绘本与译林版《英语》教材有效融合的原则和路径

文|阚荣萍一、引言《义务教育英语课程标准(2011年版)》指出,英语课程应根据教与学的需求,合理利用和积极开发课程资源,给学生提供贴近实际、贴近生活、贴近时代的内容健康和丰富的课程资源。

程晓堂教授也指出,绘本与教材的融合为语言学习提供了真实的语境和丰富的语篇。

语言学习是通过在语境中学习有主题意义的语篇实现的。

语言离不开语篇,语篇离不开内容,内容离不开语境。

二、绘本与英语教材有效融合的原则立足于学生语言运用能力提升和阅读素养的培养,根据学生语言学习能力发展的规律和教材的设计特点,笔者认为绘本与教材有效融合应遵循以下四个原则。

1.单元话题的一致性译林版《英语》每个单元都有一个核心话题,各个板块的教学均在单元主题语境中开展。

《普通高中英语课程标准(2017年版)》指出主题语境包含三大范畴:人与自我、人与社会、人与自然。

在与教材进行融合时,首先要选择与主题单元语境相匹配或匹配度较高的绘本。

例如译林版《英语》五(上)U5What do they do?主题情境是谈论家人的职业,主要涉及了八种职业和工作职能的表达。

绘本“Who’s who at school?”选自《跟上兔子》第三季,让学生知道在学校工作的不仅有教师,还有很多其他工作人员,如librarian,canteen worker等。

他们的工作内容虽各不相同,却无贵贱之分。

正是由于他们的默默付出、无私奉献,学生才能健康快乐成长。

该绘本很好地延伸了教材话题,拓展了教材的广度和深度。

2.教学内容的关联性过长、过难的绘本不仅会降低阅读成效,还会加重学业负担。

绘本内容的选取应遵循小学生的认知发展规律,立足单元教学内容,突出教学重点。

教师要引导学生在绘本阅读的过程中,将课堂上学到的新知通过吸收和内化,在语言运用中去实践。

例如译林版《英语》四(上)U4I can playbasketball教学重点是学习情态动词can的陈述句及一般疑问句。

绘本“I can do everything myself”则用I can...句型贯穿全文,如Ican wake up myself./I can makemy bed./I can wash my face等。

小学教学计·英语2021/07“合理开发和积极利用课程资源是有效实施英语课程的保证”(教育部,2012)。

作为教材的有益补充,绘本图文并茂,情节生动,学生读起来朗朗上口。

“与教材相比,绘本在培养学生英语阅读素养方面有明显的优势”(王蔷,敖娜仁图雅,2017)。

利用其丰富的图文资源,绘本能激活学生思维,促进心智发展;其次,绘本教学还能引导学生关注阅读方法,形成阅读策略,助力自主学习,最终形成阅读品格,提升阅读素养。

绘本“My Friend ”选自《攀登英语阅读系列分级阅读》第二级,本文以此绘本为例,试析绘本与教材融合的教学实践。

一、绘本与教材融合视角(一)基于语言认知的融合1.知识复现的融合绘本“My Friend ”采用了一般现在时,虽然生词较多,但大多都能根据图片推理猜测,出现最多的句型She is...是本单元的教学重点。

整个故事围绕friend 展开描述,但没有直接呈现朋友是谁,而是在逐步描述中让学生领会原来主人公的朋友就是自己的影子,故事情节趣味性十足。

2.语言拓展的融合学生在教材中已经学会用句型He/She is...介绍自己的朋友,而绘本“My Friend ”更侧重于用句型表达朋友的特征,如Sometimes my friend...这些都是对教材内容的扩充,能丰富学生的口语表达,提升学生的综合语用能力。

(二)基于主题意义的融合1.话题贴切,激发童趣小学低年级学生刚开始学习英语,尽量为他们选择一些图片童真、内容简单、语言重复的绘本(王英,2013)。

教材三(上)Unit 3单元话题是“朋友”,绘本故事“My Friend ”则进一步描述了朋友的特征,两者话题有一定的关联性。

相同话题不同内容的故事表达,能让学生产生好奇心,激发他们的阅读兴趣。

2.角度互补,激发思考教材中谈论的朋友是身边的同学,而绘本故事“My Friend ”谈论的朋友是主人公的影子。

教材和绘本从两个不同的角度讲述“朋友”的故事,拓展了学生的视野,原来朋友可以来自不同的形式,可以有不同的定义,这为学生表述这一话题提供了多样视角。

二、教学背景分析(1)对教学内容的理解和分析教学内容是攀登英语一级B第2单元第一课时.这个单元的课堂学习内容是一首歌曲童谣《Clap your hands》;一组日常用语Where is Andy? He’s in the classroom. He is reading a book.还有《迪士尼神奇英语》动画At the party.需要安排五课时来完成整个单元的学习。

依据攀登英语循序渐进的学习进度和学生的认知规律,第一课时起着铺垫、引导的重要作用。

为后面的展示Perform做准备。

(2)学生情况分析知识能力基础一年级学生在上学期里,按学习要求掌握了攀登英语一级A的学习内容,能够用英语进行初步简单的交流,还逐渐养成了敢说英语的习惯,学习英语的自信心和兴趣也越来越高。

这学期在保持日常英语、歌曲童谣等主体学习内容不变的基础上,可以扩大学生的知识面,学生积累的语言、歌曲童谣和单词越多,学生学习的成就感越强。

存在问题及解决对策由于总是重复的学习模式,学生也会产生疲倦感,注意力会不集中,针对此,通过小组评价栏、奖励个人小贴画和单词卡片、优秀生模范表演、轮流组长制,提高学生的积极性和课堂的有效性。
