“TheFoxandTheCrow……”

As someone who loves storytelling, I find the idea of the Chinese and Western Storytelling Competition fascinating. I believe that stories have the power to connect people from all walks of life, and this competition is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the beauty and diversity of storytelling from around the world. When it comes to Chinese stories, one of my favorites is the legend of the White Snake. This is a story about a snake spirit who falls in love with a human man and takes on a human form to be with him. However, their love is forbidden by the gods, and they face many obstacles and challenges before they can finally be together. I love this story because it is both romantic and tragic, and it has a powerful message about the power of love to overcome even the greatest obstacles. As for Western stories, one of my favorites is the tale of Cinderella. This is a classic fairy tale about a young girl who is mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters but ultimately finds happiness with the help of her fairy godmother. I love this story because it is a timeless tale of hope and perseverance, and it reminds us that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light to be found.

The 4th Grade English Speech Competition on Holidays was an exciting and enriching experience for me. As a young student eager to improve my English language skills, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in this event and showcase my knowledge and understanding of various holidays celebrated around the world. The preparation process for this competition was both challenging and rewarding. My teacher assigned me the task of researching and presenting a speech on the topic of Thanksgiving a holiday that is widely celebrated in the United States. I spent countless hours poring over information about the history, traditions, and significance of this special day, determined to craft a compelling and informative speech that would captivate the audience. As I delved deeper into my research, I was fascinated to learn about the origins of Thanksgiving. I discovered that the holiday traces its roots back to the 17th century, when the Pilgrims who had recently arrived in the New World celebrated a successful harvest with the native Wampanoag people. This act of coming together, sharing abountiful feast, and expressing gratitude resonated with me deeply. I was inspired by the idea of community, togetherness, and the appreciation for the blessings in our lives. In my speech, I aimed to not only provide factual information about Thanksgiving but also to convey the underlying message of the holiday. I wanted to highlight the importance of giving thanks, of recognizing the abundance we have been granted, and of fostering connections with those around us. I emphasized the traditions that have endured over the centuries, such as the iconic Thanksgiving meal, the parades, and the spirit of generosity and compassion that permeates this special day.As I stood on the stage, facing a room full of my peers and teachers, I felt a surge of nervous excitement. However, my preparation and passion for the topic soon took over, and I found myself speaking with confidence and enthusiasm. I shared anecdotes about my own family's Thanksgiving celebrations, describing the delicious aromas wafting through the house, the laughter and conversations around the table, and the traditions we cherish year after year. One of the most memorable moments of my speech was when I spoke about the tradition of expressing gratitude. I encouraged the audience to take a moment to reflect on the blessings in their lives, whether it be their family, their friends, their health, or theopportunities they have been given. I emphasized that Thanksgiving is not just about the food or the festivities, but about the deeper meaning of appreciating and acknowledging the good in our lives. As I concluded my speech, I could feel the energy and engagement of the audience. They seemed captivated by the stories and insights I had shared, and I was thrilled to see their nods of agreement and enthusiastic applause. It was in that moment that I realized the true power of effective communication and the ability to inspire and connect with others through the power of words. The 4th Grade English Speech Competition on Holidays was not just a contest but a transformative experience for me. It allowed me to develop my public speaking skills, to deepen my understanding of different cultural traditions, and to find my voice as a young communicator. The confidence and pride I felt after delivering my speech were immeasurable, and I knew that this experience would stay with me long after the competition had ended. As I reflect on this event, I am reminded of the importance of embracing challenges, pursuing knowledge, and sharing our stories with others. The 4th Grade English Speech Competition on Holidays was not just about winning a prize; it was about the journey of self-discovery, the joy of learning, and the power of using our voices to inspire and connect with those around us.。

1The School English Story ContestLast month, our teacher Mrs. Roberts announced that our class would be participating in the annual School English Story Contest. I was really excited because I love writing stories, especially funny ones that make people laugh.Mrs. Roberts said we had to write an original short story of 500 words or less, all in English. The story could be about anything we wanted, but it had to be appropriate for elementary students. The best stories from each class would be chosen to compete against the other grades.I spent a few weeks thinking about what kind of story I wanted to write. At first, I thought about writing a spooky ghost story, but then I decided a silly comedy would be more fun. I got the idea to write about a group of animals who start their own rock band!I worked really hard on my story, trying to make the plot interesting and the characters funny. I named the bunny drummer "Thumper" and the bird singer "Tweety." I made sure to check my spelling and grammar carefully since it had to be in English. When it was time to turn in our stories, I felt both nervous and proud of my work. A few weeks later, Mrs. Roberts announced that my story "The Animal Rock Stars" was chosen to represent our class! I was so happy and couldn't wait for the contest. On the day of the contest, I got to read my story in front of the whole school. Hearing the laughter from the audience when I read the funny parts made me feel great. Even though I didn't win the overall contest, I had so much fun writing and sharing my silly animal story. I can't wait for next year's contest!篇2My English Story ContestI was so excited when my teacher Ms. Roberts announced there would be an English Story Telling Contest at our school! I loved making up silly stories and sharing them with my familyand friends. Getting a chance to tell a story on stage in front of the whole school sounded super fun.First, I had to pick out a story to tell. I spent days trying to decide on the perfect tale. Should I do a funny story about a talking dog? A spooky ghost story? Finally, I chose to make up my own adventure about a kid who finds a magical seashell on the beach that grants wishes. I practiced telling it over and over, using different silly voices for the characters. The day of the contest, my tummy was full of butterflies. There were so many other students waiting behind the curtain to go on stage. I kept going over the story in my head so I wouldn't forget any parts. Finally, it was my turn. I took a deep breath and walked out, blinded by the bright stage lights. I couldn't really see the audience, which helped me feel less nervous.I launched into my story, giving it all the energy and excitement I could. The words just flowed out, and before I knew it, I was taking a big bow as the audience cheered and clapped. I had done it! Telling my homemade story in English in front of everyone was so thrilling. Even though I didn't win a prize, I felt like a champion. Ms. Roberts told me I have a gift for storytelling.I can't wait for the next contest!篇3My English Story Adventure!Wow, I can't believe I won the English Story Contest at my school! It was so exciting and a little bit scary too. Let me tell you all about my big adventure.A few weeks ago, my English teacher Ms. Roberts announced that our class would be having a storytelling competition. She said we had to write and perform our very own original English story in front of the whole school. At first, I was really nervous. Speaking English in front of so many people? Yikes! But then I got an amazing idea for my story. It's about a brave little girl who goes on a fantastic journey through an enchanted forest to find her lost puppy. There's a wise old owl, friendly forest animals, and even a mean troll under a bridge! I worked really hard practicing my English and memorizing all the details. Finally, the big day arrived. When it was my turn on stage, I took a deep breath and began telling my tale. "Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lucy who loved her puppy Rufus more than anything..." I spoke loudly and clearly, using all the gestures and funny voices I had practiced. The audience was completely captivated! As I reached the exciting climax where Lucy outsmarts the troll, I could see everyone was on the edge of their seats. When I got to the happy ending and said "The end!", everyone cheered and clapped so loudly. I had done it!Winning that contest was one of the proudest moments of my life so far. I proved to myself that even though public speaking isn't easy, with preparation and courage, I could entertain people through English storytelling. Maybe I'll be an author or actress when I grow up! For now, I'm just really happy I got to go on this fun English story adventure.篇4The Big English Story-telling CompetitionWow, what an exciting day it was! Last Friday, our school held the annual English Story-telling Competition, and I couldn't wait to participate. I had been practicing my story for weeks, and I was determined to do my best. The competition was held in the school auditorium, which was decorated with colorful banners and streamers. All the students gathered there, and the atmosphere was electric with excitement and a little bit of nervousness too.The judges were seated at a long table in the front, and they looked very important. Mrs. Smith, our English teacher, welcomed everyone and explained the rules. Each participant would have five minutes to tell their story in English, and the judges would score them based on their language skills, creativity, and overall performance. My heart was beating like a drum as the first few students went up on stage. They were all so good! I started to feel a little nervous, but I tried to calm myself down by taking deep breaths. Finally, it was my turn. As I walked up to the microphone, I could see my classmates cheering me on from the audience. That gave me a boost of confidence."Once upon a time," I began, "there was a little girl named Lucy who loved to read books..."As I told my story, I tried to use all the English vocabulary and grammar I had learned in class. I also tried to make my story as interesting and engaging as possible, using different voices for each character and adding sound effects when necessary. Before I knew it, my five minutes were up, and I had to stop. I could hear the audience applauding and cheering, which made me feel really good. One by one, the other students took their turns, and I listened to their stories with rapt attention. Some of them were really funny, while others were more serious or even a little bit spooky. After everyone had finished, the judges huddled together to discuss their scores. The wait was agonizing, but finally, Mrs. Smith took the microphone again and announced the winners.I held my breath as she read out the names of the third and second place winners. And then, to my utter delight, she called out my name for first place! I couldn't believe it!With a huge grin on my face, I went up to the stage to receive my trophy and certificate. It was the best feeling in the world, and I felt so proud of myself for all the hard work I had put in.As I walked back to my seat, my classmates gave mehigh-fives and congratulated me. I felt like a real champion! The English Story-telling Competition was an amazing experience, and I learned so much from it. Not only did I get to practice my English skills, but I also learned the importance of confidence, hard work, and creativity. I can't wait for next year's competition!篇5My First English Story CompetitionLast month, our school had an English story competition. I was really excited because I love listening to stories in English! All the students from 3rd to 6th grade could enter by preparing a short story to read out loud.On the day of the competition, I went to the auditorium and sat with my class. The room was buzzing with nervous energy as we waited for it to start. Finally, the principal came out and welcomed everyone. She explained that students would take turns coming up on stage to read their stories. Judges would be evaluating things like pronunciation, expression, and stage presence. The first few students went up and I tried my best to listen carefully to their stories. Some were funny tales about animals, while others were exciting adventure stories. I was impressed by how well everyone spoke English. When it was my turn, my heart was pounding! I walked up the steps, took a deep breath, and began reading the story I had practiced so many times. It was about a magic seashell that could grant wishes. I did my best touse different voices for the characters and add emphasis to the exciting parts. When I finished, the audience clapped enthusiastically. I was just happy I had made it through without stumbling on any words! One by one, the rest of the students read their pieces. There was such creativity and talent in our class. Although I didn't end up winning a prize, I had a great time listening to all the unique stories. It inspired me to keep studying English so I can better understand books, movies, and plays. Maybe next year I'll write an even more imaginative tale!篇6My Big Day at the English Story ContestHi there! My name is Emma and I'm in the 5th grade. I love reading and writing stories, especially in English class. That's why I was super excited when my teacher told us about the big English Story Contest our school was having. The winner would get a huge trophy and their story published in the school newsletter! As soon as I got home that day, I plopped down at my desk and started brainstorming ideas. I thought about writing a mystery story with a kid detective, or maybe a fantasy adventurewith dragons and wizards. But then I remembered how much I loved animals, so I decided to write a story about a brave little puppy who gets lost in the city and has to find his way back home. For the next few weeks, I worked really hard on my story during any free time I had. I would write a little bit each night before bed, figuring out what crazy adventures the puppy would have. One night he followed some suspicious characters down a dark alley, another night he had to outwit a gang of ally cats that wanted to chase him away. It was so much fun using my imagination! Finally, the big day of the contest arrived. I was super nervous as I walked into the auditorium and saw all the other students clutching their story entries. My palms were sweating as I took a seat towards the front. The principal got up on stage and explained that we would all take turns reading the first few paragraphs of our stories out loud. Then a team of teachers would judge whose story was the most creative and well-written.One by one, the students started going up on stage to read their tales. There were stories about robots, stories about time travel, even one about a magical pair of shoes that could take you anywhere you wanted to go. I started getting even moreanxious wondering if my puppy story would be interesting enough. At last, it was my turn to read. I took a deep breath, tried not to think about all the people watching me, and started reading in my loudest, clearest voice:"Biscuit the puppy yawned and stretched his furry legs as the sun peeked through his doghouse window. He could smell bacon sizzling from the kitchen, which meant his owners would be up soon to feed him breakfast and take him for a walk. Biscuit could hardly wait to explore the neighborhood and sniff all the new smells."I kept reading, telling about how Biscuit got a little too curious while sniffing a storm drain and ended up falling in and getting lost in the sewer tunnels beneath the city streets. By the time I finished the first few paragraphs, I could see some of the teachers smiling and nodding along. When I walked off the stage, a bunch of my classmates gave me high fives and said they couldn't wait to hear what happened next to Biscuit. That made me feel so proud! After everyone had read their story beginnings, the judges huddled up to decide on the winner while the rest of us went outside for recess. I tried not to get my hopes up too much, but Ihad a really good feeling about my puppy tale. And sure enough, when we came back inside, the principal called my name and I won first place! I was totally shocked and so so happy. The next few weeks were a whirlwind. The school had my story professionally published with illustrations and everything. I also got to spend a day with a famous children's author who editors my story and gave me writing tips. It was so cool seeing my name in print and knowing hundreds of kids at school would be reading my words. I even got interviewed on the morning announcements about my inspirations and writing process. Talk about a celebrity for a day!Winning that contest was one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I learned that with hard work and following your passions, you really can make your dreams come true, even when you're just a kid. I can't wait to see what new adventures await as I keep reading, writing, and using my imagination. Maybe once I'm a grown up I'll be the one visiting schools and helping other students pursue their love of storytelling. The possibilities are endless when you never stop exploring with your mind. Thanks for letting me share my big day with you!。

They eat food wifh long nose这句话给背错了。
