Who Is He ?
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
(December 11, 1918 – August 3, 2008) was a Russian novelist, dramatist and historian. Through his writings he made the world aware of the Gulag, the Soviet Union's forced labor camp system — particularly The Gulag Archipelago and One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, his two best-known works. For these efforts Solzhenitsyn was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1970, and exiled from the Soviet Union in 1974. He returned to Russia in 1994.

(November 8, 1923 - June 20, 2005) was a Nobel Prize laureate in physics in 2000 for his invention of the integrated circuit in 1958 while working at Texas Instruments (TI). He is also the inventor of the handheld calculator and thermal ['θə:məl] printer热敏打 印机 .

Released in 1997, her first novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone gained immense popularity and commercial success. She was ranked by Forbes as the 48th most powerful celebrity of 2007.

She was an Albanian Roman Catholic nun who founded the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata (Calcutta), India in 1950. For over forty years she ministered (服侍) to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying. She won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her humanitarian work. She passed away on 5 Sept., 1997.
