学情分析授课学校位于北京郊区的城乡结合部，学生的英语水平参差不齐，但大多数学生的英语水平较弱，学生整体英语能力一般，但思维较活跃，对英语学习比较有兴趣。

对于教材中要求掌握的基本词汇和句型能够较快理解并运用。

学生阅读能力参差不齐，大部分同学可以通过阅读查找细节信息，但是猜词和归纳、推断等高一级的阅读技能很欠缺。

本节课课型为阅读课，针对这种情况，在设计上，考虑学生的层次差距，设计题型具有阶梯性，由易到难，让学困生在阅读中重新找回自信，优等生有机会发挥。

作为初二的学生，培养其良好的阅读能力非常重要，所以本节课的内容设计上注重此点。

教学目标在本课学习结束时，学生能够：1、认读有关节日名称及相关活动的词汇2、通过阅读找出Grace在北京过春节时的各种活动信息，并能根据上下文猜测生词的含义。
