Nowadays many youngsters prefer to go online in their spare time. Generally, its advantages can be seen as follows: first, through the Internet,

they can gain new knowledge and the latest news at home and abroad. Besides,

network offers them a convenient way to communicate with each other. The

Internet makes their life outside class colorful. But every coin has two sides.

The negative aspects are also apparent. One of the important disadvantages is

that some students prefer to play computer games instead of studying their

lessons. To make matters worse, there are some students who are often absent

from school for days. Through the above analysis, I think we should take

reasonably and do it according to the circumstances we are in. Only in this way,

This afternoon my school held an English-speaking contest in the multi-function classroom. The contest was named Challenging the FutureI was

present at the contest as an audience.

I learned a lot from their speech. They had different plans for the future.

But as they challenged the future, they had something in common,that is, they

all made full use of the present. The present is the base of the future.

After the contest, I knew I needed a plan for my future as well. I must

grasp my present time to realize my plan. I wont idle away the valuable time

any more. Im determined to study hard and improve myself. I will prepare to

challenge my future.

My clas iamates and I took a one-day sightseeing around our city.The scene was

pretty. But when we saw the rivers along our city, I felt very sorry, and thoughit a lot.

With the development of modern agriculture and industry, more and more

waste water is being poured into rivers. It has caused serious pollution. The

river is becoming so dirty that no living things can live in it. The river is giving off a terrible smell.

We make an urgent appeal that measures should be taken to cope with the

situation. Our government should start building various facilities such as sewage treatment!plant and encourage scientists to work out more and better ways

to reduce the pollution of water.

Water is tho source of our lives. It is very important to protect water.
