农村的教学设施简陋，学生素质较低，这让我们的英语教学遇到很大的困难，如何提高英语教学成绩我们的一些做法是：1、听和读：从初一开始，我就请求学生买磁带或是从研究机上下载相应的听力材料。
每天至少听15分钟，边听边跟读，这样大部分的单词基本上都市读了。
在初一第一学期，我就教了音标，一些学生能运用音标来读单词，不会读的跟磁带学，还有再不会的，我会让科代表在早自或是下午自的时候教读。
这样就能节约工夫，使课堂有更多的工夫进行情境交际了。
重要的句子对话请求学生能背。
还有就是值日生敷陈。
内容包括：天气，学生出勤，上一节课或近期所学的重要句子。
我是从七年级放学期开始进行，安排学生按位置进行，值日生把星期几和当天的天气情况写在黑板的角落里，并在上课时做值日生敷陈，这样能使每位学生都有机会发言，并且能迫使较差的学生去讯问、去准备。
有的成绩差的学生还把发言写在本子上，这种做法目的既磨炼了学生的胆量和培养学生启齿说英语的能力。
同时也磨炼了学生的写作能力。
到九年级卒业，学生已经能够表达很多的内容，口语能力也得到一定的提高。
2、记和写：由于在第一期我就教了音标，学生可以根据音标来记单词，这样记忆相对就轻松了些，还有就是多听写。
