01I was so HONOR ed to be invited to be the inaugural Class Day Speaker. But obviously since I’m a graduate of the University of Chicago, I couldn’t just accept the invitation I had to overanalyze it.很荣幸能受邀来开放日作毕业典礼演讲。

”我不禁手舞足蹈，作为老师的自豪感爆棚。
就在这时，底下有一个女生直接质问我：你讲这些有什么用?考试能提分吗?你就是在浪费我们的时间。

这方面的例子是很多的，我不想具体列举。
我这里只想提醒大学，从今天起，你们就要调整自己的行为：对自己要求要严格，尽可能考虑别人的感受；对别人要宽容，尽可能看别人的优点、长处和好处；遇到矛盾的时候，尽可能在私下里协调，沟通解决，不要采取过激的行为。
对大家而言，通过私下里的协调沟通而化解矛盾和纷争，这本身就是一种能力的体现。
我特别要提醒大学的是：无论在校内还是校外，遇到了一些特别令人恼火的人和事，使自己特别愤怒，以至于即将伸出你的拳头的时候，请一定记住一句话：“退一步海阔天空，进一步万丈深渊”。
这句话，请大家切记，切记!第三，要学会学习，养成自觉学习、自主学习的习惯和能力。
之所以要提出这个问题，是因为与大家所熟悉的中小学阶段相比，大学学习有了巨大的变化，有许多中学阶段没有的特点，这些变化和特点至少有这么几个方面：首先，中学阶段的学习目标非常明确、具体－－为了上大学或上一个好大学，而进入大学以后，原来一直追求的硬目标实现了，下一步的学习目标究竟是什么，就有点模糊了，至少变得不那么具体明确，而是有点抽象了。
比如实现人生价值，或为进入社会、立足社会打基础，或者再提高一点：为国家、为社会做贡献等等。

Achieving such an amazing result gave me encouragement and courage necessary to continue my education to the next step.I am now in my second year of college and know that it is never too late to learn. 1. What College Education Means to Me
Good morning, everyone. The title of my speech is “What college education means to me”.
For me, college education is a marvelous ship-builder. With great vision, college education has equipped me, first with a powerful propeller -- the knowledge in certain field and wide exposure to other disciplines. By devoting myself to my courses in the day and immersing myself in the world literature at night, I’ve amassed the driving force for the future and enriched my soul.
Besides, college education has also provided me with a precise compass -- the sense of social responsibility. How can I best serve the public while achieving my
self-fulfillment? My one year’s experience as an English tutor has proved: to be valuable to society as well as to find my place, I have to possess some actual strength and the ability to function well in the most challenging situation. Amid the hectic schedule that balances club activities, sports, and academic courses, I feel the
rhythm and beauty in my life, knowing that I ’m on the right way.
And more importantly, college education has set up not only single ships, but also fleets with common destinations. By interacting with friends of common beliefs, I’ve acquired skills of relating to other people.
Now, as a ship about to make my maiden voyage, I’m still not in the position to tell what’s waiting ahead of me, but with a powerful propeller, a precise compass and ardent companions of sailing in the sea of society, I’m ready to be a great

大家早上好。
今天我演讲的题目是“大学教育对我的意义”。
对我来说，大学教育犹如一位技艺精湛的造船师。
首先，具有远见卓识的大学教育为我装配了一只马力强劲的推进器；专业知识及广博的课外知识给我带来无限动力。
白天我全神贯注地研习自己的课程，晚上则尽情享受世界文学，在此过程中，我既为未来积聚了力量，又充实了自己的灵魂。
此外，大学教育还为我提供了一个精确的罗盘，即社会责任感。
“如何才能
在实现自我价值的同时最大限度地服务于社会？”我一年的英语家教的经历证明：只有拥有过硬的实力和对高挑战性局面应付自如的能力，我才能成为一个对社会有价值的人，一个找到自己位置的人。
在协调着社团活动、体育运动和专业课程的忙碌日程中，我感受到了生活的韵律与美丽。
更为重要的是，大学教育不仅仅制造了一只只单个的船只，他还组建了一支支驶向同一目的地的大舰队。
在与志趣相投的朋友们的相处、融合中，我锻炼了与人交往的能力。
现在我即将作为一只巨轮开始我的首航，尽管前方的情况还无法预料，我却有充足的信心作一名出色的海洋探索者，因为我有强劲的推进器、精确的罗盘，还有一帮与我同行、一起驶向社会之洋的热心朋友！。
