三分钟英语演讲稿1 Never, Never Give Up We often hear people say, “Never give up.” These can be encouraging words and words of determination. A person who believes in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails. In my opinion, the quality of determination to succeed is an important one to have. Therefore, I believe that we should never give up. One reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. It is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again. Besides, if we always give up when we fail, we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people. Another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. If we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted. Finally, we should never give up because as we work to reach our goals, we develop confidence, and this confidence can help us succeed in other areas of our lives. If we never challenge ourselves, we will begin to doubt our abilities. In short, it is important that we do not give up when working for our goals. Whether we succeed in the end or not, we will learn something, and what we learn will help us to become better, more confident people. Furthermore, if we give up, we have non chance of attaining our goals, but if we keep trying, there is always a chance that we will succeed one day. Thank you ! 三分钟英语演讲稿2 Good afternoon everybody! Its my honor to speak here and I am very glad to share my topic with all of you. Today Id like to talk about “my dream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I have three. They are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country. I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. They are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! How do they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have. Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday I make the samewish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore. I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They do! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life as well. I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty of our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great! I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also. If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life. Thank you everyone for listening to my dreams. I thank you! 三分钟英语演讲稿3 first, i would like to say: to choose means to claim opportunities. i am a third-year english major. an important choice for me, of course, is what to do upon graduation. i can go to graduate school, at home or abroad. i can go to work as a teacher, a translator, a journalist, an editor and a diplomat. actually, the system of mutual selection has allowed me to approach almost every career opportunity in china. indeed, this is not going to be an easy choice. i would love to work in such big cities as beijing or shanghai or shenzhen. i would also love to return to my hometown, which is intimate, though slightly lagging in development. i would love to stay in the coastal area where life is exciting and fast-paced. i would also love to put down roots in central and western china, which is underdeveloped, but holds reat potential. all of these sound good. but they are only possibilities. to those of us who are bewildered at the abundance of opportunities, i would like to say: to choose means to accept challenge. to us young people, challenge often emerges in the form of competition. in the next century, competition will not only come from other college graduates, but also from people of all ages and of all origins. with increasing international exchanges, we have to face growing competition from the whole outside world. this is calling for a higher level of our personal development. fifteen years ago, the knowledge of a foreign language or of computer operation was considered merely an advantage. but today, with wider educational opportunities, this same knowledge has become essential to everyone. given this situation, even our smallest choices will require great wisdom and personal determination. as we gain more initiative in choice making, the consequence of each choice also becomes more important. as we gain more initiative in choice making, the consequence of each choice also becomes more important. nuclear power, for instance, may improve our quality of life. but it can also be used to damage the lives and possessions of millions. economic development has enriched our lives but brought with it serious harm to our air, water and health. to those of us who are blind to the consequences of their choices, i would like to say, to choose means to take responsibility. when we are making choices for ourselves, we cannot casually say: "its just my own business. " as policy makers of the next century, we cannot fail to see our responsibility to those who share the earth with us. the traditional chinese culture teaches us to study hard and work hard so as to honor our family. to me, however, this family is not just the five of us who quarreled over television programmes. rather, it is the whole of the human family. as i am making my choices, i will not forget the smile of my teacher when i correctly spelled out the word "china" for the first time, i will not forget the happy faces of the boys and girls we helped to send back to school in the mountains of jiangxi province. i will not forget the tearful eyes of women and children in bosnia, chechnya and somali, where millions are suffering from war, famine or poverty. all these people, known and unknown, make up our big human family. at different points, they came into my life and broaden my perspective. now as i am to make choices for myself, it is time to make efforts to improve their lives, because a world will benefit us all only if every one in it can lead a peacefandprosperous life.。

The road of history is not level and smooth all along. Sometimes the path will come to a dangerous and difficult place. It is only with the valiant and gallant spirit of the travelers that it can be passed through. The vast and mighty Yangtzi River, when it comes to an endless, broad plain, will flow ten thousand miles in a rapid current. But as it reaches a narrow valley with high ranges of mountains, cliffs and precipices on bothsides, which look dangerously steep, the river has to force its way through them in a winding, tortuous course. The same is the case with the developing course of a nation's history. The history of human race is like going on a journey. Some of the places the traveler passes through are smooth and level pianos, and others are dangerous and rugged paths. The experienced travelers, when they moved on to a broad, level road, will naturally walk along with a light heart, but while they are passing through a rugged place they will all the more be seized with curiosity, and in such an extremely fantastic and magnificent realm, will all the more feel a sort of pleasure in an adventure.历史的道路,不总是平坦的,有时会变得艰难险阻。

英文演讲稿(优秀4篇)
英文演讲稿(优秀4篇)经典英语演讲文章篇一Good morning, ladies and gentemen. This is Li Hua from Senior Three. I’m here today to share with you a good lesson from an overseas Chinese student living in Germany. It is a true story. After years of hard work, this Chinese student graduated with amazing academic achievements. Everyone thought he was going to get a good job easily and have a bright future. But to his disappointment, he was not even allowed the chance for an interview! The third time he was turned down, he couldn’t help telephoning the company to ask why they didn’t want him. The answer was simple, “We don’t hire dishonest people in Germany.”What was wrong you might wonder? The truth is, shortly aften he arrived in Germany, this clever student found that it was easy to skip buying subway tickets. So, to save money, he often went without a ticket. As a result, he had been caught without a ticket in the subway three times. From this story, we learn that we may get short-term benefits by dishonest means, but the truth will come out sooner or later and the cost is high. So remember: honest is the best policy. That’s all for my speech. Thank you!优秀的英语演讲稿篇二The judges dear colleagues:Everybody is good!I believe that not long ago the unit of organization training to everyone left a deep impression that are in high altitude timid to conquer yourself after the joy of encouragement and warm embracetogether to complete the project after the excited tears dribs and drabs are so vivid and real stayed in our memory forever.Flow through the sweat and tears we can understand the what? From the beginning my team is faced with many difficulties:older on average physical quality is bad the heart not neat team such as fragmented.。

英语演讲稿范文最新5篇英文发言稿格式篇一The name christmas is short for christmass。
a mass is a kind of church service. christmas is a religious festival. it is the day we celebrate as the birthday of jesus. there are special christmas services in christian churches all over the world. but many of the festivities of christmas do not have anything to do with religion. exchanging gifts and sending christmas cards are the modern ways of celebrating the christmas in the world.the birth of jesus had a story: in nazareth, a city of galilee. the virgin#39;s name was mary was betrothed to joseph. before they came together, she was found with child of the holy spirit. joseph her husband was minded to put her away secretly. while he thought about these things, gabriel, an angel of the lord appeared to him in a dream and told him did not be afraid to take mary as wife. and mary will bring forth a son, and he shall call his name, jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. Before jesus births, joseph and mary came to quirnius was governing syria. so all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. joseph also went up out of galilee, out of the city of nazareth, into judea, to the city of david, which is called bethlehem, because he was of the house and of the lineage of david, to be registered with mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. so it was that while they were there, the days were completed for her to bedelivered. and she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. and that, christmas is the feast of the nativity of jesus, is on 25th, december every year. but nobody know the actual birthday of jesus. and the christmas has become popular when christmas cards appeared in 1846 and the concept of a jolly santa claus was first made popular in nineteenth century。
2020ted演讲稿(4篇)
2020ted演讲稿(4篇)导读:本文是关于2020ted演讲稿(4篇),希望能帮助到您!when i was seven years old and my sister was just five years old, we were playing on top of a bunk bed. i was two years older than my sister at the time -- i mean, i'm two years older than her now -- but at the time it meant she had to do everything that i wanted to do, and i wanted to play war. so we were up on top of our bunk beds. and on one side of the bunk bed, i had put out all of my g.i. joe soldiers and weaponry. and on the other side were all my sister's my little ponies ready for a cavalry charge.there are differing accounts of what actually happened that afternoon, but since my sister is not here with us today, let me tell you the true story -- (laughter) -- which is my sister's a little bit on the clumsy side. somehow, without any help or push from her older brother at all, suddenly amy disappeared off of the top of the bunk bed and landed with this crash on the floor. now i nervously peered over the side of the bed to see what had befallen my fallen sister and saw that she had landed painfully on her hands and knees on all fours on the ground.i was nervous because my parents had charged me with making sure that my sister and i played as safely and as quietly as possible. and seeing as how i had accidentally broken amy's arm just one weekbefore ... (laughter) ... heroically pushing her out of the way of an oncoming imaginary sniper bullet, (laughter) for which i have yet to be thanked, i was trying as hard as i could -- she didn't even see it coming -- i was trying as hard as i could to be on my best behavior.and i saw my sister's face, this wail of pain and suffering and surprise threatening to erupt from her mouth and threatening to wake my parents from the long winter's nap for which they had settled. so i did the only thing my little frantic seven year-old brain could think to do to avert this tragedy. and if you have children, you've seen this hundreds of times before. i said, "amy, amy, wait. don't cry. don't cry. did you see how you landed? no human lands on all fours like that. amy, i think this means you're a unicorn."(laughter)now that was cheating, because there was nothing in the world my sister would want more than not to be amy the hurt five year-old little sister, but amy the special unicorn. of course, this was an option that was open to her brain at no point in the past. and you could see how my poor, manipulated sister faced conflict, as her little brain attempted to devote resources to feeling the pain and suffering and surprise she just experienced, or contemplating her new-found identity as a unicorn. and the latter won out. instead of crying, instead of ceasing our play, instead of waking my parents, with all the negative consequences that would have ensued for me,instead a smile spread across her face and she scrambled right back up onto the bunk bed with all the grace of a baby unicorn ... (laughter) ... with one broken leg.what we stumbled across at this tender age of just five and seven -- we had no idea at the time -- was something that was going be at the vanguard of a scientific revolution occurring two decades later in the way that we look at the human brain. what we had stumbled across is something called positive psychology, which is the reason that i'm here today and the reason that i wake up every morning.when i first started talking about this research outside of academia, out with companies and schools, the very first thing they said to never do is to start your talk with a graph. the very first thing i want to do is start my talk with a graph. this graph looks boring, but this graph is the reason i get excited and wake up every morning. and this graph doesn't even mean anything; it's fake data. what we found is --(laughter)if i got this data back studying you here in the room, i would be thrilled, because there's very clearly a trend that's going on there, and that means that i can get published, which is all that really matters. the fact that there's one weird red dot that's up above the curve, there's one weirdo in the room -- i know who you are, i saw you earlier -- that's no problem. that's no problem, as most of you know, because i can just delete that dot. i can deletethat dot because that's clearly a measurement error. and we know that's a measurement error because it's messing up my data.so one of the very first things we teach people in economics and statistics and business and psychology courses is how, in a statistically valid way, do we eliminate the weirdos. how do we eliminate the outliers so we can find the line of best fit? which is fantastic if i'm trying to find out how many advil the average person should be taking -- two. but if i'm interested in potential, if i'm interested in your potential, or for happiness or productivity or energy or creativity, what we're doing is we're creating the cult of the average with science.if i asked a question like, "how fast can a child learn how to read in a classroom?" scientists change the answer to "how fast does the average child learn how to read in that classroom?" and then we tailor the class right towards the average. now if you fall below the average on this curve, then psychologists get thrilled, because that means you're either depressed or you have a disorder, or hopefully both. we're hoping for both because our business model is, if you come into a therapy session with one problem, we want to make sure you leave knowing you have 10, so you keep coming back over and over again. we'll go back into your childhood if necessary, but eventually what we want to do is make you normal again. but normal is merely average.and what i posit and what positive psychology posits is that ifwe study what is merely average, we will remain merely average. then instead of deleting those positive outliers, what i intentionally do is come into a population like this one and say, why? why is it that some of you are so high above the curve in terms of your intellectual ability, athletic ability, musical ability, creativity, energy levels, your resiliency in the face of challenge, your sense of humor? whatever it is, instead of deleting you, what i want to do is study you. because maybe we can glean information -- not just how to move people up to the average, but how we can move the entire average up in our companies and schools worldwide.the reason this graph is important to me is, when i turn on the news, it seems like the majority of the information is not positive, in fact it's negative. most of it's about murder, corruption, diseases, natural disasters. and very quickly, my brain starts to think that's the accurate ratio of negative to positive in the world. what that's doing is creating something called the medical school syndrome -- which, if you know people who've been to medical school, during the first year of medical training, as you read through a list of all the symptoms and diseases that could happen, suddenly you realize you have all of them.i have a brother in-law named bobo -- which is a whole other story. bobo married amy the unicorn. bobo called me on the phone from yale medical school, and bobo said, "shawn, i have leprosy." (laughter) which, even at yale, is extraordinarily rare. but i had no idea howto console poor bobo because he had just gotten over an entire week of menopause.(laughter)see what we're finding is it's not necessarily the reality that shapes us, but the lens through which your brain views the world that shapes your reality. and if we can change the lens, not only can we change your happiness, we can change every single educational and business outcome at the same time.when i applied to harvard, i applied on a dare. i didn't expect to get in, and my family had no money for college. when i got a military scholarship two weeks later, they allowed me to go. suddenly, something that wasn't even a possibility became a reality. when i went there, i assumed everyone else would see it as a privilege as well, that they'd be excited to be there. even if you're in a classroom full of people smarter than you, you'd be happy just to be in that classroom, which is what i felt. but what i found there is, while some people experience that, when i graduated after my four years and then spent the next eight years living in the dorms with the students -- harvard asked me to; i wasn't that guy. (laughter) i was an officer of harvard to counsel students through the difficult four years. and what i found in my research and my teaching is that these students, no matter how happy they were with their original success of getting into the school, two weeks later their brains were focused, not on the privilege of being there, nor on their philosophy or theirphysics. their brain was focused on the competition, the workload, the hassles, the stresses, the complaints.when i first went in there, i walked into the freshmen dining hall, which is where my friends from waco, texas, which is where i grew up -- i know some of you have heard of it. when they'd come to visit me, they'd look around, they'd say, "this freshman dining hall looks like something out of hogwart's from the movie "harry potter," which it does. this is hogwart's from the movie "harry potter" and that's harvard. and when they see this, they say, "shawn, why do you waste your time studying happiness at harvard? seriously, what does a harvard student possibly have to be unhappy about?"embedded within that question is the key to understanding the science of happiness. because what that question assumes is that our external world is predictive of our happiness levels, when in reality, if i know everything about your external world, i can only predict 10 percent of your long-term happiness. 90 percent of your long-term happiness is predicted not by the external world, but by the way your brain processes the world. and if we change it, if we change our formula for happiness and success, what we can do is change the way that we can then affect reality. what we found is that only 25 percent of job successes are predicted by i.q. 75 percent of job successes are predicted by your optimism levels, your social support and your ability to see stress as a challenge instead of as a threat.i talked to a boarding school up in new england, probably themost prestigious boarding school, and they said, "we already know that. so every year, instead of just teaching our students, we also have a wellness week. and we're so excited. monday night we have the world's leading expert coming in to speak about adolescent depression. tuesday night it's school violence and bullying. wednesday night is eating disorders. thursday night is elicit drug use. and friday night we're trying to decide between risky sex or happiness." (laughter) i said, "that's most people's friday nights." (laughter) (applause) which i'm glad you liked, but they did not like that at all. silence on the phone. and into the silence, i said, "i'd be happy to speak at your school, but just so you know, that's not a wellness week, that's a sickness week. what you've done is you've outlined all the negative things that can happen, but not talked about the positive."the absence of disease is not health. here's how we get to health: we need to reverse the formula for happiness and success. in the last three years, i've traveled to 45 different countries, working with schools and companies in the midst of an economic downturn. and what i found is that most companies and schools follow a formula for success, which is this: if i work harder, i'll be more successful. and if i'm more successful, then i'll be happier. that undergirds most of our parenting styles, our managing styles, the way that we motivate our behavior.and the problem is it's scientifically broken and backwards for two reasons. first, every time your brain has a success, you justchanged the goalpost of what success looked like. you got good grades, now you have to get better grades, you got into a good school and after you get into a better school, you got a good job, now you have to get a better job, you hit your sales target, we're going to change your sales target. and if happiness is on the opposite side of success, your brain never gets there. what we've done is we've pushed happiness over the cognitive horizon as a society. and that's because we think we have to be successful, then we'll be happier.but the real problem is our brains work in the opposite order. if you can raise somebody's level of positivity in the present, then their brain experiences what we now call a happiness advantage, which is your brain at positive performs significantly better than it does at negative, neutral or stressed. your intelligence rises, your creativity rises, your energy levels rise. in fact, what we've found is that every single business outcome improves. your brain at positive is 31 percent more productive than your brain at negative, neutral or stressed. you're 37 percent better at sales. doctors are 19 percent faster, more accurate at coming up with the correct diagnosis when positive instead of negative, neutral or stressed. which means we can reverse the formula. if we can find a way of becoming positive in the present, then our brains work even more successfully as we're able to work harder, faster and more intelligently.what we need to be able to do is to reverse this formula so wecan start to see what our brains are actually capable of. because dopamine, which floods into your system when you're positive, has two functions. not only does it make you happier, it turns on all of the learning centers in your brain allowing you to adapt to the world in a different way.we've found that there are ways that you can train your brain to be able to become more positive. in just a two-minute span of time done for 21 days in a row, we can actually rewire your brain, allowing your brain to actually work more optimistically and more successfully. we've done these things in research now in every single company that i've worked with, getting them to write down three new things that they're grateful for for 21 days in a row, three new things each day. and at the end of that, their brain starts to retain a pattern of scanning the world, not for the negative, but for the positive first.journaling about one positive experience you've had over the past 24 hours allows your brain to relive it. exercise teaches your brain that your behavior matters. we find that meditation allows your brain to get over the cultural adhd that we've been creating by trying to do multiple tasks at once and allows our brains to focus on the task at hand. and finally, random acts of kindness are conscious acts of kindness. we get people, when they open up their inbox, to write one positive email praising or thanking somebody in their social support network.and by doing these activities and by training your brain justlike we train our bodies, what we've found is we can reverse the formula for happiness and success, and in doing so, not only create ripples of positivity, but create a real revolution.thank you very much.(applause)when i was nine years old i went off to summer camp for the first time. and my mother packed me a suitcase full of books, which to me seemed like a perfectly natural thing to do. because in my family, reading was the primary group activity. and this might sound antisocial to you, but for us it was really just a different way of being social. you have the animal warmth of your family sitting right next to you, but you are also free to go roaming around the adventureland inside your own mind. and i had this idea that camp was going to be just like this, but better. (laughter) i had a vision of 10 girls sitting in a cabin cozily reading books in their matching nightgowns.(laughter)camp was more like a keg party without any alcohol. and on the very first day our counselor gathered us all together and she taught us a cheer that she said we would be doing every day for the rest of the summer to instill camp spirit. and it went like this: "r-o-w-d-i-e, that's the way we spell rowdie. rowdie, rowdie, let's get rowdie." yeah. so i couldn't figure out for the life of me why we were supposed to be so rowdy, or why we had to spell this wordincorrectly. (laughter) but i recited a cheer. i recited a cheer along with everybody else. i did my best. and i just waited for the time that i could go off and read my books.but the first time that i took my book out of my suitcase, the coolest girl in the bunk came up to me and she asked me, "why are you being so mellow?" -- mellow, of course, being the exact opposite of r-o-w-d-i-e. and then the second time i tried it, the counselor came up to me with a concerned expression on her face and she repeated the point about camp spirit and said we should all work very hard to be outgoing.and so i put my books away, back in their suitcase, and i put them under my bed, and there they stayed for the rest of the summer. and i felt kind of guilty about this. i felt as if the books needed me somehow, and they were calling out to me and i was forsaking them. but i did forsake them and i didn't open that suitcase again until i was back home with my family at the end of the summer.now, i tell you this story about summer camp. i could have told you 50 others just like it -- all the times that i got the message that somehow my quiet and introverted style of being was not necessarily the right way to go, that i should be trying to pass as more of an extrovert. and i always sensed deep down that this was wrong and that introverts were pretty excellent just as they were. but for years i denied this intuition, and so i became a wall street lawyer, of all things, instead of the writer that i had always longedto be -- partly because i needed to prove to myself that i could be bold and assertive too. and i was always going off to crowded bars when i really would have preferred to just have a nice dinner with friends. and i made these self-negating choices so reflexively, that i wasn't even aware that i was making them.now this is what many introverts do, and it's our loss for sure, but it is also our colleagues' loss and our communities' loss. and at the risk of sounding grandiose, it is the world's loss. because when it comes to creativity and to leadership, we need introverts doing what they do best. a third to a half of the population are introverts -- a third to a half. so that's one out of every two or three people you know. so even if you're an extrovert yourself, i'm talking about your coworkers and your spouses and your children and the person sitting next to you right now -- all of them subject to this bias that is pretty deep and real in our society. we all internalize it from a very early age without even having a language for what we're doing.now to see the bias clearly you need to understand what introversion is. it's different from being shy. shyness is about fear of social judgment. introversion is more about, how do you respond to stimulation, including social stimulation. so extroverts really crave large amounts of stimulation, whereas introverts feel at their most alive and their most switched-on and their most capable when they're in quieter, more low-key environments. not all the time --these things aren't absolute -- but a lot of the time. so the key then to maximizing our talents is for us all to put ourselves in the zone of stimulation that is right for us.but now here's where the bias comes in. our most important institutions, our schools and our workplaces, they are designed mostly for extroverts and for extroverts' need for lots of stimulation. and also we have this belief system right now that i call the new groupthink, which holds that all creativity and all productivity comes from a very oddly gregarious place.so if you picture the typical classroom nowadays: when i was going to school, we sat in rows. we sat in rows of desks like this, and we did most of our work pretty autonomously. but nowadays, your typical classroom has pods of desks -- four or five or six or seven kids all facing each other. and kids are working in countless group assignments. even in subjects like math and creative writing, which you think would depend on solo flights of thought, kids are now expected to act as committee members. and for the kids who prefer to go off by themselves or just to work alone, those kids are seen as outliers often or, worse, as problem cases. and the vast majority of teachers reports believing that the ideal student is an extrovert as opposed to an introvert, even though introverts actually get better grades and are more knowledgeable, according to research. (laughter)okay, same thing is true in our workplaces. now, most of us workin open plan offices, without walls, where we are subject to the constant noise and gaze of our coworkers. and when it comes to leadership, introverts are routinely passed over for leadership positions, even though introverts tend to be very careful, much less likely to take outsize risks -- which is something we might all favor nowadays. and interesting research by adam grant at the wharton school has found that introverted leaders often deliver better outcomes than extroverts do, because when they are managing proactive employees, they're much more likely to let those employees run with their ideas, whereas an extrovert can, quite unwittingly, get so excited about things that they're putting their own stamp on things, and other people's ideas might not as easily then bubble up to the surface.now in fact, some of our transformative leaders in history have been introverts. i'll give you some examples. eleanor roosevelt, rosa parks, gandhi -- all these peopled described themselves as quiet and soft-spoken and even shy. and they all took the spotlight, even though every bone in their bodies was telling them not to. and this turns out to have a special power all its own, because people could feel that these leaders were at the helm, not because they enjoyed directing others and not out of the pleasure of being looked at; they were there because they had no choice, because they were driven to do what they thought was right.now i think at this point it's important for me to say that iactually love extroverts. i always like to say some of my best friends are extroverts, including my beloved husband. and we all fall at different points, of course, along the introvert/extrovert spectrum. even carl jung, the psychologist who first popularized these terms, said that there's no such thing as a pure introvert or a pure extrovert. he said that such a man would be in a lunatic asylum, if he existed at all. and some people fall smack in the middle of the introvert/extrovert spectrum, and we call these people ambiverts. and i often think that they have the best of all worlds. but many of us do recognize ourselves as one type or the other.and what i'm saying is that culturally we need a much better balance. we need more of a yin and yang between these two types. this is especially important when it comes to creativity and to productivity, because when psychologists look at the lives of the most creative people, what they find are people who are very good at exchanging ideas and advancing ideas, but who also have a serious streak of introversion in them.and this is because solitude is a crucial ingredient often to creativity. so darwin, he took long walks alone in the woods and emphatically turned down dinner party invitations. theodor geisel, better known as dr. seuss, he dreamed up many of his amazing creations in a lonely bell tower office that he had in the back of his house in la jolla, california. and he was actually afraid to meet the young children who read his books for fear that they were expecting himthis kind of jolly santa claus-like figure and would be disappointed with his more reserved persona. steve wozniak invented the first apple computer sitting alone in his cubical in hewlett-packard where he was working at the time. and he says that he never would have become such an expert in the first place had he not been too introverted to leave the house when he was growing up.now of course, this does not mean that we should all stop collaborating -- and case in point, is steve wozniak famously coming together with steve jobs to start apple computer -- but it does mean that solitude matters and that for some people it is the air that they breathe. and in fact, we have known for centuries about the transcendent power of solitude. it's only recently that we've strangely begun to forget it. if you look at most of the world's major religions, you will find seekers -- moses, jesus, buddha, muhammad -- seekers who are going off by themselves alone to the wilderness where they then have profound epiphanies and revelations that they then bring back to the rest of the community. so no wilderness, no revelations.this is no surprise though if you look at the insights of contemporary psychology. it turns out that we can't even be in a group of people without instinctively mirroring, mimicking their opinions. even about seemingly personal and visceral things like who you're attracted to, you will start aping the beliefs of the people around you without even realizing that that's what you're doing.and groups famously follow the opinions of the most dominant or charismatic person in the room, even though there's zero correlation between being the best talker and having the best ideas -- i mean zero. so ... (laughter) you might be following the person with the best ideas, but you might not. and do you really want to leave it up to chance? much better for everybody to go off by themselves, generate their own ideas freed from the distortions of group dynamics, and then come together as a team to talk them through in a well-managed environment and take it from there.now if all this is true, then why are we getting it so wrong? why are we setting up our schools this way and our workplaces? and why are we making these introverts feel so guilty about wanting to just go off by themselves some of the time? one answer lies deep in our cultural history. western societies, and in particular the u.s., have always favored the man of action over the man of contemplation and "man" of contemplation. but in america's early days, we lived in what historians call a culture of character, where we still, at that point, valued people for their inner selves and their moral rectitude. and if you look at the self-help books from this era, they all had titles with things like "character, the grandest thing in the world." and they featured role models like abraham lincoln who was praised for being modest and unassuming. ralph waldo emerson called him "a man who does not offend by superiority."but then we hit the 20th century and we entered a new culturethat historians call the culture of personality. what happened is we had evolved an agricultural economy to a world of big business. and so suddenly people are moving from small towns to the cities. and instead of working alongside people they've known all their lives, now they are having to prove themselves in a crowd of strangers. so, quite understandably, qualities like magnetism and charisma suddenly come to seem really important. and sure enough, the self-help books change to meet these new needs and they start to have names like "how to win friends and influence people." and they feature as their role models really great salesmen. so that's the world we're living in today. that's our cultural inheritance.now none of this is to say that social skills are unimportant, and i'm also not calling for the abolishing of teamwork at all. the same religions who send their sages off to lonely mountain tops also teach us love and trust. and the problems that we are facing today in fields like science and in economics are so vast and so complex that we are going to need armies of people coming together to solve them working together. but i am saying that the more freedom that we give introverts to be themselves, the more likely that they are to come up with their own unique solutions to these problems.so now i'd like to share with you what's in my suitcase today. guess what? books. i have a suitcase full of books. here's margaret atwood, "cat's eye." here's a novel by milan kundera. and here's "the guide for the perplexed" by maimonides. but these are not exactly。

初中生英语口语比赛演讲稿篇1Chinahas a very long and brilliant history, whose people are so friendly and hospitable. But I am wondering why some people pay such little attention to the environment and nature. In many places of the countryside, rivers have become stinking sewers and brooks have disappeared. Heaps of garbage obstructs the scarce flow of dirty water. The grounds are littered with plastic bottles and bags. People are cutting down trees even though it is illegal. In some towns, rubbish is hidden behind walls. Garbage cans are often of little use, making cleaners must rush all day long and also by night to clean the rubbish. This lack of consideration for nature in general is extremely detrimental to childrens education, toChinas image, to public health, to tourism and to the future.Chinais the common treasure of all Chinese, and we should live up to be a member of this big family, a descendant of 5000-year-plus ancient civilized country.I think the environment must absolutely be strictly protected by all means. This protection should go at the same pace as the marvelous development of the nation. In this respect,Germanyis a rare model and leaves me a very deep impression. After you have an exciting tour around in this country for a week or so, it is unnecessary for you to polish your leather shoes. Personally, first of all, the strong awareness of peoples environmental protection; then, the advanced technology applied in the field of preserving the nature; We can learn form others in building China into one of the most environmentally friendly places in the world.初中生英语口语比赛演讲稿篇2Good morning, Everyone!I will talk about sports. I am an active boy. I like many kinds of sports, such as walking, skating, climbing, cycling and skipping. Doing sports gives me a good health and brings me a lot of fun. Now, I will tell you about my cycling sport. I often ride my bicyclewhen I am free. I like to ride my bicycle on a road near my house. It is an empty road. There are no cars and few people walking on the road. It is about four kilometers long. It has several long slopes. So it is very good for cycling. When I ride down the slopes, the bicycle runs very fast, and I feel I am flying. Thats a very good feeling for me. When I ride up the slopes, it is very difficult, but it is a good training for me. I always try my best to ride up as long as possible. Cycling there gives me lots of fun.Everyone can get ill, but doing sports is a good doctor. I know an English saying "Exercise one hour a day, keep illness away." My own story has proved it. I once had an illness. I had to go to see the doctors and take medicines very often. After doing sports for several years, I have recovered now.Doing sports gives me a strong body and brings me lots of fun. So if you want to be strong, please do sports; if you want to enjoy a happy life, please do sports, too.Thank you!初中生英语口语比赛演讲稿篇3hello everyone,My name is Duan Jiayu, English name is Daisy, seven years old this year, first grade in Daxing.I am very pleased to attend the "star of hope" English contest. My hobby is climbing and hiking, when I was only two years old, mygrandma took me to climb the Longevity Hill of the summer palace, longevity hill has 60 meters, I climbed the mountain with hands and feet, clothes and pants stained with dirt, just like a soil monkey. At that time, our slogan was: "longevity hill training, Fragrant hills challenge!"At the age of five, my grandmother and I climbed the Fragrant Hills, the top of the hill has almost 600 meters, we had reached the top of the hill in one hour, this year my grandmother and I will climb the Fragrant Hills every weekend, higher challenge to Taishan!Thank you, very mach!初中生英语口语比赛演讲稿篇4My favorite Animal-Black Faced SpoonbillGood afternoon, dear judges. Today my speech is "I loveblack-faced spoonbill. On a beautiful winter day, I happened to meet the lovely spirit---- Black Faced Spoonbill, a type of migratory bird, which spends winter at Hong-Shu-Lin in my city every year. Covered withsnow-white feathers, it has black legs and a black beak. Besides the blacks and whites, an amazing splash of yellow is under its neck. So elegant that I couldnt help loving it at first sight. With a big and spoon-shaped beak, it can clasp fishes easily, whichmakes it a powerful hunter in birds. However, with human expansion and pollution, only around 2000 ones are living all over the world.Like the eleven swan princes in Andersens Fairy Tale, the Black Faced Spoonbills have always been struggling to find a tiny rock which can offer them a momentary tranquility. Fortunately, they have found one in my beloved home. I would always hold them dearly to my heart and wish they would return with flocks of chicks in the following years, and singing...Oh, I have a home, such a beautiful home, where I play and rest happily.Oh, give them a home, such a wonderful home, where the spoonbills play all day.初中生英语口语比赛演讲稿篇5Never, Never Give UpWe often hear people say, "Never give up." These can be encouraging words and words of determination. A person who believes in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails. In my opinion, the quality of determination to succeed is an important one to have. Therefore, I believe that we should never give up.One reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieveanything. 英语演讲稿带翻译4篇英语演讲稿带翻译范文一:我们是世界,我们是未来演讲稿We Are The World,We Are The FutureSomeone said“we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”.I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be.We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all,we harvest nothing at all.We are young.“How to spend the youth?”It is a meaningful question. To answer it,first I have to ask“what do you understand by the word youth?”Youth is not a time of life,it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.A poet said“To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour.Several days ago,I had a chance to listen to a lecture.I learnt a lot there.I’d like to share it with all of you.Let’s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is.I have a short line of life. What about yours?I wondered whether we could see our future in this way.Well, let’s make a fist.Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life?Tell me.Yeah,it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves. We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself.Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past,we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. We’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it.Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it,it does mean you should do it in a different way.Failure doesn’t mean you should give up,it does mean you must try harder. As what I said at the beginning,“we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”.The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it.But the future is in front of us.Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us.And from today on,let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out“We are the world, we are the future.”世界是我们的,未来是我们的一些人说“我们正在读一本无穷的书中的第一章的第一节。

祖国在我心中英语演讲稿范文(精选4篇)祖国在我心中英语演讲稿1Respect teacher, dear students:Everybody is good, the title of my speech today is "the motherland in my heart".Everybody saw, heard of it: the grand and spectacular Great Wall, the majestic waterfalls, it has a long history of silk road, the singular of huangshan, the level of guilin landscape, such as static. 60 years, our country has changed so much: in 1949, the founding of new China, Chinas humiliation in this moment forever over, no longer have the smoke from foreign aggression, but since then we have the rise of the Chinese people. From "liberation" car to the successful launch, "east is red" from the atomic bomb, the bomb explosion success and the shenzhou vi manned spacecraft launch, again is to host the Olympic Games in Beijing in , which is not of the peoples work achievement? Im so proud of I was born in China! But before the establishment of China, there have been many disgrace. Our homeland some loan forcefully by the foreign powers, some by extortion, and scattered them down. In 1840, the British launched the opium war to China, Chinas defeat was forced to sign the "nanjing treaty" of the country of Hong Kong and Macao are powers to seize, mother suffering and humiliation. 1925 patriotic poems written a group of big men wen yiduo song of "seven scholars", is to see foreign powers with personification gimmick of seven lost ground, macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, WeiHaiWei,guangzhou bay, Kowloon, dalian and lushun, compared to seven children from its mothers arms. When and where the motherland, I will not forget you, I will good good study, day day up, the discipline of logistics, the innovation of civilization, to be in the future, do the backbone of the society.Ah! My motherland, you always in my heart!祖国在我心中英语演讲稿2Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, I’m very glad to make a speech here. Today my topic is “I love you, China.”Since the day I was born, I began to have a proud name—Chinese. Since the day I began to talk, the most beautiful sentence I’ve ever learnt has been “I love you, China!”I love you, China, and I’m so proud of being a Chinese. I’m proud that I’ve got the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes and black hair. I’m also proud that I speak the most beautiful language in the world—Chinese.I love you, China, for I can feel the deep love you give me every day, every minute. Last year, I got an opportunity to visit the United States of America. During my staying there, my father’s boss once invited my family to dinner. While at table, he looked at me and asked: “Little boy, how long have you been in America?”“About a month,” I answered, “How lucky you are!” he said, “If you were living in China, how could you learn such perfect English?” I smiled and told him proudly that all thestudents in China are able to learn English at school. I saw his surprised eyes and said to myself, “I’m proud of you, China. For you are offering us the best education.”When I came back from the USA, my friends asked me: “How do you feel about your staying there?”“Wonderful” I said. “Then why do you come back?” Hearing this, I told them there were lots of beautiful countries in the world, but none of them can compare with our own country—China. How true the saying is: “There’s no place like home!”I love you, China. As a young student, all we should do is to study hard and devote ourselves whole-heartedly in the future, to the great cause of building you into an even stronger and greater country in the world. I love you, my dear motherland! I love you, China!Thank you for your listening !祖国在我心中英语演讲稿3Dear teacher, dear students:You good. You must see it through the motherland, beautiful land. That surging river, rolling in the Yellow River, the endless mountains, all part of our great motherland. Magnificent mountains and the motherland, the motherland of the river is elegant, extremely broad mind the motherland. We are all Chinese, all descendants of the dragon. Our happiness comes from the motherland, only rich and powerful countries, can we spend a happy life forever Guanghua. Chinese history tells us, have no country, no home, the state is not strong, and beaten. Our dearest parents, favorite is China When the cruel oppression of the aggressors, when our beautiful mountains and rivers, each face of the Chinese people with conscience tears, hearts dripping with blood, sacred to the hearts of the motherland, they grope in the dark, in the humiliation of protest.Yiduo outraged, Within the wide assassins pistol, Ji Hongchang hung that read, "I am Chinese" slogan wooden plaque, walking in a blue-eyed, blond among foreigners. Zhang and Yang generals to save the nation from peril, decided to launch the Xian Incident ... ...It is the millions of pure, just propped up the backbone of our nation, hope of the motherland; exactly what they, in their own "Today", with the wholehearted blood, composed worthy of the times, "Anthem," before makes our national anthem resounded through the Divine Republic today, so magnificent, so magnificent songShame and misery have become the past, the Chinese ushered in a new glory. Since the reform and opening up 20 years, the majority of working people hard work, whether military, technological, political, sports, we have made considerable progress, the just concluded Athens Olympic Games, the athletes with their "decade of Sword ", first among the Chinese sports power list, the five-star red flag fly high again and again over the stadium in Athens, forceful and passionate of the National Anthem for countless sons and daughters of emotions, tears.Veteran excited to see the tears after gold Wang Yifu, Liu Xiang crosses the finish line to see hands in the air circling bolted figure, I am reminded of the scene as a child watching the Olympics It is a summer evening, my mother and I sat in front of the TV watching the Olympicsopening ceremony, to see the games the national flags of different colors, my mother asked me: "Little Can;, you are most like the flag."; 6 years old, I tilted thought, said, "five-star red flag." "Why?" "Because its the color most vibrant, yellow five-pointed star above look good." my mother did not speak a long time and watched me, shook his head "No, child, because you, the Chinese people!""You are Chinese!" The simple words contained in The Road, how many sons and daughters to do the voice, precisely because there is such a Chinese heart, revolutionary martyrs shed their blood and Olympic athletes courageously fighting, repeatedly create brilliant, and it was only six years old I saw the five-star red flag fluttering in the wind will be excited, passionate aspirations. From that day began, in my mind, there was such a belief: the motherland is the mother, the state is more important than a small house, grow up with both hands to her ever more powerful. Mother has a vast territory, has a glorious history, a rich treasure of the mountains and plains, there are three five Yuexiu Li River scenery. Thinking of Mustang in the Mercedes-Benz, I use my heart depicts the motherland mother, her long hair is the thousands of articles drifting leisurely river flows into her spine is tough and Qiaoba continuous mountain, and her bright eyes is That Dongtings water, West Lake, wave it! Mothers day, "After the fall this is, change the world", the motherland, the "Falling blossoms Fanzuo waves, Castle Peak intentionally into the bridge," Looking to the motherland, rivers and mountains thousands of miles, as if living in between poetry and painting. The motherland is the pearl of the Orient, is off the dragon of Asia, is the rising sun on the distant horizon. Homeland in your heart, in my mind, in the hearts of all of us.Thank you.祖国在我心中英语演讲稿4Today, I speak for everyone is "homeland in my heart." The "From my parents, who raised my homeland." "Country Country, there is only home country." Much more appropriate Say ah! So I love my homeland, more than all my love. Everyone must have heard, "My Chinese Heart" This is the first well-known songs, right? In particular, has been inside the lyrics have touched me deeply, "the Yangtze River, the Great Wall, Mount Huangshan, Yellow River, heavy weight in my mind at any time, regardless of where, like the hearts of the pro." Yes ah, me at any time, anywhere, please do not forget that everyone must own a Chinese, there must be patriotic.Love my homeland, because I love her beautiful landscape. Look, that Mr. Laoshe Daxinganling described the boundless expanse of blue water, not only could not finish going, but also not object to watch, she brought up the number of rare birds and animals, and the number of literary production. It is no wonder that Mr. Lao said she did not empty the United States, but became one of the concrete construction of the United States. Listening, always pour it, rolling in the Yangtze River water from milk such as the general nourishment of this magical land, raising a great nation. First visit to the majestic Mount Tai to visit her, "you would be extremely Ling, list of small hills," the majestic momentum error indicates that the Chinese nation will be permitted on nations of theworld ? Times and then a peaceful trip to the West Lake water gently, she like wonderful, and the mind to absorb a large number of rivers of water, symbolizing the Chinese nation is not correct that the character of tolerance and generosity of mind ?I love Her love of the motherland is not only plants, mountain water, but also love her long and splendid history and culture. Five thousand years long history, the number of Chinese heritage and splendid culture ah! Lively and cute characters, bearing the success or failure of the Chinese nation. Away of the "Book of Songs" "Li Sao" Let the Spring and Autumn scene also shows us, the Tang Dynasty style often linger in the mind; Song, Yuan catchy sound of loud reading, people at the mouth widely sung; the Ming and Qing Dynasties as if the spirit of the novel with me to grow food. Historical and cultural homeland, you are so colorful, so that .I love the motherland is not only a brilliant long-standing love of the motherlands history and culture, but also love the people with lofty ideals of patriotism, heroes. Also remember the moving story of the clank sake of the general good ear drums also vowed; still remember the "no life since ancient times who die, according to Khan, to retain loyalty clearance" of the Zhuang bold and heroic image of Wen Tianxiang as if still present; still remember "Wang Zhongyuan date scheduled for the North division, been forgotten," the earnest warning, Lu You died long before the confession echoed in the mind. Zhan Tianyou resolutely not afraid to accept the difficult task is not afraid of ridicule; Qian reputation to give up money, after a difficult return to its motherland; jewel of the unknown soldier Island to the island as their home, determined to put anisland built. Homeland heroes and heroines are all infected with the patriotic feelings of me, inspired my patriotism.Students! Let us work together to study, right? With our excellent performance, excellent work by our great motherland, the mother returns, right? Mother never let the motherland at my heart.。

中英文演讲稿范文4篇facing this audience on the stage, i have the exciting feeling of participating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more than a mere competition or contest.it is an assembly of some of china’s most talented and motivated people, representatives of a younger generation that are preparing themselves for the coming of a new century.i’m grateful that i’ve been given this opportunity, at such a historic moment, to stand here as a spokesman of my generation and to take a serious look back at the past ×× years, a crucial period for every one of us and for this nation as well.though it is only within my power to tell about my personal experience, and only a tiny fragment of it at that, it still represents, i believe, the root of a spirit which has been essential to me and to all the people bred by the past ×× years.in my elementary years, there was a little girl in theclass who worked very hard but somehow could never do satisfactorily in her lessons.the teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she expected a lot from me.but as a young boy, restless, thoughtless, i always tried to evade her so as to get more time to enjoy myself.one day before the final exam, she came up to me and said, could you please explain this to me? i want very much to do better this time.i started explaining, and finished in a hurry.pretending not to notice her still confused eyes, i ran off quickly.nat surprisingly, she again did very badly in the exam.and two months later, at the beginning of the new semester, word came of her death of blood cancer.no one ever knew about the little task i failed to fulfill, but i couldn’t forgive myself.i simply couldn’t forget her eyes, which seem to be asking, why didn’t you do a little more to help me, when it was so easy for you? why didn’t you understand a littlebetter the trust placed in you, so that i would not have to leave this world in such pain and regret?i was about eight or nine years old at that time, but in a way it was the very starting point of my life, for i began to understand the word responsibility and to learn to always do my duties faithfully and devotedly, for the implications of that sacred word has dawned on me: the mutual need and trust of people, the co-operation and inter-reliance which are the very foundation of human society.Mothers Love中英文演讲稿对照中英文演讲稿范文(2)my dear friends:do you know what is the most precious and everlasting thing in the world?money? you may lose everything you have if you do not use money carefully eno ugh. youth? in one?’s long life youth is like a flash in the pan and no one in the world has the secret to keep his youth forever. beautiful look? many people pray that they can get hold of beauty, but it disappears far more quickly than they can imagine. and whenthey are in real trouble beauty itself feels helpless. a good job? as you grow older and your brain and hands cannot work as fast as before, it will become other people?’s wealth.then what is the most precious and ev-erlasting thing in the world?when you are far away from your fam-ily and feel especially lonely, who will you think of? when you stand on the crossroad in your life and do not know which way to choose, who will you think of? when you encounter greater difficulties than ever and need other?’s encouragement, who will you think of? when you decide to make the greatest decision in your favorite course, who will you think of? who gave birth to you? who brought you up? who shed cheer -ful tears when seeing you make achieve-ments? whose wholehearted blessing will be always with you no matter how far you will go?yes, it’s mother that you will always think of and it’s mother’s love that will be always together with you.i once heard a moving story about a mother. two childrenwere drawn into the flood and the situation was very dangerous. their mother jumped into the water without the least hesitation. but you know the moth-er could not swim at all. jumping into the water means she might lose her life. but at that time she had no time to think about herself. she just wanted to try all means to save her children.maybe her courage moved the god. the miracle happened. she finally succeeded in saving her children one by one. and she, of course, felt extremely ex-hausted.my friends, mother’s love is the greatest love. mother’s love is the safest love. no matter you are happy or sorrowful, rich or poor, mother’s love will always stay with you.thank you all!

1English is a useful language all over the world. Why are we began to learn English when we were little children? Beacause it is very important for us to learn it.In the world, if you cannot speak English you will lose half a chance to success.I began to learn English when I was 8 years old.At that moment,I do not like English.I connot remember all the words which I have learnt.I think it is very difficult for me to learn it well.So I cannot read English loudly and I never answer the questions in the English classes.Even if my English is very bad, my teacher stll encourages me to learn English hard and he gives me some ways to learn English. He tells me to read passages loudly and listen to the English tapes everyday morning. In order to progress my writing he also asks me to write some articles at times. I like listen to the English songs,he suggests me to sing the English songs. As a result of his ways my English becomes well. Now, I like English very well and I still use the ways he tells me.I know I must learn English even hard.初中两分钟英语演讲稿2Can money buy happiness? Different people have different opinions. Some think yes, while others hold the opposite. It is true that with enough money one can buy all the thingsone wants, and live a life of comfort and security. However, it is equally true that lack of money causes great distress. It is a common view that "money is the root of all evil." The pursuit of money drives many people to cheat and steal. In some places there is nothing that cannot be bought with money, resulting in corrupt societies where everybody is miserable. So, money does not necessarily mean happiness. It all depends on how it is used. If we make honest and sensible use of money, it can be a stepping-stone to happiness l Although money cannot buy happiness, it can make happiness possible if it is employed sensibly.初中两分钟英语演讲稿3Today smoking is a widespread habit ali over the world. Not only the old, the youth, but also middle school students have been engaged in smoking. Many of them think that smoking is a smart symbol. However, smoking is harmful to one’s ,health. It contributes a lot of lung cancer, from which many people have died in the past years. It can also cause many other diseases. In a word, if you smoke, you do have a much greater chance of losing your health. Furthermore, scientific research shows that smoking is not only harmful to smokers themselves, but also a threat to public health, especially to women and children. Therefore, many countries have made laws forbidding smokers to smoke m public places such as cinemas, stations, hospitals, and so on Giveup smoking! If you don’t smoke, don’t start. Give upsmoking for the sake of your health, for the sake of your family, and for the sake of the whole world.初中两分钟英语演讲稿4Our little portion of oneness is given a name, is told all kindsof things about itself, and these details, opinions and ideas become facts, which go towards building ourselves, our identity. And that self becomes the vehicle for navigating our social world. But the self is a projection based on other peoples projections. Is it who we really are? Or who we really want to be, or should be?So this whole interaction with self and identity was a very difficult one for me growing up. The self that I attempted to take out into the world was rejected over and over again. And my panic at not having a self that fit, and the confusion that came from my self being rejected, created anxiety, shame and hopelessness, which kind of defined me for a long time.。

中国梦演讲稿英⽂版篇1 Hello everybody! I am very glad to stand here to give you a short speech! Today my topic is Chinese dream. First I want to ask you some questions: 1Do you know what is Chinese dream 2what is your Chinese dream? Chinese dream Chinese dream was put forward by chairman xi last year in order to direct Chinese to a clear future. For the whole nation, it means increasing the level of living. For every single Chinese , it means realizing the value of lifeThe realization of the whole nation’s dream can not be separated from everybody’s own dream. Only by everyone’s efforts can we make the nationy’s dream come true. For our young people, we are supposed to have our own dream. What is dream? The famous Chinese economist LangXianPing has ever said that:”Please do not expect too munch about Chinese students, because they don’t have dream. They only want to find a common job to earn money for a house or a car. They only have a target、purpose、or goal. They don’t have dream. Purpose is not dream. Dream is developed by your warm heart instead of cheating your eyes in the excuse of earning money! A dream is a clear spiritual lighthouse that gives out direction when you do not know what to expect in the days ahead and offers comfort and support when you become doubtful of yourself. So, it’s time that we took our measures to fight for our Chinese dream! That’s all. Thank you! 中国梦演讲稿英⽂版篇2 I Agree or not agree: the next twenty years from now on, students will not use printed books any more. I don't think so. printed books won't be abandoned in such a short time. I admit that new technology is developing fast. Many advanced electronic products are gradually take the place of traditional tools. Just like in university, teachers like to use multimedia in class for it is quite convenient and efficient. However, for our student, it is not realistic to study completely by electronic products. There are many things need to recorded on books. Books are something meaningful and practical. I should say, in our country, printed books wouldn't be abandoned within 20 years at least for two reasons. Firstly, books are classical container of knowledge. They accompany human to advance. A student without books could be someway ridiculous. Secondly, our country haven't developed so strong to make every student study by computer or other forms of electronic tools. And even after 20 years, the possibility is also very small. I also think it is unnecessary because books are cheap but useful and still meaningful. 中国梦演讲稿英⽂版篇3 Hello, ladies and gentlemen. It’s great to be here. First of all, thanks for your coming. Tonight, what I am gonna talk about is innovation. Who can tell me what is innovation? We all know that, since 1978, China has been through the greatest changes brought by the reform and opening-up. So what we can see from the reform and opening-up? The power of innovation. That’s why I am here. I am here to show you my Chinese dream. I want to talk about the future and how we're going to win it. If we want to make innovation. But firstly, we should make sure that China is a place where we can make it if we try, where we can go as far as hard work and big dreams will take us. We understand that it’s not going to be a cakewalk, this competition for the future, which means all of us are going to have to do our best. We are going to have to win the future by being smarter and working harder and working together. Innovation is the spirit of our country, the motive force for our country’s prosperity. Sparking the imagination and creativity of our people, unleashing new discoveries -- that's what China will do better than any other country on Earth. From the moment we have a new idea, we can explore it; we can develop it with a research grant; we can protect it with a patent; we can market it with a loan to start a new business. We’ve got a chain that takes a great ideaall the way through. We must be confirmed that, today, the challenges we face are real. They are serious they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But we will somehow find a way to overcome the difficulties. My major is XXX. My job is to discover or create new drugs for many diseases like cancer. You know that laboratory is the place where miracles happen. Believe it or not. What I do can save millions of people’s lives. For a long time, what challenges me is how to commercialize research. You come up with a great idea, but moving that new discovery from theory to practice or from the lab to the marketplace, that's re ally a big job. That’s what we should focus on. We need to act with a sense of urgency-to study and work and create as if the fate of the country depends on us-because it does. It depends on us. Thank you! 中国梦演讲稿英⽂版篇4 Good evening: my favourite teacher and classmates. It is mypleasure to take a speech here for all of you. No matter what our dreams are we should hold on to them they can just come true one day.

gettysburg address
four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.
we are met on a great battlefield of that war. we have come to dedicate a portion of the field as a final resting-place for those who here gave their lives that the nation might live. it is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. but in a larger sense we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ground.
the brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract. the world will little note, nor long remember, what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here.
it is for us, the living, rather to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. it is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us, ----that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full
measure of devotion, ----that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, ----that this nation, under god, shall have a new birth of freedom, ----and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
最普通的结尾就是:thank you very much for your attention。
that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.(排比)
这个民有、民治、民享的国家将不会从地球上消失。
united, there is little we can not do; divided, there is little we can do.(对照)
团结,我们便将无所不能;分裂,我们则会一事无成。
let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success
of liberty.
recently, graffiti can be seen anywhere in many colleges, which makes our eyesight unpleasant. worse still, many students regard graffiti as a special art. i get annoyed at this phenomenon.
from my point of view, graffiti is so ugly to look at. it’s a kind of pollution as well as an ill behavior. moreover, public buildings are symbols of civilization, not the places to express our thinkings and ideas.
consequently, i think graffiti should be prohibited by our school regulations. those who don’t want to get rid of this bad habit must be punished strictly. in conclusion, we must clear out this bad manner, in order to create a good atmosphere for us to study.
