1.because和because of辨析

because “由于，因为”，是连词，后接从句。如：She doesn't go to school because she is ill. The boy was always late because it took so long to get dressed.

从句都是句子

I can't do it now because I am busy.

because of

如：She doesn't go to school because of her illness. 名词性短语

2. lonely和alone的区别

alone为形容词，意为“单独的”，只作表语，不能作定语。侧重说明独自一人，没有助手或同伴，没有感情色彩的,表示客观的状态。

alone还可以作副词，意为“单独；独自”She went home alone. 她独自回家去了。

After his wife died, he lived alone. 他的妻子死后，他一个人生活。

lonely意为“孤独的”，表示主观上感到孤独、寂寞，有较浓的感情色彩，指因缺少朋友、同情、友谊等产生的一种悲伤和忧郁的感情，在句中作表语或定语。作定语时，意为“荒凉；偏僻”，多修饰表示地点的名词。

3.older和elder区别

elder/older 这两个词都是形容词old的比较级形式

区别在于: 1)elder“年长的”，常修饰人，表示出生顺序的前后和年龄的长幼，常作定语，

不可用于than引导的比较状语从句。The elder sister gave her little sister an apple.

2)older指“年纪较大的，较老的，较旧的”，修饰人或物都行。既可作定语，也可作表语，可用于than引导的比较状语从句。例如： The older man in the photo is my grandfather. We work in an older building. Your bag is older than mine.

eldest和oldest区别也是如此。

4.系动词

系动词亦称联系动词（Link Verb），作为系动词，它本身有词义，但不能单独用作谓语，后边必须跟表语（亦称补语），构成系表结构说明主语的状况、性质、特征等情况。一"be":is am are

5.形容词、副词的同级比较

大多数形容词有比较等级的变化，即原级、比较级和最高级，用来表示事物的等级差别，原形即形容词的原形。

形容词的同级比较结构：

（1）肯定句的句式结构：A+be+as+形容词原级+as+B 表示AB两者比较程度相同，即“A 和B一样……” Eg. This film is as interesting as that one.

（2）否定句的句式结构：A+be+not+as/so+形容词原级+as+B,表示A、B两者程度不同，即“A不如B那么……”Eg. Spring is not as/so cold as winter.

（3）表示倍数，如“一半/两倍/三倍……”相当于“half/twice/three times+as…as”

E.g. The room is twice as large as that one.

注意：those在做比较时，用于代替前面提到的可数名词复数，以避免重复，如：

The computers in our class are as good as those in Class 6.

如果代替单数名词或不可数名词，则用that：This film is as interesting as that one. Part Ⅲ Test
