the truman show movie review楚门的世界电影观后感

The Truman show is one of my favorite movies. Truman in English means -- real people -- , very ironic name and the name of the leading role, I think it may be the director wanted to black humor to express the theme of the movie.

The names of the characters in the movie are very meaningful, for example, the TV show director s name Christof, the word comes from Greek and has the meaning of Creator.

And Christof relationship with trumen is Christ of / True man

Truman Burbank has been living on the Seahaven island for 30 years since he was born. Each day to him, is that happily.

But good things doesn’t last long. One day, some strange thing changes his whole life. He meets a man who just looks like his dead father . He decides to find out the truth. And the abnormal things just follow with him. He finds the other people, include his best friend and wife, seem to work together to conceal something.

Truman was born in front of a camera, all his life is a TV show.

The island is a huge studio, all the people on the island are actors of the TV show.

Truman decides to run away. But the TV show director doesn’t want him to make it. He makes a storm on the sea.

Truman overcomes the storm, at last, he find the exit of the studio. He starts his new life! And the TV show goes to its end.

This movie caused me a lot of philosophical thinking about the reality

And There are many lines in the movie worth to think about

At the very beginning Christof said While the world he inhabits is ,in some respects, counterfeit. There's nothing fake about Truman himself.

尽管这一切都是在演戏

过去的三十年对楚门来说这都是真实的生活

Even though it's all acting,but Truman is not acting The past 30 years have been real for Truman

We accept the reality of the world with which we're presented.

事实上我们无法证明自己生活在真实的世界里，我们只能通过我们所能感受到的事物去构造我们认为的真实世界

In fact, we can't prove that we live in the real world. We can only construct the world which we believe its real through what we can feel

we have always accepted the reality presented to us

Trumen said Maybe I'm being set up for something.Like your whole life has been building towards something.其实当我们面对命运，我们经常会有这样的感叹

In fact, when we face the fate, we often have such an exclamation,这就是我们在现实世界的感受

That's how we feel in the real world

I am very fond of the ending of the movie.

Trumen said his classic line In case I don't see ya', good afternoon, good evening and goodnight. Yes, he will probably never see them again. He chose to step out of the door to freedom , but also to cruel reality.This open ending has aroused a lot of imagination about what will hapend after he went out.

此前这句话是楚门跟邻居打招呼说的。意思是如果发生了什么事（意外），我们不能再见面，那么也祝你一直安好。

Before that, Truman said his classic line to his neighbors. It means that if something (an accident) happens and we can't meet again, then I wish you all the best.

然而，楚门的生活没有意外，只有精心的编排。

However, there is no accident in Truman's life, only elaborate arrangement.楚门的职业是保险销售员，保险就是为意外买单。

Truman's job is as an insurance salesman. Insurance is to pay for accidents. 这非常讽刺

It's very ironic

我给了Truman过正常生活的机会。而你所生活的世界，是一个病态的世界。

I have given Truman the chance to lead a normal life. The world, the place you live in, is the sick place.

在桃源岛里，所有人都不会去伤害楚门，楚门过得非常幸福。但离开后他将面对一个真实的世界，更残酷、可怕，人性也不像单纯。
