感悟初中英语教材我使用冀教版初中英语教材已有四年的时间,随着教学的不断深入,在教学实践中我越来越深刻地认识到:不研究教材的结构、编排目的、教学目标,新课程标准就难以实施;不研究教材、开发教材、大胆的删减教材以及适时地补充教材,就不利于真正地落实课程标准的要求,就不利于提高我们的教学质量。
一、教材分析本教材是河北教育出版社与加拿大国际交流中心合编的冀教版教材,该教材前四册每册书八个单元,后两册每册六个单元,每单元八课,明显的特点就是以中国学生李明和来自加拿大的Jenny,爱惹事,调皮的小恐龙Danny为主要人物,通过描写他们之间的趣事来选定每单元的subject并开展教学,体现了加拿大同龄人的学习生活情况。
该教材还特别注重对学生口语和语言的运用能力的培养,内容新颖、贴近生活、幽默诙谐,学生对此深感兴趣。
新教材之“新”不仅体现在它的内容上,更体现在它的功能上。
新教材不是让学生在头脑中复制教科书所呈现的一切,而是凭借它激活学生的思维。
但该教材的缺点也同样比较明显,比如阅读量小,课文知识点跳跃性强、subject描绘不完整,不透彻,语法不系统等。
二、如何理解新教材?拿到新教材之后,我和许多老师一样都曾产生过迷惑,面对貌似简简单单的教材,不知该如何教、到底该教给学生些什么?后来通过参加省、市、学校的英语教研活动,和一线老师们对教材、教法进行多方位的探讨,我反思到如果我们只是在一味的寻求一本适合老师教的教材,不更新教学观念,那是很不切合实际的。
于是我参照课程标准,认真研究了整套教材,我认为我们的教材还是很贴近新课标的,尤以九年级教材更突出,只是我们还不适应新的理念。

”终身教育和人的可持续性发展是当今教育的重大课题。
终身教育的基础需要在中小学的学习经历中奠定下来。
外语课应当成为奠定公民终身教育基础的一门核心课程。
二、以素质教育为宗旨,确定英语教学目的在教学目的中,突出了素质教育的思想,把学习兴趣、自信心、良好的学习习惯、自主学习的能力和有效的学习策略的培养放在了英语教学目的的首位。
把健全人格的形成作为教学目的的重要组成部分。
在注重学生掌握一定的语言基础知识和基本技能的同时,明确提出了建立初步的语感和获得初步的运用英语的能力,为真实交际打下基础;注重学生智力的开发和智能的培养;提出了解文化差异,培养爱国主义精神,增强世界意识,最终为学生的可持续发展打下良好的基础。
义务教育阶段英语课程的目的是:1.激发和培养学生的学习兴趣,帮助学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯,发展自主学习的能力,形成有效的学习策略;2.使学生掌握一定的语言基本知识和基本技能,建立初步的语感,获得初步运用英语的能力,为真实交际打下基础;3.开发智力,培养观察、记忆、思维、想象创造能力;4.了解文化差异,培养爱国主义精神,增强世界意识;5.使学生初步形成健全的人格,为学生的可持续发展打下良好的基础三、从语言应用的角度确定教学目标与要求重点对“二级目标与要求”进行了较大的调整。
从语言应用的角度强调对语言能力的培养,增加了对语言输入量的要求,并提出了具体的量化目标。
“一级目标与要求”:1)在听力方面对语速、语言材料和听的目的提出具体要求。
2)在说的方面提出了语境要求。
3)在读的方面对课文提出了预习要求,对课外阅读提出了选材、阅读速度和阅读目的的要求。
4)在写的方面对书写作了一定要求。
5)语音部分强调了拼读能力的培养,突出了对语调和节奏的要求。
6)词汇量较大,并要求学生能够在口笔头交流中运用。
7)语法部分从语言应用的角度强调了语法的功能作用,并对口头和笔头表达中语法的正确性提出了有区别的要求。
“二级目标与要求”作了如下的调整:1)听力方面,强调在听的过程中克服生词困难,理解大意,获取信息;提出了对泛听的最低量的要求(不低于40小时)。
2)提出口语能力要在情景活动中培养,重在实践。
3)明确提出了阅读的目的是为了获取信息,获得乐趣;强调了阅读的实用性,拓宽了阅读范围;提高了对阅读速度的要求。
提出了课外阅读量的最低要求。
4)从应用的角度对写的要求较高,提出能在语境提示下表达自己的观点。
5)语音部分强调了对拼读能力的培养和对语调、节奏的训练,对朗读提出连贯和流畅要求,对口头表达提出了语调、节奏自然,语音正确的实用性要求。
6词汇部分要求学生能够在口笔头交际中运用,认读词汇量为400个到500个左右。
7)语法部分要求较低,从语言的应用角度强调了语法的功能作用,对口头和笔头表达中语法的正确提出了有区别的要求,并且提出了对运用语篇知识获取和处理信息的能力的要求。
四、教学内容,各附表均有详细内容。
其中附表五“话题”,提供了16个与学生日常学习、生活密切相关的话题。
“话题”附表主要是为达到以下目的:1)体现语言应用的基本思路,为课程提供明确的内容范围,为学生的语言实践活动提供具体的内容要求;2)对教材的编写,特别是对任务型的教材编写提出具体的框架;3)使口语测试有了明确的范围,具有更大的可操作性;4)体现了大纲所规定教学内容的完整性和语言的交际性,有利于与《义务教育阶段英语课程标准》衔接五、教学中应该注意的几个问题如何全面推进素质教育,切实提高教学质量,关键的问题是不断更新教育教学观念。
大纲“教学中应该注意的几个问题”中,把“树立符合素质教育精神的英语教育教学观”放在首位。
概括地讲,包括如下几点:1.以学生的发展为宗旨,以培养学生的创新精神和实践能力为重点。
2.使学生获得适应学习化社会所需要的英语基础知识和基本技能。
3.对学生进行思想品德教育。
4.培养学生的思维能力。
5.发展学生用英语获取信息、处理信息的能力。
6.培养学生良好的英语学习心理素质和终身学习的能力。
7.帮助学生理解和尊重其他国家的文化,引导学生热爱和弘扬祖国文化。
8.发展学生健全的人格。
9.培养学生的合作精神和社会公德意识。
大纲的第二条突出了在学习过程中学生的主体地位,并强调发挥教师的指导作用。
主要体现在以下几点:1.始终体现学生的主体地位;2.激发兴趣,营造宽松、和谐的学习氛围;3.使学生敢于开口,乐于实践;4.鼓励进步,使学生树立自信心,获得成功感;5.策略纠错;6.尊重个体差异,指导和帮助有特殊需要的学生(不仅指差生,也包括优秀生);7.帮助学生探索恰当的学习方法,了解和掌握记忆的规律;8.培养自主学习能力。
第三条强调扩大语言的输入和实践性,切实培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力。
为有效地保证足够的语言输入量和大量的实践活动,对教师如何组织教学活动提出了相应的措施,同时要求教师在时间分配上要控制讲授的比例,一般不应超过课时的30%。
第四条提出了利用内容丰富的课外活动发展学生的学习兴趣,扩展语言实践的深度和广度,培养学生的学习能力和语言综合应用能力。
同时,提出课外活动不应加重学生的课业负担。
第五条强调要充分利用现代化教育技术辅助英语教学,努力开发教育资源,增加英语教学的开放性,为发展学生自主学习的能力创造条件。
试用修订版大纲有一个核心的思想,那就是培养学生的创新精神。
教师在教学中如何培养学生的创新精神,这在很大程度上取决于教师采取什么样的教学策略。
在这里,我们应当着重强调一下对学生自主学习能力的培养。
教师在课堂教学中,应当有效地调整学生的学习行为,引导学生把相当的注意力放在学会如何学习上,即英语教育界经常讲的Learn how to learn。
为了达到这个实际目的,教师应当把学习策略当作一项十分重要的课程目标项目,贯穿于教学全过程,学生应当从起始阶段就能够接受系统的学习技能的训练六、科学教学评价“教学评价”部分反映了语言教学研究中对教学评价研究的新观念;这也是一个理论上的飞跃,同时又是观念上的质变。
试用修订版大纲的“教学评价”充分体现了人文性、民主性、全面性、综合性、过程性、实践性和发展性的课程实施与课程评价原则。
1.规定评价的内容与目标应包括基础知识、基本技能和运用英语的能力;对学生在学习过程中所表现的情感、态度和学习策略,以及表现出的发展潜能等,进行全面综合性的评价。
将评价与语言教学目标统一起来,旨在反映学生语言能力的全面发展和素质要求。
2.提出形成性评价和综合性评价并重的原则,既关注结果,又关注过程。
形成性评价指的是在教学过程中对学生行为、学习能力、学习态度和参与过程等合作精神等进行持续性评价,是教学过程中的一个重要组成部分。
其评价方式可由教师对学生评价,也可以由学生实施交互评价或学生自我评价。
形成性评价有助于改变英语教学中一切围绕考试转、为考而教、以考试成绩作为衡量学生学习成绩的唯一标准的现象。
正确使用形成性评价,有益于树立学生的自信心,培养学生的学习能力,激发他们成功的欲望,形成继续学习进步的动力。
就当前的一线教学情况而言,形成性评价是一个薄弱环节。
教师对形成性评价的基本思路不甚了解,对形成性评价的多样性认识不足,对形成性评价的技术工具缺乏实际操作经验。
我们应当组织人力,开拓资源,加强培训,开展实验研究,采取综合治理的方式,逐步扭转在日常教学中以终结性评价为主的应试教育局面。
3.明确终结性评价(即期中、期末考试)应包括听力测试、笔试和口试。
听力测试在考试占所占比例应不少于20%。
听力测试的重要性已被越来越多的教师和学生所认识。
听力测试可以检测理解和获取信息的能力,但不应把脱离语境的单纯辨音题作为考试内容。
笔试既可测试语言知识,也可测试语言能力。
按照新大纲规定,笔试可增加具有语境的应用型试题,减少单纯语法知识题并降低语法题的难度;适当增加主观试题的比例,减少客观题,侧重对学生实际运用英语能力的考查。
口语测试是语言交际能力测试的重要手段,其突出的优点是可以直接通过“说”这一语言行为,了解受试者掌握英语的情况,从而有效地考查运用语言进行交际的能力。
通过听力测试、笔试和口试,可以更全面准确地评价学生。
总的来说,本大纲可操作性较强。
有利于中学生英语的学习。
