Personal StatementMy name is Li. I graduated from United International College with a BA degree in(专业) in (毕业时间).I would like to apply for a MA program in Education in CUHK.Although I did not major in Education Science and I might not have the qualifications to be a teacher in the university, my experience as an assistant teacher in a primary school in the earthquake-hit area in Sichuan made me decide to be a teacher. In 2009, I participated in a two-week volunteer activity in Sichuan, which helped me understand the significance of education. As volunteers, we were to assist children with their study and play with them. The school is a backward and remote primary school in Shuimo town, Sichuan, and few teachers want to work there. When we arrived, the kids were very happy and gave us a warm welcome. We organized a study program, teaching them Chinese, Math and English. Due to poor teaching conditions and the lack of good teachers, the pupils did not do well in the subjects being taught, but they were quite eager to learn and most of them were hard-working. Through communicating with them, we found that they were still haunted by the disastrous tremor attacking the area a year before. The students were in great panic whenever there was an aftershock. The suffering of those lovely kids made me so sad that I tried my best to help them recover from the fear caused by the quake. Those two weeks passed quickly and we had to leave, though they wanted us to stay there longer. The eager eyes of those pupils would often shine in my mind after I returned to my school in a metropolitan city in southern China, as if they were saying, “we need you.” This made me reflect upon the meaning of my life. If I were a professional teacher and could help those kids in need grow healthily, how meaningful my life would be! But I know I have no systematic training in education science or experience in teaching. There is still a long way to go to realize my dream. After graduation, I worked in a kindergarten for half a year. This job gave me an opportunity to know more about myself and about what life meant to me. In the nursery school, I nursed and taught lots of kids, boys and girls, naughty or obedient. This experience made me realize that I love to be a teacher and that, perhaps more importantly, I have the qualities to be a teacher, for I have enough patience, passion and willingness to help. It also provides me a better understanding of the importance of education in our country’s development, especially in the far-off areas in western China which needs hundreds of thousands of qualified teachers. Wouldn’t it be a great thing in my life, if I were a teacher and can help those kids who have no chance to receive education to grow to be useful? Finally, the experience also made me realize that my knowledge on education is quite limited and that I should further improve myself by studying for a master degree in education. The following qualifications will enable me to do well in the prospective MA program in education that I am currently endeavoring to apply for. In the first place, to be an educator is my long-cherished dream. To realize this, I can overcome whatever difficulties. Secondly, I have great interest in education science. As the proverb goes, interest is the best teacher. I believe that I will do well in what I am really interested in doing. Thirdly, I had a good performance in the four-year study in United International College and was one of the top students in my class. Although I majored in(大学的专业),my training during this stage helped me develop effective modes ofthinking and research approaches. Fourthly, I have read many books on education in my spare time, which enables me to construct a solid groundwork for more advanced studies in this field. Last but not the least, my teaching experience mentioned earlier will play a positive role in facilitating my target program. The reasons why I intend to pursue my further studies in the field of general education in HKCU are as follows. Firstly, it is an internationally renowned university. The School of Education in this university is quite outstanding among its counterparts in the area. I am particularly attracted by the School’s excellent teaching staff, powerful resources on pedagogy, vigorous academic atmosphere and a comprehensive curriculum. Secondly, as a part of China which is greatly influenced by western cultures, Hong Kong is a great place to further improve my abilities in various aspects, acquire knowledge, expand my horizons, absorb foreign cultures, continue my interests and fulfill my dreams to be an educator. Thirdly, it is my conviction that, in your university, advanced educational theories, technologies and information will facilitate me immensely in the achievement of remarkable academic progress, fulfilling my aspiration to become an accomplished professional in the field of general education. This will not only bring my patriotic fervor into reality, but also make my life more meaningful and rewarding. For all the reasons, I strongly aspire to acquire a chance to study in your university where I could devote all my wisdom and enthusiasm to fulfilling my dream. It would be greatly appreciated if you could offer me a chance to realize my long-cherished dream.。

More and more people have realized that human capital, as a resource, has become more and more significant for creating social wealth. Based on a survey of the management of the world top 500 enterprises, researchers have suggested that in the 60s, enterprises focused on production; in the 70s, they shifted to marketing; in the 80s, they emphasized capital operation; while since the 90s, they have attached great importance to human resource management. This will inevitably result in more and more needs for Human Resource Management experts. Therefore, I hope I can become a professional in international business, particularly with insights from Human Resource Management, Economics and Finance, serving clients of all lines of work.As an undergraduate student in Beijing Forestry University of China, I have done sufficient preparations for my pending graduate studies in Human Resource Management. Majoring in Logistics and Marketing, the vigorous and various economic and financial program and relevant courses have allowed me to have a close touch upon Macro/micro-economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Business Management Theories, Accounting, ect, which armed me with a solid basis of fundamentals. However, with constant fervor for Human Resource Management, I didn’t confine my learning to a single academic discipline. I ventured further beyond my curriculum to learn different courses, for example, I exerted great efforts to study Fundamentals of Human Resource Management, Psychology and Sociology, , which I view as necessary building blocks for a successful HR professional in the age of globalization. Therefore, with my curiosity and clear recognition of Human Resource Management, I plan to pursue my graduate education at your program, where I can have a close contact with the renowned professors, and I believe, under their rounded guidance, I will finally realize my ultimate goal as a top-notched expert in Human Resource ManagementBusiness and corporations nowadays do not rely on professionals knowing only rigid numbers or outdated facts or materials which were obtained from textbooks, while they concern more about flexible utilization of knowledge in the real business world. Bearing this in mind, I actively took part in a wide range of internship. The valuable experiences in Mercers, Inc., benefit me most. As the largest US human resource consultancy firm with substantial presence here in China, I was very lucky to shoot the rare opportunity to practice under the guidance of one of the senior consultant in Beijing Branch. During that period of time, I have assisted leaders of the Human Capital Department for series of projects, such as Cummings Motor Company, ZTE Communications Company. These projects are mainly based on the priding proprietary intellectual property rights IPE (International Position Evaluation) and 3P (Position, Personality and Performance). What’s more, I took responsibilities of checking and analyzing data for 25 dealers in Beijing regions and writing 5 compensation reports and project summary. From the experience, I deeply recognized that learning of Human Resource Management in classroom couldn’t show me the full and real picture of reality, even though they did impart in me the central principle that human beings are not just particles of a giant machine in the organization. Human Resource Management in reality is very complicated, which covers a wide range ofaspects, for example, economic perspective, behavioral analysis, statistics and business accounting applications, and so on. Never before have I become so enlightened and clear of the essentials of Human Resource Management. As part of organizational management, it is necessary for me to understand other functions of the organization, such as marketing, production management, ISO, etc. Such great understanding, on one hand, proves my improved understanding of Human Resource Management; on the other hand, brings great pressure on me, and spurs me to explore more in this field since what I have grasped now is too limited. In order to balance my life, I also enthusiastically involved in colorful extracurricular activities. For example, I have been once the volunteer in Beijing Running Angel Foundation, raising money for the poor and disabled children. In addition, I have planned and organized many school activities, such as lectures of economic management, the 12th Capital University Student Green Activity “Green Bridge”. All these not only enriched my life, but also provided me a chance to truly experience how to take the fullest advantage of different members’ unique talents, how to cooperate with them, which are very crucial for my further career development. After careful review of your university, I feel my studies would best be suited there. With your advanced research facilities, world-class faculty, and strong academic atmosphere, I will become knowledgeable in terms of comparative analytical methods, interdisciplinary views toward human factors in workplace, and economic statistics for multi-national organizations. I believe I will reach out faster and easier to my ultimate career goal as a HR expert after studying at your university.。

Subjects such as English Language have taught me theimportance of choosing the right vocabulary in a piece of text and that the correct wording of a text can give it more meaning and powerful imagery.Extra-curricular activities such as being part of the leavers ball committee has helped me to develop skills such as team-work, people skills and the ability to work to a deadline.Currently I am a 4th Kyu Karate which I gained through dedication to the club, hard-work and determination. I have developed my confidence, respect, dedication, determination and leadership skills. I have also been able to develop these skills in my job. It has pushed me outside my comfort zone by making me work closely with new people and people that I would not work with if given the choice. Balancing my job, my Karate and my A-level work has been a challenge, however I have managed it by becoming a more organised person. The achievement that I am most proud of is having a poem published when I was 13. This gave me a sense of achievement and pride because it gave me confidence in my ability to be able to write something that other people want to read.As soon as I began my Media Studies and English Language courses I knew that I wanted to write for some medium of media. The feedback I received from my English Language coursework script reinforced my desire to become a scriptwriter. I enjoyed the time I spent writing and editing the script. 下面是给大家整理的个人陈述英文范文,供大家参阅!个人陈述英文范文:Management Personal StatementI would like to apply to do a Management degree. Having acted as Managing Director on a Young Enterprise Team whilst doing my ‘AS’ levels, I came up with innovative ideas that made a very successful company. Having held management positions within Human Resources, Operations, and Finance, I quickly realised that pursuing a management degree at university would be ideal for me.After my GCSE’s, I held a temporary job as a junior in an Insolvency practice, in order to gain work experience. Having to work to tight deadlines taught me how to work independently as part of a professional team. I learnt that in business, if one person lacks productivity, then everyone else can suffer, and also how to motivate others as a means of preventing such issues. I used the skills learnt to enhance myrole as the Managing Director of my young Enterprise company, particularly methods of motivation and delegation, and the significance of being accountable for others. Having spent nearly three years working part time in a Health food shop alongside my studies, I developed my communication skills, with both colleagues and customers, and proved to be a trustworthy employee.Being appointed as Deputy Head Boy in the sixth form was a great honour to me. My skills were greatly enhanced by holding this position, as I would often have to listen, and respond to issues brought up by fellow prefects, and students lower down the school. Through activities such as Lunch duty, I learnt the worth of different leadership skills, and that it is important to treat everyone as an individual in order to get results. I was always keen to stay into the evening to help out at school events.Socialising is very important to me, and I am always keen to meet new people. I enjoy tryingnew foods to increase my knowledge of different cultures, and my culinary skills will prove very useful in independent university life. I enjoy travelling, and learning about modern history. Having recently returned from Prague, I visited aconcentration camp. This was a moving experience for me, and something I will never forget. Music is one of my biggest hobbies, and I use music to help me unwind and reflect on things. I use the internet to keep up with current affairs and sports news.I have always been a keen sportsman, representing my school in many sporting activities. I enjoy running, particularly competing in sprint races, but also long distance running as a means of keeping fit. I always try to go for a run every evening, during breaks between my A Level studies. I represented my school as a keen member of the district and Maccabi Great Britain athletics teams, particularly in the relay. I formally played tennis and table tennis in national competitions, and more recently I have played in football, rugby, and cricket leagues outside of school.I believe that my experiences have prepared me for independent university life. My social skills together with my ambition to succeed in life prove me to be good candidate for a Management Degree.个人陈述英文范文:Personal StatementI have been greatly fascinated by chemistry since my first exposure to the Periodic T able of Elements. The natural orderof the first 12 elements, discovered approximately 450 years ago, made it possible for the elements to be placed on a chart consisting of rows and columns, such that elements sharing a column were discovered to have similar characteristics. This led Russian scientist Dmitry Mendeleyev to predict the existence of the element with the atomic number 32, germanium, as well as its colour, weight, density, and melting point. The predicted elements have since been discovered and I was greatly marvelled at this feat amongst many others. My interest in chemistry has been further stimulated as I have continued to learn more about the characteristics of the individual elements, the nature of their atoms, and how they form familiar chemical compounds that are particularly critical to the existence of life and the practice of medicine.Arriving at the decision to study Applied Chemistry took me quite some time. This was because I was determined to find out where my interests really lie as I excelled in most of my Science subjects. However, I knew that I love experimenting in Chemistry and also that it is one of my favourite subjects. I dutifully attended a number of career sessions and open days for science subjects at various universities, and the ones focussing on Chemistry left a lastingimpression on me. Also, I took time to visit one or two commercial chemistry-oriented laboratories in my area to talk with the chemists there. Their experiences have reinforced my love for the subject. They helped me to understand the wide variety of careers available for a graduate with a good knowledge of Chemistry, i.e. research, pharmaceuticals, and even environmental management. The prospect of a career in research and pharmaceuticals is of great interest to me. At this point, I was finally convinced that studies in Chemistry and a career in research in the same subject is what I wanted to pursue, this is largely due to my love for Chemistry as a science. My interest in Chemistry was consolidated by my work experience at ChangZhou University Chemistry Department. The more advanced Chemistry I wasexposed to – in textbooks, discussions and practical work ensured me that I would be interested in degree level Chemistry. My work mainly consisted of brominating an aromatic, which would produce an intermediate for stem-cell research. This taught me valuable practical skills, such as the use of Schlenk apparatus, column separation and rotary evaporation. Working with a research team made meparticularly attracted to courses offering an opportunity to take part in research. Using analytical machinery, such as NMR, on compounds that I had produced excitingly brought what had been theory in a textbook into practical reality. The desire for more of these moments is one of my main motivations for studying Chemistry. In addition, I regularly engage in further reading online, e.g. the Oxford pre-University Chemistry Course. This has expanded my interest in Chemistry syllabus.Nevertheless, I am acutely aware that, in the research fields I am interested in, there are still so many difficult subjects and challenges awaiting for solution. In physical chemistry, China is relatively backward in the fields of catalyst development, catalyst inactivation, reaction dynamics, reaction mechanism, geochemical reaction mechanism, environmental-chemical reaction mechanism. In analytical chemistry, China lags relatively behind its Western counterparts in areas such as instrumental analysis and theoretical analytical chemistry. Basically, China relies on import for large-scale analytical instruments. By contrast, the United States has many world-leading academic specialists and encourages interdisciplinary programs. It will accord me a stimulating and liberal academic environment, apart from thesophisticated research facilities. Rice University is my top priority in applying for a Ph.D. program and I choose to specialize in physical chemistry or in analytical chemistry. At Rice University, I plan to learn broader-based foundational theories in my chosen fields. With my solid interdisciplinary knowledge and my ability for the quick assimilation of new knowledge, I intend to secure for myself a RA status to directly start my laboratory research under the guidance of my future advisor. I can also work as TA so that I can study while teaching and conducting my internship. I can apply, test and consolidate the theoretical knowledge that I acquire in the process ofinternship and degree program. Finally, through theoretical study and scientific research, I would endeavor to produce a well-written dissertation in which I hope to achieve some breakthroughs on both the theoretical and the research level. After obtaining my Ph.D. degree, I intend to enter one of the top research institutes to delve deeper into some challenging subjects and to achieve some research fruits. After accumulating certain research experience at an actual research institute, I plan to return to China to work as a professor at aleading Chinese university, a position which will enable me to train many more academic professionals in physical or analytical chemistry. At the same time, I will also dedicate myself to turning my laboratory research results into yet more patents and inventions, which can further be developed into products with pragmatic applications. My passion for Chemistry stems from an appetite to understand the physical world around me, and I eagerly anticipate the enhancement of understanding that degree level Chemistry will bring.Signature:________________________Date:____________________________个人陈述英文范文:Personal StatementMy great curiosity about camera lens is rooted in a television interview when I was still a young girl. Hunan Television Station held a talent show called Super Girl Voice in 2004. I was a student in high school at that time, and I found the high audience rating brought huge viewers and the advertisers. It also made mass media to be a hot industry. I thought that was a potential job which would provide opportunities; prospects and material conditions for me to take off. Therefore I determined to choose masscommunication to be my major.I am very proud to study in Communication University of China Nanjing College, which is the tiptop communication and media institution of higher education in China. During my undergraduate study, I find myself has been strongly attached to this specific territory. Achieving 82 of the GPA proved that I am an excellent student in my class. I learned basic methodology and theories of Broadcasting and TV program Editor and mass communication. There is no doubt that practice makes perfect. For that reason I have applied for my professional internship as a TV editor in Yueyang Broadcasting & Television Co. Ltd, which is the largest and most authoritative media company in Yueyang. During that intern work I applied what I acknowledged at school to actual process of producing television program, which includes programme scheming, transcribe programme, editing and broadcasting.Writing scripts and shooting films with my classmates is also my favourite. During the creation process, we exchanged our ideas and discussed about the problems of scripts, performing and postproduction .It is benefit from my strong sense of team work. Being a member of theuniversity’s volleyball team instill the idea of ‘team work’ deep inside me. That is the very spirit which made my short film ‘timeline’, a cooperated film work, won the 3rd rate prize of ‘the 5th International Film Work Selection Practice’. No pain no gain!Emerging technologies is rapidly changing the media map. Internet, wireless communications and digital video technology are creating a new communications environment. Our world is becoming a earth village gradually which metioned by Canadian professor Marshall McLuhan first time in his in 1967. With the recent tendency of globalization, I wish to pursue my study in media communication. To find out how the methods and perspectives of media communication affect the ultimate communication effects and what global media can do to serve their social responsibility better under a globalization circumstances. The reason why I choose UK is because I am crazy about English TV drama Like ,, and so on.以上是整理所得,欢迎大家阅读和收藏。

i still pursue long distance running. in my spare time i explore and master the computer as i am conversant with a visual basic programming course. it is imperative for me to have the latest hardware and software and i make it a point to install everything myself. i also learn urdu as it is my native tongue and a link to my culture, to maintain that is crucial.living in a diverse international community of over 52 nationalities has allowed to me recognize and appreciatedifferent cultures. with the experience i have and the strong motivation to craft a bright future i feel i can justify my decision to pursue a career in accounting and finance or management.law personal statementi am a person keen on challenges. law will provide me with the kind of constant challenge i have always craved, while helping me to improve my analytical, practical & communication skills. also my concern and curiosity about society and its people inspired me to pursue this subject for my higher education, as i believe law plays an essential role in the changing nature of society.my upbringing has honed my perception of society and people leading me to be acutely aware of social injustice, inequality, exploitation, discrimination, and religious fundamentalism, especially in a society such as the one i come from - bangladesh. i possess a desire, to struggle if necessary through my life in establishing a society which will be free from exploitation and inequality. as such, i have chosen to study law, for i believe the proper implementation of law is the only potent weapon to obliterate injustice. i believe throughout the history of the world, working classes have been deceived by the upper class bourgeoisie and the elites - my ultimate goal in life is to establish the rights of the socially deprived classes. i always have wondered why law has not been used to raise the voice of the working class, and why it has been used to safeguard the interests of people who are exploiting. i seek a new definition of human rights – the true definition, without exploitation and corruption colouring the notion. my greatest wonder is why our society and the legalsystem, do not point out economic exploitation as an abuse of human rights; for it is the root of poverty, which elicits crime. if the creation of law is to curb injustice, why has it not been used to eradicate this injustice? taking law as a subject for higher education will hopefully help me find answers to my questions, and will teach me the proper method of implementation.i am someone who is passionate to evaluate problems. i am not an extremist but i do not hesitate to resort to radical measures if the situation forces it. i believe, in a society, co-operation is more desired than competition; competition doesn’t necessarily bring rapid prosperity. i adhere to a socialistic political ideology, and aim to devote myself in establishing true socialism. i am from a country, which has been subject to military dictatorship for over twenty years after her independence. my political consciousness grew during the time, when my father was imprisoned by the military just because he was a leader of a political party who opposed military regime. police and military jointly ran a brutal campaign throughout the country to repress politicians, where they imprisoned and sometimes killed thousands of students, politicians, professionals, workers, and even soldiers. these incidents severely affected my family, making my childhood a turbulent time. after the military regime failed, a western style democratic political structure was set up, which gave nothing, yet increased the discontent of the masses, and created some elites, who virtually control the country. wealth and power both are centralized to them, law is a puppet in their hand, and they control everything, from economy to politics. millions of people live below the poverty level, and there is nobody, not one strong and resilient political party to represent them. extreme form of capitalism has taken over ourcountry’s social and human values, and morality is at the brink of extinction. corruption is everywhere, human rights abuses are innumerable, political repression is paramount, money is power and power is everything. this indisciplined violent condition of my country created a rebellious nature within me that is why i have set my ambition to restructure the socio-political structure of my country in a radical way. i would like to utilize the knowledge i acquire from my life at university and beyond to clarify and show me the proper way of implementation of my thoughts.i have proved myself as an efficient and responsible student through primary and secondary school, i have been able to maintain and improve my grades, which are consistently good. currently i am undertaking a’ levels in history, government & politics, and bengali. being an ambitious and inquisitive person, even after completing a foundation programme with an overall a grade, i have chosen to do three a’ levels in one year to study in one of the top british universities. history has always fascinated me; though this is the first time i am studying this subject in detail. in government & politics, i am learning about the procedures of law making and the system of politics and government in different countries. languages have always been of interest to me, and my favoured loyalty is to my mother tongue - bengali.i have spent my time productively on extra curricular activities. i have keenly taken part in debating, student politics and acting in television dramas. i headed my school’s debating society for one year and independently achieved many prizes in speech competitions at local and national levels. my hobbies include reading, playing cricket and table tennis, web browsing, etc.the principal reason for my desire to study at uk is the quality of teaching here and particularly in my chosen subject, law. i also find exciting the prospect of joining a university hee with international flavours and exceptional research facilities. i believe university is a place for accumulating more interests, for meeting people, for working hard, for finding a niche in life. i feel i have the commitment and confidence of giving my best during my university career and afterwardshistory personal statementmy most important aim for the next few years is to further my studies of history. studying the subject at gcse and a level has extended my interest in social and european history, and how this relates to world history. the subject has enhanced my understanding and interest of current affairs and contemporary issues, which i enjoy following closely. as a student of history, i aim to extend my analytical and presentational skills. once given an area to study, i like to research independently, but also working with others. my time at sixth form college has enabled me to improve my reliability, punctuality and ability to work individually, while coping with the demands of exams and deadlines. the as levels i selected; english, geography, history and politics complemented each other well, enabling me to use the knowledge of one subject to develop my understanding of another. they have also extended my abilities in research, essay and report writing. my as results proved pleasing, after analysing my results, they have given me realistic targets for the year ahead.i have evaluated my progress of my first year in order to findweaknesses in exam and study technique and i am working on these for a hopefully successful outcome for the years ahead.in addition to my academic studies, i have achieved qualifications in first aid, and i feel confident to administer first aid in unlikely situations. over the past two years, i have helped with a youth holiday scheme connected with my church where i had responsibility for looking after and helping children. in my spare time, i enjoy reading non-fiction books, and travelling to see many parts of the country. my duke of edinburgh award scheme enabled me to deal effectively with decision making within a group.out of college, a part-time job at a newsagent, over the past two years has given me responsibilities such as dealing with customers, stock and large amounts of money, and also being organised and punctual. at my secondary school, i helped to set up a student council, as i felt that there were student issues that needed to be dealt with. other responsible positions i have held are both prefect, and fifth year representative at my previous school, and form representative on the student council at my present college. work experience at an estate agent in cambridge gave me good experience of working in a city and commuting, and also insight into an area of business. i hope to travel and work at an orphanage near to jakarta, which i have maintained links with, and also to new zealand. my career prospects are left open for now, but i do have interests in research and education.my main priority for now is to complete my a levels to the best of my ability and to go on to university, not just for the degree but for the entire experience it has to offer and i look forward to moving on, learning and meeting new people.。

英国留学生物技术专业个人陈述(PS)范文Biotechnology Personal Statement 生物技术个人陈述(PS)The progression of technology and the effects it has had on civilisation has always fascinated me, and generated within me a profound interest in the Sciences. More recently, I have begun to excel more in Biology than Chemistry or Physics, and this is where I wish to continue my studies. In my opinion, Biological Technologies are an important resource, and are fast becoming more important to industry and medicine, as fields like Bio-Materials and Genetics are developed. I believe that there are still many new and exciting discoveries waiting to be found, hidden within nature, and of beneficial use to humans and the environment. I want to be a part of the next discovery. It is possible that the roots of my fascination with science come from my first trip to the library. As dull and as eccentric as it may seem, the book that I chose in the five minutes before closing time was one on Fungus of the British Isles. After that, I read a lot of the Eyewitness Guides series, detailing the advances in technologies from the Stone Age to the present day. What I enjoy reading now, in magazines like New Scientist, and on other science websites, is how new innovations can be put to practical use to solve modern problems. For example, how genetic fingerprinting can be used for identification purposes, or how gene technology could be used to incorporate new characteristics into plants that enable themto grow in damaged salt farmland. Then there is the possibility that biomass, and other renewable biological fuels could be used to at least partially replace the fossil fuels that are beginning to run out, and have been damaging the environment for a long time. Lastly, I find it amazing how spider silk is stronger than steel cable, weight for weight, and that in countries like China, bamboo is strong enough to be used for scaffolding that we in the western world have to use steel for. In facts like this, I believe lies enormous potential. In nature and in society, where I believe just about everyone and every thing has a place and function, the possibilities are endless.I have only had two jobs to date. I have worked as lead waiter in a small restaurant, and now as a cinema employee. Other than skills of handling money, or responsibility to do a job properly, the most important lesson I think I have learned is the importance of teamwork. The thing I have learned is that every single person has different abilities, skills, tolerances, likes, and dislikes. The trick is seeing where they fit, like the pieces to a puzzle. After finishing my education, I have considered research as a career. It would be a nice dream to make a famous discovery and go down in history, but I have not made any plans set in concrete yet. I would rather consider all of my options before I go ahead, as glory will not put food on the table.Outside of my studies, I don't read books about fungi any more, but I socialise with friends and meet new people, I play computer games, use the internet, and apart from my science reading, I like to read novels - usually of the medieval and fantasy genre. I also have an interest in film, and working at a cinema, I am able to watch quite a lot of movies. The strangest of myinterests, is that I take medieval martial arts lessons with a group called The Exiles. They translate manuscripts from the 15th Century, and as a group we interpret what they mean, and learn how the techniques shown actually work. We work with different weapons, like long sword, dagger, and spear, but as the basis of the system stems from unarmed combat, there is a lot of body mechanics involved, and I have learned a lot about the dynamics of body movement. Even though fighting with medieval weapons might not be the most often used skill in today's world, it is an interesting experience nonetheless.。

PS 自我介绍 中英文
个人陈述Personal StatementMy concern over public health and health science began in 2003 when I was in primary school. Almost overnight, schools were closed, everybody was panic and my parents as doctor became extremely busy--all because of the SARS outbreak in China. The TV news broadcasting the epidemic progress did not appeal to me--I was simply terrified. At that time, two workers coming to our community for epidemiological investigation of suspected SARS cases vividly illustrated me what the SARS is and how to prevent it. That was the first time I had heard of the phrase "epidemiological investigation" and the first time I had ever known those unsung heroes in and out of the communities for public health. Those public health workers are as great and helpful as those doctors fighting in the forefront against SARS. Indeed, a doctor in a specific hospital has limited targets, while a public health worker can contact and help even more people by publicizing knowledge to prevent diseases. Years later, with the continued perfection of my thoughts, I have made up my mind to become a professional in the realm of health information system development and assessment, dedicating myself to help more people to build more reasonable lifestyles and health concepts.Four years of university study lay a solid foundation for my dream chasing. Considering the limited voluntary professional choices in university application, meanwhile the long ignored importance of physical exercise for health, I chose the health-related Physical Education major. During the undergraduate study, I took many health-related interdisciplinary courses combining medical science and public health. In addition, I actively participated those programs organized by my teachers, such as studying the effect of exercise on the elderly sarcopenia and Assessing the damage of sedentary behavior to the cardiorespiratory fitness. A lot of these programs used the study method of epidemiology, which gave me a preliminary sense of epidemiology. To study epidemiological method systematically, I took two public health professional classes -- biomedical statistics and clinical epidemiology, and finally I obtained even betterresult than many students in this major and gained the recognition of teachers. In my spare time, I applied for the college students' scientific research innovation project of Zhejiang province -- The impact and countermeasures of air pollution on elementary school students’physical activity. In recent years, the worsening haze has seriously affected the life quality of urban residents, so this project is of great practical significance to school administrators in need of scientific management measures. In order to get familiar with public health related application areas, I took an active part in professional internships and research projects during my spare time. From June to September in 2014, I worked as an intern in Tianjin Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (TJCDC). The work mainly involved in the live poultry marketssampling, sample delivery and environmental monitoring, hand-foot-mouth disease epidemiology survey, the data sorting of flu epidemic reportsin the first half of year 2014, the control and prevention training meetings of infectious diseases such as influenza and human-avian influenza, and the training data collection of Ebola hemorrhagic fever control and prevention meeting. I learned a lot from the internship about how to apply the epidemiological knowledge to the actual work of disease control and prevention and about those practical work methods, such as the epidemiological investigation, field sampling, sample delivery and training guidance to subordinate units, etc. Such practices not only exercised my practical work skills, but also promoted my understanding of epidemiology from theoretical knowledge to practical operation ability. In addition, I gained a whole new sense of infectious diseases prevention and control work. During the internship, I contacted several common infectious diseases in Tianjin area and participated in the training work of avian influenza and ebola hemorrhagic fever for the CDC and medical institutions of subordinate districts and counties. In the face of a growing epidemic, the work in CDC could be nervous and busy, which required us to constantly update our knowledge in order to overcome the upgrading diseases. The internship also showed me the job responsibilities, divisions and work contents of China CDC at various levels, especially in the provinces (municipalities) level. The staff in such work have to possess leadership and executive ability to get work done well. Thanks to my good performance in the internship, I had the privilege to be recommended to participate in the research project of Risk Factors for Acquisition of Measles Study. It was a cooperation project with university of Michigan funded by NIH (national institutes of health), which mainly adopted the case-control method to study the risk factors and antibody levels of family matches and healthy community crowd in measles infection. This study aimed at searching for measles infection risk factors, namely the individual characteristics (age, gender, level of education), contact living environment, measles contact history, and the relationship between immunization and measles infection risk. I took part in the field work to the neighborhood (village) committee for the control group survey. After visiting five village committees, I took charge of the data entry and data sorting work, which required to input data by Epidata to establish the database and analyze basic data by SPSS software. Data entry work needed to be precise, any data error might cause the wrong outcome. By carefully checking, I found out several data errors in the entry process, which enabled the teacher to contact respondents, verify information and correct the mistakes. In the data sorting work, I analyzed some basic demographic information using SPSS, including the sample statistics using descriptive statistical methods and the demographic differences between case group and control group using t test. Although these statistical methods were simple, that was my first time to use such massive real data for statistical analysis.Professional internship and research projects have greatly broadened my horizon and lead me to urgently pursue a further comprehensive development in the public healthfield. I am especially concerned over the chronic epidemiology. Modern medical technology has developed rapidly, but still there are a lot of diseases, especially chronic diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, cancer, obesity, etc., posing a great threat to human health. In addition to genetic and biological factors, these chronic diseases are largely influenced by social and psychological factors, especially exercise, diet, smoking, drinking and other lifestyles. To solve these problems, we need population-based interventions on health behavior and concept with the help of public health approaches. Although there are many high-quality, persuasive related researches studying westerners, the researches of East Asians (especially Chinese) are still insufficient. Because of cultural and ethnic differences, the conclusion of westerners cannot fully explain the Chinese health problems. Even though many Chinese scholars are also studying the Chinese ways of life and chronic diseases, a lot of methods are not standardized. These studies, often made by clinicians, are mainly case-control study which lack of high quality cohort study and RCT study. The good news is that in present China, awareness of disease has been gradually raised from the traditional biomedical model to biopsychosocial model, and people put forward higher requirements for their health -- not only pain-free, but positive physical and psychological state; Not only "disease cure", but "disease prevention". This trend gives public health research, especially epidemiology, more attention and wider range of practical significance. It convinced me that I will have a good career prospect after graduation, and there will be plenty of opportunities to achieve my dream. I would like to systematically study the epidemiological research methods in your university and grasp them through practice. Public health is still a rising field in China, while in the United States it has been well developed and highly respected. I am determined to become an outstanding professional in the development and evaluation of health information systems through overseas study, by contacting with the frontier researches and thoughts in this subject and developing excellent ability to flexibly apply different methods for different problems. My ambition is to build a comprehensive health information system using better resources and more rigorous methods to solve the Chinese health problems. I believe that caring human health can better benefit humankind than money, and the simple but overwhelmingly strong passion for health science leads me urgently to you to realize the dream of standing at the forefront of public health and become a brave, strong, independent woman.我对公共卫生及健康科学的关注始于2003年席卷全中国的SARS疫情。

交换生的英语个人陈述(PS)
交换生的英语个人陈述(PS)第一篇:交换生的英语个人陈述(PS)Personal StatementI am XXX, a second-year undergraduate student of College of Material and Chemical Engineering, XX University, China.I major in Materials Science and Engineering.I now sincerely apply for an opportunity to study a one-year undergraduate courseinthe University of Utah /USA /materials science and engineering. My strong interest in chemistry started in my high school years.I was then very proud of knowing more chemical experiments and phenomena than my companions.I even had my own in-house laboratory for small experiments.I have been fortunate to be able to participate in the study of two research topics—i.e.the research into anti-pollution-and-damage bio-materials in oceans(led by Associate Professor TANG Min of the Biological Engineering program)since April, 2011, and the project to extract semi-cellulose from coconut husk(led by Professor CHEN Yong of the Materials Science and Engineering program)since September, 2011.Though it is time-consuming, this hands-on experience has been a happy daily work for me, in which I combine my theory learning with real practice.I have found myself more skillful with hands, knowing more about variousexperiments and instruments.Apart from academic study, I also take part in various extracurricular activities. For instance, elected as the Director of Science and Technology forthe College Youth League on October, 2010, I am responsible for organizing all kinds of activitives in science and technology. At this post, I have developed different abilities and felt very happy.Althoughin the beginning I found it hard to coordinate people and get things organized, I gradually learned to classify my team members and assign tasks to them according to their characters.Through practice, I can now find the right man for the right task, for instance, the out-going for communication and coordination work, the assertive and innovative for preparing and designing work, and the people with foresight and attraction for making agenda and delegating. In the meantime, as a cadre of my college , I give a helping hand to my fellow students where I can when they meet with difficulties in study and other aspects. As a result, I have formed deep friendship with my classmates.Aside from the above, I am very interested in music, and I like to play the piano and clarinet in my spare time. After the one-year study in your university, I plan to come back to Hainan University to finish my last undergraduate year.Ibelieve that the rich teaching experience of your university and my own solid learning foundation will enable me to get well-prepared for my future postgraduate study.I am eager to contribution myself to the development of Materials Science of China.Thank you for considering my application.第二篇:金融会计专业PS个人陈述金融会计专业PS个人陈述(financial accounting)Since I was just a kid, I have shown a great admiration to those who carved out from scratch because I think that is the life I expected for with vigor and challenge. However, many of them failed at last mainly because of the financial accounting. It is very difficult for a company to change the resource into money without the professional financial management and an abundant financial professional know ledge. As the “batch product of the school”, I desire to become the “class A product” with abundantprofessional knowledge and good quality after two years study in the campus.Although I knew that the “investment risk” was ineluctable, I believe the future investment yield will be huge in the future. On the choice of investment project, I certainly chose my favorite accounting in he financial field and sincerely hope that the further study can presented me with a solid foundation and full preparations for the future work in the company financing.Cherishing this interest, I came into the University of International Business and Economics, where I learnt many subjects with the related English books such as “Theory and Application”(James L.Farrell, Jr.), “Investments”(ZviBodie), “Corporate Finance”(Ross)and “Options, futures, and other derivatives”(John Hull).Through years of study in college, I realized that the various economic actions of a company are just like the apparatus of a human body while the financial management works like the blood, which guarantees the normal working of the apparatus. Therefore, I became very interested in this field because of its importance in the society.【成绩好】Pocketing this hot enthusiasm and taking advantage of my insistent efforts, I got the high scores in many subjects such as the financial accounting, financial management and economics etc.which ranked me into the top line in our class.Furthermore, I enjoyed an excellent score both in mathematics and English, which provided me a solid foundation to the financial and accounting work in the future.Through my study, I realized that the finance and accounting are the comprehensive subjects, which embrace many related subjects like mathematics and English. Therefore, in order to get an embeddedunderstanding in this field, I must improve my comprehensive ability.【实践】Meanwhile, I knew that both thefinance and accounting are the practical subjects coming from the practice instead of the textbooks. So I never stopped applying what I have learnt into practice. Thanks to my insistent efforts and clinging spirit, I was fortunate to get the opportunity to practise in the Liaoning Sub-branch Bank of Bank of China with an aim at cognizing the main work of the bank accountants and the related business flows of the bank through the practical operations. However, it was very difficult for me to complete my practical study because the Electronic Interbank System was widely adopted in the modern banks.Facing this difficulty, I looked up many books and rel ated files such as “Accounting of Financial Corporation” and the magazine named “Study on the Liaoning Rural Finance”.In these books and magazines, I finally got the clear cognition of the difference between the bank accounting and the corporation accounting. However, they shared one essence with the same accounting factors, the basic preconditions and general principles. Therefore, I believe that the understanding of the work of the bank account is very helpful for my future work no matter what kind of accounting I get involved in because of the close associations between the corporations and bank.【称赞表扬】My sweats finally rewarded me with the high praise of my colleagues and the leaders of the bank and completed my practice perfectly and successfully. Therefore, I was known as the independent girl with strong ability, clinging spirit and creative ideas.Besides, I have participated in many academic activities like the Nobel Laureates Beijing Forum, in which I got the opportunity to contact withmany famous professors and experts in this field.【在美国学习】Meanwhile, through the study and practice these years, I realized that China is still far behind the advanced countries inthe world in this field. So I decided to further my study in the United States, the leading university in this field.Through my study there, I planned to make my own achievements in this field. After a careful consideration and deep attracted by your nutritious academic atmosphere and many famous teachers and professors, I finally chose your esteemed university to achieve my dream in the future. Therefore, I would be very appreciated with your consideration of my Personal Statement:1. Please describe your specific area of academic interest, and explain what motivated you tochoose this area.My special area of interest is analytical chemistry. I specialized in this subject at Chang’an University as an undergraduate, and I also wish to focus on this during my graduate studies. My fascination with analytical chemistry first stems from my early fondness for doing chemical experiments, which can invariably endow me with a rigorous mind and peaceful mindset. And when I managed to gain a good result or find out certain rules from a series of chemical experiments, I was often filled with a great sense of achievement. This has always motivated me to work harder and delve deeper into this field.I show great interest in analytical chemistry because it is closely connected with our daily life, which can be widely used in the detection of harmful substances in environmental and food industry, so as to ensure human health and food security. This is also where I wish to build upon a career. To further my study in this area and equip myself with advanced knowledge and skills will certainly bring me good job prospects, and fulfill my long-term aspiration of being a professional environmental inspector or food inspector in the future.2. Describe how your past education, professional and other experiences have prepared youto be successful in this graduate program.I am confident that my past academic experience and abundant working experience have wellprepared me for further education in analytical chemistry, and will make me a competitive for the program. The reason for my confidence is based on the fact that I have received a systematic training in chemistry during my school years. Actually, I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Analysis at Chang’an University in 2000, and a Master’s degree in Applied Chemistry at Southwest Petroleum Institute in 2003. As an undergraduate, I laid a certain theoretical foundation through such courses as organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and analytical chemistry as well as some relative experiment courses. Besides, via studying analysis of instrument, principal of separation technology, and technology of industrial analysis, I familiarized myself with titration, precipitation analysis, instrumental analysis, as well as bioluminescence. Majoring in Applied Chemistry as a graduate, I was exposed to more advanced chemistry courses, including polymer chemistry, physico-chemistry of surfactants, organic synthesis, and spectrum analysis, etc. More importantly, in the course of completing my Master thesis “Research and Application for the Selective Permeable Cement in Blocking the Water Layer”, I learned how to conduct a research project and accumulate some tentative research skills. All of these have given me great confidence to pursue further study.•Upon graduation in 2003, I have been working at Engineering and Technology Institute ofSouthwest Branch, SINOPEC, where my job is to provide fracturing fluid and acid system suitable for the stimulation operation of wells. In the past 14 years, I have involved myself in over 20 scientific research projects, and formed a series of fracturing fluid systems suitable for tight and reservoir, enriching the types of working fluids for stimulation. Most worthy of mention is that I played a leading role in the development of an environmental-friendly fracturing fluid system “Research on the Recycle and Utilization Technology of Fracturing Fluid”. Throughout the process, we developed a series of chemical additives, which can be used to remove the harmful ingredients from the fracturing fluid system and retain the useful ones only. This helps to realize the recycle of fracturing fluid system in southwest oil field, greatly reduce the emissions of effluents, and achieve good social benefits. What’s more, I have also participated in the engineering design of important wells for many times and tried to apply my scientific achievements in fracturing fluid into real practices, through which my problem-solving ability has been dramatically improved. Moreover, I invariably worked as a project leader, organizing team members to carry out technical breakthrough and further enhancing my teamwork skills. I firmly believe that my abundant practical experience and scientific research ability would be valuable assets for my future study and life.As you can see, I have been closely connected with the chemistry industry, having both studied and worked in the field. Thus, my academic background and professional experience will bode me well in my proposed study.3. Describe what you hope to achieve in this graduate program.I hope to achieve two goals in my proposed graduate study. On one hand, I look forward to learning the most cutting-edge theories, techniques and systematic analytical methods in the field of analytical/environmental chemistry, such as electrochemical analysis, chromatographic analysis and spectrum analysis, so as to lay a firm foundation for becoming a qualified inspector in the environmental or food industry. On the other hand, under the guidance of senior professors and by communicating with students from different countries, I wish to acquire a more international perspective and improve my abilities in innovation and problem-solving. With these valuable skills, I shall be able to develop new analysis and detection methods and contribute myself to the advancement of analytical techniques.4. Describe why this particular graduate program at University of Regina may help you fulfill your long term aspirations/objectives.I have set sight to an intellectual challenge: to prepare myself as an inspector in the environmental or food industry, and I sincerely hope that I can contribute to the environmental protection and food security in Canada. In order to achieve this, I need to master the theory behind analytical chemistry. After careful review of University of Regina, I feel my studies would best be suited there. Ranking top 10 in the comprehensive universities in Canada, University of Regina deeply attracts me with its world-class faculty and outstanding research facilities, including state-of-the-art classrooms, analysis laboratories and academic research centers. All of these are valuable resources that I can take advantage of during my graduate studies. In addition, at University of Regina, I may also have access to cooperative internships, which can not only lighten my economic burden to a large extent, but also enable me to accumulate important experience for future job seeking.Undoubtedly, the Masters’ program of Environmental Analytical Chemistry offered by University of Regina is an important extension of my previous study, and it is also where my true interest lies. Enrolling in this program will surely further broaden my understanding of my chosen field and update my skills, which are essential to the realization of my objectives.。

Personal StatementCompared to my peers, I was exposed to the mystery of computer very early. Before I began my study in the preliminary school, I was sent to a night school to attend a course about the computer. There I learned about the DOS system and 3.5 inch soft disk. When I began my first year in the middle school, my family bought the first computer- a 586(windows 98) for me and that’s when my interests in computer systems and software first started to grow. From that time on, I have always been fascinated by the mysterious nature of science, especially math and physics. Therefore after I finished my middle school, I chose a university which is very strong in science and engineering------ Zhejiang University. However, my marks didn’t allow me to choose my favorite major Electric Automation. Instead, I was designated to the college of foreign language studies, learning English. But I didn’t give up. I was able to keep my excellent performance in English study (being awarded as the Outstanding students in Academy, Morality and PE in 2004-2005) while taking a lot of other classes related to electrical and computer engineering such as Digital Circuit, Analog Ciucuit, Programming Language VB and C; Web designing software Frontpage and so on. I was really busting my ass off studying. I was so determined to show that I deserved better that I even lost lots of my hair which is caused by a slight nerve breakdown. But that didn’t stop me either.Meanwhile, I was also very active in non-academic areas. I won the Award of Merit in the 9th FLTRP Cup English Debating contest in 2004; I was chosen to represent our university to take part in the 2005 Shakespeare Festival (a stage opera contest) hosted by the Chinese University of Hong Kong; I won the second place in the Foreign Songs Singing Competition at our university in 2005; I joined the volunteer group in our college and did a lot of volunteer work during my first two years in college, including doing translation at the World Leisure EXPO hosted by the city of Hangzhou in 2006.After graduation, I stayed at the university, working for its EducationFoundation. By that time, I had never thought about going back to school, let alone taking on an engineering management career. However, thanks to this job, I was able to realize my weaknesses and rediscovered the motivation to pursue my dreams. As a secretary, my job at the university was to collect data, store and analyze it in order to keep track with the donors and find potential donors for the foundation. But as the development of foundations for Institutes of higher education are still at its early stages in china, we have no software support at all. My job was really hard for me because I could only rely on information from the internet and do all the analysis myself. Besides, I was also in charge of the website. When I was there, we were planning to build a new website and the task naturally falls onto me. I have to write down all our demands and communicate with the engineers from ICinfo Co.(a company specializes in designing websites) . To accomplish that, I learned HTML and CSS using the library and internet videos. Though the website now still has a lot of problems, this experience surely helped deepen my understanding of Web design and it also lit a fire in my heart. Suddenly, my passion about computer engineering roared back into my life.In today’s world, information has become the most important resou rce every country and every man competes for. The development of information technology has changed the world mightily and will definitely continue to be a huge factor in the foreseeable future. Put simply, it has totally changed the way people live their lives. Standing at the front of this tide is computer and network, their combined impact on today’s world is absolutely amazing. They have become the ultimate representation of information technology. That’s why I decided at that time that computer engineer is going to be my future career. It has got a bright future.I resigned my first job which in a lot of people’s eyes is a very promising and stable job and came to Xiamen University to take on the rising major---cloud computing. During my study here, I took library as my “dorm” and began to read books, a lot of books, and all original versions about the computer basics and programming languages like Java and Objective C. In my spare time, I helped at my teacher’s lab and took part in some small projects as well.Though I didn’t shoulder much responsibility because of my limited knowledge in programming, it’s still a very important experience for me. I learned a lot about how projects and designs are carried out. Individual skills are very important, so is teamwork. In order to complete your project, you need lots of other things besides skills, such as progress timetable, share of workload, short-term goals, long-term goals, definition of different roles, distribution of resources and so on. In today’s world, the gap between different disciplines is widening and thus the social division of labor. As the human activity of changing the world becomes more and more complex, the need for sustainable development heightens, and we begin to concentrate more on the reasonable distribution of resources as well as the improvement of working efficiencies. We need more cross-discipline talents than any time before because the era of hero has gone. No one can achieve big things without cooperating with others,Those years of working and coming back to school not only gave me a lot of knowledge, but also showed me that I am still not anywhere close to my goal. I want to become an expert in my area. That’s when I decided to go abroad to further my study. Why America? Because it is both the birth place of computer and a lot of great geniuses like Bill Gates whose contribution to the world and human kind are truly unprecedented. You can’t find a better place to learn about computer. That’s when I learned about the project about FIU. But through listening to recommendations by my tutor and those who’ve studied there, browsing FIU’s website about introduction of the available disciplines, I decided to choose engineering management(with CE as my sub-direction) as my major instead CE. Why? Because I believe this major is the best match with my comprehensive background of English, Electric Automation and Cloud computing. Only learning CE won’t allow me to fully take advantage of my background.I am very glad to know that FIU is one of the biggest public research universities in Florida and has a very strong faculty and a great learning atmosphere. It is very popular among Chinese students. The university locates at one of the most beautiful beach cities---Miami. The weather there is great,so is the transportation. That is definitely a plus for the university. Though FIU’s strongest majors are international business and hotel management, but as a comprehensive university, its engineering department is definitely not to be overlooked.Steve Jobs said in his Stanford speech that “you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something--your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever--because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well-worn path, and that will ma ke all the difference.” After years of study and work, I think I have finally found my connection of the dots. Whether it will make a big difference? I don’t know yet. But one thing that I am sure is I had the strong desire and never-say-die mindset to be an outstanding graduate student. I believe through my diligent work and persistent effort, I will become one of the best EM talents in the world. I look forward to the future!。

Personal StatementI am XXX, a second-year undergraduate student of College of Material and Chemical Engineering, XX University, China. I major in Materials Science and Engineering. I now sincerely apply for an opportunity to study a one-year undergraduate course in the University of Utah /USA /materials science and engineering. My strong interest in chemistry started in my high school years. I was then very proud of knowing more chemical experiments and phenomena than my companions. I even had my own in-house laboratory for small experiments.I have been fortunate to be able to participate in the study of two research topics—i.e. the research into anti-pollution-and-damage bio-materials in oceans (led by Associate Professor TANG Min of the Biological Engineeringprogram) since April, 2011, and the project to extract semi-cellulose from coconut husk (led by Professor CHEN Yong of the Materials Science and Engineering program) since September, 2011. Though it is time-consuming, this hands-on experience has been a happy daily work for me, in which I combine my theory learning with real practice. I have found myself more skillful with hands, knowing more about various experiments and instruments.Apart from academic study, I also take part in various extracurricular activities. For instance, elected as the Director of Science and Technology for the College Youth League on October, 2010, I am responsible for organizing all kinds of activitives in science and technology. At this post, I have developed different abilities and felt very happy. Although in the beginning I found it hard to coordinate people and get things organized, I gradually learned to classify my team members and assign tasks to them according to their characters. Through practice, I can now find the right man for the right task, for instance, the out-going for communication and coordination work, the assertive and innovative for preparing and designing work, and the people with foresight and attraction for making agenda and delegating. In the meantime, as a cadre of mycollege , I give a helping hand to my fellow students where I can when they meet with difficulties in study and other aspects. As a result, I have formed deep friendship with my classmates. Aside from the above, I am very interested in music, and I like to play the piano and clarinet in my spare time. After the one-year study in your university, I plan to come back to Hainan University to finish my last undergraduate year.
It is my conviction that the meaning of life does not dwell in the length of time that one can live or the material abundance that one can acquire, but in the richness and the wonderfulness of life itself. With the increase of my age, many things in my life have changed. But one thing remains constant, that is, I will consistently insist on doing what I like to do and hope that my endeavors can be valuable to the life of others. I see this as the only way whereby I can realize the value of my life.My undergraduate study focused on economics and I achieved remarkable scholastic performance in this field. My GPA is 3.44 (my GRE score is 2020 and TOEFL---- ). For four consecutive years of my undergraduate study, I received scholarships for my distinguished academic performance. Due to my equally prominent performance in extracurricular activities I was conferred on the Outstanding Student in Campus Activities. However, honestly speaking, my real interest lies not in economics, but in education. Ever since I was a primary school student, I had cherished a strong desire for a teaching career exemplified by my teachers. In the actual teaching career that I embarked on upon my graduating from university, I have become increasingly aware that the existing educational conditions in China are far from satisfactory. The backward teaching methodology and the prevailing pedagogical ideology have rendered Chinese education out of place with the moderninternational development in education. On the macro level, the current education theory and practice in China lag significantly behind advanced countries in the West. For instance, though education via the internet has achieved considerable development in past two years, in practical operation such education has more often than not deteriorated into an extended form of the conventional examination-oriented education instead of a really interactive process. In my personal experience, despite the fact that some of the problems that I have encountered in my teaching career can be solved by consulting relevant technical literature, I have found that the more serious flaws inherent in China's current educational system cannot be worked out easily. Under such circumstances, an advanced program in education becomes necessary. In this age of information, traditional education, both in its ideology and methodology, has met unprecedented challenge like many other aspects of human existence. Meanwhile, the pursuit for higher levels of educational development and of the quality of life has largely transformed the educational value orientation of the general public. The educational model that is centered around the cognitive and intellectual instruction has been seriously questioned. Greater attention has been devoted to the cultivation of well-developed personality and to the ontological status of the individual in education. Such issues as the internal studies of education science, scientific decision-making in education, and meta-education have also been increasingly emphasized upon. There have also been innovations in educational research methodology. The tendency has been to combine modern technology with humanistic research categories and with naturalistic research categories, and toorganically integrate qualitative descriptions with quantitative descriptions. It is also important to carry out educational experimentations in which educational predictions are complemented by educational feedbacks. Both the complexity of education and the complexity of human individuals have made the comprehensive application of diverse educational approaches necessary. Those new horizons are what fascinate me.In view of the following qualifications that I have acquired, I believe that I will acquit myself satisfactorily in the prospective Ph.D. program in education that I am currently endeavoring to apply for. First and foremost, as is often claimed, one's interest is one's best director. I believe that I will do well what I am really interested in doing. Secondly, though I majored in economics as an undergraduate, my trainings during that stage helped develop effective modes of thinking and research approaches. In addition, I conscientiously self-studied many works related to education, including A Developmental History of Educational Science in the West, which enabled me to construct a solid groundwork for more advanced studies in this field. Next, it can be safely asserted that education and economics are not entirely separated. For example, it is necessary to apply many statistical methods in educational psychology and my academic record indicates that statistics is the subject that I am most good at. Last but not the least, my current teaching career and my teaching experience will play a positive role in facilitating my target degree program. The reason why I apply for the University of ------------ is that it is the first state university with a time-honored history. The School of Education in this university is quite prominent among its counterparts in the field. I am particularly attracted by the School's powerful pedagogical resource, vibrant intellectualatmosphere and a comprehensive curriculum. I plan to apply for a degree program in Instructional Technology or Educational Psychology, both of which enjoy unparalleled academic reputation in the world. My application for Instructional Technology is motivated by my strong interest in the application of modern science and technology, especially the information technology represented by the Internet, in the field of education and in the nature of a series of revolutionary changes resulting thereof. Instructional Technology is a new discipline that has emerged as a result of the rapid development of modern communication technology since the late 20th century. It has tremendous potential for development and commercial application. As for my motive in selecting Educational Psychology as another possible area of specialization in my degree program, it is my long-cherished interest that primarily counts. On the other hand, all the accomplished educators since the 1960's have been well-versed in psychology. Almost every important new educational theory is derived psychological findings in one way or another so that educational psychology has subsequently developed into a fundamental subject for the science of education. The tendency in the 21st century is to emphasize on the micro research of educational activities and against this backdrop educational psychology will be attached greater importance. In Instructional Technology, I would like to focus on the following studies: how to improve educational efficiency by applying research results from natural sciences and engineering technology; how to explore the combination and coordination of pedagogical contents and to improve teaching methodology by exploiting the theoretical findings from psychology and educational science concerning the process of teaching andlearning. In Educational Psychology, I will concentrate on applied cognition and development, gifted and creative education, genetics and children development, personality structure and individual differences and other related subjects. For me, to shift from economics to education and to pursue an advanced degree in the United States is not so much a challenge as an opportunity. At present, major reforms are being introduced into virtually every important aspect of Chinese society. The field of education especially calls for comprehensive reforms. The United States occupies an absolutely leading position in the present-day world in education. It is my conviction that, in the United States, advanced educational theories, technologies and information will facilitate me immensely in the achievement of remarkable academic progress, fulfilling my aspiration to become an accomplished professional in the field of education. This will not only bring my patriotic fervor into reality but also make my life more meaningful and rewarding.。

Personal Statement
My name is 。
, I am an easy-going person and have a strong ability to accept new or strange things. I owe all this to my family, for the environment of my family is free and easy. I guess the good quality is related to the educational concept of my parents. The other reason is that they are busy in business, so I have so much time to do what I want to do in my young age.
With the time going on, I had to go to school. However, the atmosphere of the primary school and junior high school made me breathless. Their strict rules and requirements bound me every second until I went to my high school.
At the beginning of my high school life, I started to grapple with the program course. As for me, it was the free soil to avoid the boring exams and exercises. More fortunately, my program teacher Mr Cao is young man with advanced thought. As my program class was not a formal class in school . All our schoolmates in this class spent our spare time doing the program course. However, Cao’s opinion about study and career were different. For instant, He never told us how important the Gaokao was but how to develop our own interest to improve ourselves, helping ma a great deal even till now.
In my opinion, the experience in that period played a significant role in my teenage life. At least, I could feel that I had the different approach to the future, comparing with the peer group around me. With the time of playing program going by, it was time for me to choose my higher education. In fact, I could go to a better ranking college but I come to BNUZ. I have done my research and found that BNUZ is a school that has new educational ideas and good teaching ways. So I prefer BNUZ with more probability if I could not choose a famous university like Qinhua University. In these 2 years of study here, I have become more convinced that I am right. When coming to the choice of choosing a major , I chose business without hesitation. The reason is that I grow up in that atmosphere because my father is a businessman. I have learned the
language, so I contact with some Algorithms like back-track algorithm, I a sure it may help improve my comprehensive ability to study business major. I join in the 2+2 program, which gives me a good chance to study in the International Business Faculty. If I can , I am more likely to choose the major about risk management and
finance, for I am looking forward to working in a company or bank in the future.
I am a diligent and hard working student, at the same time I prefer practice, I am interested in the stock exchange and alert in the market. Besides, I often have good discussions with my classmates about the situation of the capital market. Furthermore, I have attended many societies organized by the Student Union, what impress me deeply is the experiences of working in the Public affairs, where I had to contact some companies to obtain the financial support for our activities.
I love traveling either on land or underwater in order to know more about different cultures and enrich my knowledge. I even got a diving certificate with great effort. I have the confidence that if I have the chance to have further study in the university of UK, I will be one of the best students.。
