关“Festival and Holidays”话题的基础上,本课主要介绍Grace在北京过春节的情况。
本课的教学主要分成两个课时,本节课是第一课时,侧重对课文的理解,首先通过头脑风暴的形式激发学生已有的知识:一年中的主要节日。
然后利用猜谜游戏引入中国传统节日---春节,以及春节人们都有哪些活动。
接着通过阅读了解Grace在北京过春节的文章大意和细节信息---Grace在除夕当天的各种活动,以及Grace当时的感受。
本节课主要渗透现在完成时的疑问句的相关知识,主要引导学生理解现在完成时的语用功能。
学情分析授课学校位于北京郊区的城乡结合部,学生的英语水平参差不齐,但大多数学生的英语水平较弱,学生整体英语能力一般,但思维较活跃,对英语学习比较有兴趣。
对于教材中要求掌握的基本词汇和句型能够较快理解并运用。
学生阅读能力参差不齐,大部分同学可以通过阅读查找细节信息,但是猜词和归纳、推断等高一级的阅读技能很欠缺。
本节课课型为阅读课,针对这种情况,在设计上,考虑学生的层次差距,设计题型具有阶梯性,由易到难,让学困生在阅读中重新找回自信,优等生有机会发挥。
作为初二的学生,培养其良好的阅读能力非常重要,所以本节课的内容设计上注重此点。
教学目标在本课学习结束时,学生能够:1、认读有关节日名称及相关活动的词汇2、通过阅读找出Grace在北京过春节时的各种活动信息,并能根据上下文猜测生词的含义。

但是正确区分现在完成时和一般过去时的语用功能对他们来说还是有一定难度的。
