Part 1

General items applicable to all

lamp types

1.1 Introduction

This Energy Saving Trust (“Trust”) lamp specification supersedes all previous specifications issued by the Trust. (The only exceptions will be for products still undergoing life assessment to the superseded edition at the time of publication of this document).

1.2 Lamp Groups covered by this Specification

The previous introductory items summarise the categories of lamps covered by this specification. All lamps approved by the Trust shall comply with relevant European CENELEC Standards and all additional requirements as detailed in this specification which are relevant to the lamp type(s). 以往介绍的项目概述了本规格所涵盖灯具。所有经Trust通过的灯应遵守相关欧洲SENELEC标准及一切额外的要求，详见本规格相关灯型。

1.3 Lamp definitions

Group 1 Compact Fluorescent Lamps - Electronic Self- Ballasted Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) utilising B22d, B15d, E27 or E14 caps, or any other suitable cap types which are specified in EN 60061-1, or which are in the final stages of European standardisation for inclusion in EN 60061-1. These lamp types shall comply with European Standards EN 60968 for safety and EN 60969 for performance, five classes of CFLs are specified: -

Class L– which meet the energy labelling requirements for Class B of the European Directive 98/11/EC. Additionally they shall also meet the energy labelling requirements of at least 85% of the minimum Class A requirements of Directive 98/11/EC.

Class P – which are used for decorative effect lighting and which meet the energy labelling requirements for Class B of the European Directive 98/11/EC. Additionally they shall also meet the energy labelling requirements of at least 45% of the minimum Class A requirements of Directive 98/11/EC等级P---用于装饰灯及标签要求符合欧洲指令98/11/EC的等级B.另外要求标签应至少45%符合欧洲指令98/11/EC的等级A

Class R – A compact fluorescent arc tube controlled by electronic ballasting, the combination being mounted into a reflector housing intended to fit into conventional filament reflector lamp luminaires or the like and exhibit a significantly lower energy consumption than the filament reflector lamp that it may claim to replace. 电子镇流管控CF弧光管组合陆续进入reflector housing，旨在纳入常规的filament reflector lamp luminaires或the like，相比较要被更换的filament reflector lamp，它大大降低了能耗。

Class T– Two part CFLs, comprising a light source (lamp) complying with Group 2 (see below) which is operated by separate electronic control gear contained in an ‘adaptor’ utilising bayonet or Edison screw caps (complying with EN 60061-1, EN 60598, EN 60929, EN 61347-2-3), both lamp and adaptor being supplied as a single entity at the point of sale. Replacement lamps must be readily available for purchase as separate items. Group 2 Single capped fluorescent - Lamps which comply with European Standards EN 61199 for safety and EN 60901 for performance. These lamps require separate electronic ballasts, usually provided in a suitable luminaire or with an adaptor as in the case of Class T.
