2013年广东高考英语作文参考答案
2013年广东高考英语作文参考答案第一节:基础写作:It is reported that thirty volunteers who are at least 18 years old will be chosen from the globe and sent to the Mars by the year of 2015. The volunteers must make a full preparation that there is almost no chance to return to the earth once they are immigrated to the Mars. What’s more, it is greatly important for them to try to keep a good relationship with other members. Experts strongly warned that the living conditions on the Mars are very hard, for not only the extremely cold climate, but also loneliness and fear. On the contrary , the volunteers insist that they have got tired of the life on the earth and they are eager to experience the unknown , mysterious life on the Mars; meanwhile, if they succeed , they will be heroes of human beings.第二节:读写任务From the passage , we know that the author mainly stressed the importance of small and ordinary work , such as cleaning the street because of their essentiality for the organization of the society ,and thinks those doing such jobs should be respected greatly. There is no denying/doubt that the cleaners are the most ordinary workers who are confronted with numerous hardships. On one hand, they must get up earlier every day to clean the street while we are still in the sweet sleeping dreams. On the other hand, they also suffer from less respect and lower pay , working all day on the street . It is the cleaners who sweep the floors or streets in spite of the chilly wind or the heavy rain.Nobody could imagine what a bad environment we would live in/I can’t imagine what our life would be like if there were no cleaners in the city. Undoubtedly, the streets would be full of disgusting rubbish with rats or flies here and there. What's worse, diseases would spread at a very quick speed without the cleaners’ hard work.It is not until then that people will realize tha t cleaners play an important role in our daily life. When it comes to the ordinary jobs, opinions vary from person to person. From my point of view, ordinary jobs are anything but ordinary in contemporary society. For one thing, these jobs contribute to the development of our society. For another, these jobs, which are worth our enthusiasm and respect, also provide a chance for us to realize our value or fulfill our dream. Only when every one of us is aware of the importance of these ordinary jobs can we build up a more harmonious and beautiful society.或From the above , I can safely draw the conclusion that even the smallest and the most ordinary jobsuch as cleaning the street is also the necessary part to keep the society going smoothly. Consequently, those who do the most insignificant jobs should get respect as much as those being engineers or teachers. As long as we have a correct attitude towards these ordinary jobs, we will find our life meaningful.。

To reduce the air pollution, the city of Kunming, following the example of Chongqing, required restaurants to use clean fuel to replace firewood.I am totally in favour of the measures taken by the Kunming government. Although we may lose a traditional way of cooking, we’ll get cleaner air. Anyway, a blue sky is far more important than a delicious dish/cuisine.Just like many places in China, there also exist the phenomena of air pollution in the place where I live. In the neighborhood, rubbish is burned directly before being classified and processed, which pollutes the air severely. On the roads, cars and trucks fill the roads, givingoff waste gas. In the chemical plants not far away, harmful gases are emitted without being dealt with.As middle school students, we should do our share in fighting against the air pollution. Firstly, we are supposed to go to school by bike or public transportation rather than by car. Besides, we can plant trees in and around the city as they absorb carbon dioxide from the air. Last but not least, we should arouse people's awareness of environmental protection and call on them to make a contribution to stopping the air pollution.。

Everyone in business has been told that success is all about attracting and retaining (留住) customers. It sounds simple and achievable. But, 1 , words of wisdom are soon forgotten. Once companies have attracted customers they often 2 the second half of the story. In the excitement of beating off the competition, negotiating prices, securing orders, and delivering the product, managers tend to become carried away. They forget what they regard as the boring side of business— 3 that the customer remains a customer.4 to concentrate on retaining as well as attracting customers costs business huge amounts of money annually. It has been estimated that the average company loses between 10 and 30 per cent of its customers every years. In constantly changing5 , this is not surprising. What is surprising is the fact that few companies have any idea how many customers they have lost. Only now are organizations beginning to wake up to those lost opportunities and calculate the 6 implications. Cutting down the number of customers a company loses can make a big 7 in its performance. Research in the US found that a five per cent decrease in the number of defecting (流失的) customers led to 8 increases of between 25 and 85 per cent. In the US, Domino’s Pizza estimates that a regular customer is worth more than $5,000 over ten years. A customer who receives a poor quality product or service on their first visit and 9 never returns, is losing the company thousands of dollars in 10 profits (more if you consider how many people they are likely to tell about their bad experience). The logic behind cultivating customer 11 is impossible to deny. “In practice most companies’marketing effort is focused on getting customers, with little attention paid to 12 them”, says Adrian Payne of Cornfield University’ School of Management. “Research suggests that there is a close relationship between retaining customers and making profits. 13 customers tend to buy more, are predictable and usually cost less to service than new customers. Furthermore, they tend to be less price 14 , and may provide free word-of-mouth advertising. Retaining customers also makes it 15 for competitors to enter a market or increase their share of a market. 1.A. in particular B. in reality C. at least D. first of all 2.A. emphasize B. doubt C. overlook D. believe 3.A. denyingB. ensuring C. arguing D. proving 4.A. BeliefⅡ 阅读(共两节,满分50分) AImagination and fantasy can play an important role in achieving the things we fear .Children know this very well. Fred Epstein ,in his book If I Make It to Five, tells a story he heard from one of friends about Tom, a four-year-old boy with a cancer in his back bone. He came through several operations and a lot of pain by mastering his imagination.Tom loved to pretend, and he particularly loved to play superheroes ,Dr Epstein explained that it was actually a brilliant way for his young mind to handle the terrifying and painful life he led.The day before his third trip to the operating room, Tom was terribly afraid. ”Maybe I could go as Superman ,”he whispered to his mom. Hearing this, the mother hesitated for a while. She had avoided buying the expensive costume(戏装),不痛finally she agreed. The next day Tom appeared as the powerful Superman, showing off through the hospital halls and coolly waving his hand to the people greeting him along the way. And Tom, with the strength of his fantasy, successfully made it through the operation. The power of imagination need not be reserved for children only. we all have the power to use our fantasies to attempt things we never thought possible, to go through those things that seem impossible, and to achieve what we never believed we could, Just as Dr. Epstein puts it ,”If you can dream it, you can do it”It doesn’t mean that you should dress as a superhero for you next job interview. But, next time you are texted in a way that seems impossible, imagine what it would take to overcome it .Become the person you need to become to win over your challenge and do it in your mind first. So,let your imagination run wild, and dare to dream.26.What do we know about Tom?A..He was seriously illB.He was a dishonest boy.C.He was crazy about magicD.He was Dr.Epstein’s patient27.What can be inferred about Tom’s mother?A..She was a rich ladyB.She refused Tom’s requestC.She wanted Tom to be a superheroD.She wanted to get Tom through the pain28.When Tom went for the third operation, he .A.pretended to be painfulB.acted like a superheroC.appeared in poor spiritsD.argued with his mother29.In the last paragraph, you are advised .A.to go through some difficult testsB.to wake up from your wild dreamsC.to become a powerful person in your mindD.to wear expensive clothes for job interviews30.What is the purpose of the passage?A.To tell us an interesting story.B.To help us make right decisions.C.To advise us to care about children.D.To encourage us to use our imagination.BSome people think that success is only for those with talent or those who grow up in the right family ,and others believe that success mostly comes down to luck. I’m not going to say luck, talent, and circumstances don’t come into play because they do .some people are born into the right family while others are born with great intelligence, and that’s just the reality of how life is .However, to succeed in life, one first needs to set a goal and then gradually make it more practical. And, in addition to that, in order to get really good at something, one needs to spend atleast 10,000 hours studying and practicing. To become great at certain things, it’ll require even more time ,time that most people won’t put in.This is a big reason why many successful people advise you to do something you love. If you don’t enjoy what you do ,it is going fo feel like unbearable pain and will likely make you quit well before you ever become good ai it.When you see people exhibiting some great skills or having achieved great success, you know that they have put in a huge part of their life to get there at a huge cost. It’s sometimes easy to think they got lucky or they were born with some rare talent, but thinking that way does you no good, and there’s a huge chance that you’re wrong anyway.Whatever you do ,if you want to become great at it, you need to work day in and day out, almost to the point of addiction, and over a long period of time. If you’re not willing to put in the time and work, don’t expect to receive any rewards.Consistent, hard work won’t guarantee you the level of success you may want, but it will guarantee that you will become really good at whatever it is you put all that work into.31. Paragraph 1 mainly talks about ________.A.the reasons for successB.the meaning of successC.the standards of successD.the importance of success32. In Paragraph 2,the underlined word that refers to ______.A.being good at somethingB.setting a practical goalC.putting in more timeD.succeeding in life33.Successful people suggest doing what one loves because ______.A.work makes one feel painB.one tends to enjoy his workC.one gives up his work easilyD.it takes a lot of time to succeed34.What can we infer from Paragraph 4?A.Successful people like to show their great skills.B.People sometimes succeed without luck or talent.C.People need to achieve success at the cost of life.D.It helps to think that luck or talent leads to success.35.What is the main theme of the passage?A.Having a goal is vital to success.B.Being good is different from being great.C.One cannot succeed without time and practice.D.Luck,talent and family help to achieve success.COne day, when I was working as a psychologist in England,an adolescent boy showed up in my office. It was David. He kept walking up and down restlessly, his face pale, and his hands shaking slightly. His head teacher had referred him to me. "This boy has lost his family," he wrote. "He is understandably very sad and refuses to talk to others, and I'm very worried about him. Can you help?”I looked at David and showed him to a chair. How could I help him? There are problems psychology doesn’t have the answer to, and which no words can describe. Sometimes the best thing one can do is to listen openly and sympatheticallyThe first two times we met, David didn't say a word. It seemed as if he enjoyed my company. But why did he never look at me?"Perhaps he simply needs someone to share his pain with," I thought. "Perhaps he senses that I respect his suffering. ”Some months later, when we were playing chess, he looked up at me suddenly."Ifs your turn," he said. After that day, David started talking. He got friends in school and joined a bicycle club. He wrote to me a few times. about his biking with some friends, and about his plan to get into university. Now he had really started to live his own life.Maybe I gave David something. But I also learned that one一without any words一can reach out to another person.

As a kid, I was a little fat. In college, I was less active, and I started blowing up. It got out of control when I went to law school. At the age of 30, I weighed 414 pounds. I was always tired. I have a family history of heart disease, and I was scared. I also wanted to look better. So a few weeks after my birthday, in the spring of 2006, I started to lose weight.Walking was all I could do at first. I started by walking to a subway stop a few blocks away instead of the one closest to my apartment. I gradually increased the distance. A year later, I started to run. That summer, I started formally training for the marathon. And on the morning of November 1, I stood on the Verrazano Bridge in Staten Island with more than 40,000 other runners, waiting for the event to start. 2013高考茂名一模英语参考答案Ⅲ写作(共两节,满分40分)第一节基础写作 (共1小题,满分15分)During this National Day holidays, free passage was given to cars on the highway for the first time ever, which caused a heated discussion nationwide. On the bright side, some believe that it is good to stimulate consumption and boost the third industry, such as tourism. To some extent, this policy also brings people closer, for those who were reluctant to visit their friends are totally seduced and willing to reunite by car. However, with cars flocking to the highways, others are concerned that the traffic flow will increase tremendously, resulting in worse traffic jam and higher accident rate than ever before. Personally, free passage is what the public have been longing for, but more following measures should be taken, for example, some contingency plans should be made to deal with the potential problems and more clear road signs are needed to give drivers precise guidance.第二节读写任务(共1小题,满分25分)When asked by the CCTV whether they were happy, most people gave a positive answer while some didn't. The Nobel Prize winner Mo Yan said he didn't know whether he was happy or not.At present, I am pretty happy because I am doing what I like and I like what I am doing. As a senior three student, I study hard every day and live it to the fullest. It feels good to study hard with my determined classmates to fulfill our dreams. When I recall the happy things which happened to me, the experience of my receiving the scholarship in middle school topped them all. It was a time when my family was going through the extreme financial difficulties. So I made up my mind to win the scholarship, hoping to lighten my parents' financial burden. After making tons of painstaking efforts, I succeeded. At the ceremony, I could see my mom was the most poorly-dressed woman, yet with the brightest smile on her face. It was the happiest thing ever happening to me that I will treasure for the rest of my life.As far as I am concerned, happiness lies in the effort of making those we love smile. When we bring happiness to them, it gives happiness to ourselves.2013年高考茂名二模英语参考答案Ⅲ写作(共两节,满分40分)基础写作 (共1小题,满分15分)I’ve learned that you are trying to lose weight and I am glad to give you some suggestions. On (the) one hand, you shouldn't eat too much fatty food or eat snacks before you sleep. His story shows that if one sets his mind to something, nothing is impossible. It reminds me of a similar experience. One day it was announced that there would be a rope-skipping competition in our class. On hearing the announcement, I felt nervous because I had never done rope skipping before. But my sister, who promised to teach me, persuaded me to have a try. At the beginning I found it hard to learn to skip because my feet always blocked the rope. However, I didn’t lose heart but changed my way of learning. Gradually I could skip faster and faster. Thanks to my sister’s help and my perseverance I took part in the competition confidently, in which I skipped 155 times and ranked fifth. So my dear friends, I strongly recommend that only with insistence can your dream eventually come true!。
