§.连词
1.As ...as 用法：第一个as为副词，第二个as为连词。

As+adj/ adv+ as; 否定为not as/ so...as. 若有twice, three times, half, a quarter等修饰，须置于第一个as前。

This film is as interesting as that one.这部电影和那部电影一样有趣。

Your pen writes as smoothly as mine.你的钢笔书写起来和我的一样流畅。

This dictionary is not as/so useful as you think.这本字典不如你想象的那样有用。

Your bag is twice as expensive as mine.你的袋子比我的贵一倍。

They are as often wrong as they are right.他们错对各半。

As ...as possible: Please answer my question as soon as possible.请尽快回答我的问题。

As ...as usual/before: She looks as pretty as before.她看起来和以前一样漂亮。

As far as: He walked as far as the railway station yesterday evening.一直散步到火车站。

As well( 也，还）：Come early, and bring your brother as well.早点来，把你的弟弟也带来。

As well as: She cooks as well as her mother does.她烧菜烧得跟她母亲一样好。

As /so long as (只要;长达）：So long as he is able,age is nothing.
I’ll never forget your kindness as long as I live.
It took us as long as 3 years to carry out the plan.
As to(关于，至于）：There is no doubt as to his honesty.
As much/ many as(多达，达到...之多）：He can earn as much as $5000 a month.
As a result, as a result of (由于...结果）：She died as a direct result of the accident.
So as to(so...as to):He is not so senseless as to do such a thing.
He studied hard so as to pass the exam.她努力学习以便通过考试（表示目的）。

As busy a a bee: 像蜜蜂一样忙碌
As deep as a well: 高深莫测，难以捉摸；狡猾
As soft as butter:很柔软；软心肠，没有骨气
2.as 引导时间状语从句：
as,when,while区别：用when 时，从句动作可与主句动作同时发生，也可先于主句动作发生；用while，从句动作为一过程，主句动作与从句动作同时进行或在从句动作过程中发生；用as，主句和从句的动作同时发生，具有延续的含义。

It was snowing when he arrived at the construction site. 他到达工地时，天正在下雪。

He was watching TV while his mother was cooking. 他母亲做饭时他在看电视。

You will grow wiser as you grow older. 你会随着年龄的增长而越来越聪明。

3.as 引导原因状语从句：
As,because,since 区别：because 语气最强；as 常放在句首，语气较弱，较口语化；since常用于书面语中，表示多为对方已知的或稍加分析便可知的，“既然”。

He will succeed because he is in earnest.他一定会成功，因为他很认真。

Since you are so sure of it he will believe you.既然你对此如此有把握，他会相信你的。

As rain has fallen, the air is coo;er.因为下过雨，空气比较清爽。

4.as 引导方式状语从句：
As,as...if /though; as...so(as 前可用just或exactly加强语气。

I did just as you told me)
When at Rome, do as Romans do.入乡随俗。

Always do to the others as you would be done by.你希望人家怎样待你，你就要怎样待人。

As water is to fish,so air is to man.我们离不开空气，犹如鱼儿离不开水。

Just as we sweep our rooms, so we should sweep backward ideas from our minds.
→as if /though(好像，仿佛):多用虚拟语气，表示与事实相反；有时也用陈述语气，表示石世火现实的可能性较大。

She loves the child as if/ though he were her own.她爱这个孩子如同爱自己的孩子。

It appears as if/ though it is going to clear up.看起来天要晴了。

It seems as if/ though he knew nothing about it.他好像对此事一无所知。

He stared at me as if seeing me for first time.
He cleared his throat as if to say something.
The waves dashed on the rocks as if in anger.波涛冲击着岩石，好像很愤怒。

5.as 引导让步状语从句：
Although 语气正式，可放在句首或句中，主句中不能再用but，但可用yet;as 语气较强，用倒装语序；however后面可跟形容词或副词，也要用倒装语序。

例如：
Although he is quite old, he still jogs every day. 他虽然年纪相当大，仍然每天慢跑。

Strange as it may seem, nobody was injured in the accident. 这次意外虽显得不可思议，却没有人受伤。

However hard he may try, he will not attain his goal. 无论他怎样努力也达不到目标。

§关系代词
1.as引导定语从句与其他连词连用
→The same ...as: This is the same book as I read last week.
→such ...as:
I don’t like such books as he recommends.
He wished to be such a man as Lei Feng was.
This is not such as I expect.(such 表示“这样的人/物）
→so+adj+a/an+n(单数）+as: I am not so strong a man as I was. 我已经没有从前那么强壮了。

2.as 引导定语从句：先行词是词、短语、句子：as is known to all, as is said/ reported/ announced, as we all know, as I expect
She is late, as is often the case.她迟到了，这是经常的事。

（先行词是整个主句）
To shut your eyes to facts, as many of you do, is foolish.对事实视而不见，你们都如此愚蠢。

（不定式短语）§介词：作为；以....身份
He came to China as a tourist 5 years ago.
§副词：一样地（to the same degree/amount;equally)
They don’t have as many airplanes.他们没有同样多的飞机。

注意：
As,than, but 都是关系代词，但是but和than在从句中只做主语。

You spent more money than was intended to be spent.
There are very few but admire his talents. 很少有人不承认他的才能。
