After watching "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials," the second installment in the Maze Runner film series, I was left with a mix of excitement, suspense, and wonderment. The film takes the audience on a thrilling journey through a post-apocalyptic world filled with danger and mystery. The plot revolves around a group of young survivors who manage to escape the maze in the first film, only to find themselves facing new challenges and a treacherous landscape known as "The Scorch." The characters, led by Thomas, played by Dylan O'Brien, must navigate this desolate wasteland while evading capture by a group called WICKED, who are conducting experiments on the immune survivors. One of the standout aspects of the movie is its stunning visuals. The Scorch is portrayed as a harsh and unforgiving environment, with vast stretches of sandy dunes, dilapidated cities, and abandoned buildings. The cinematography captures the intensity and beauty of this world, immersing the audience in the characters' struggle for survival. The action sequences in the film are exhilarating and well-choreographed. From intense chase scenes to heart-pounding encounters with the infected Cranks, every moment is filled with adrenaline. The director, Wes Ball, effectively creates a sense of urgency and danger throughout the film, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. The performances in "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" are also commendable. Dylan O'Brien portrays Thomas with a mix of determination, vulnerability, and leadership, making him a relatable and likable protagonist. The chemistry among the cast is evident, with the ensemble working together seamlessly to bring their characters to life. The film introduces new characters that add depth and intrigue to the story. Teresa, played by Kaya Scodelario, faces internal struggles and conflicts that challenge her loyalty to her friends. Brenda, portrayed by Rosa Salazar, brings a sense of resilience and resourcefulness to the group. Each character is well-developed and adds new dimensions to the narrative. The plot of "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" delves deeper into the mystery surrounding the maze and the purpose of the experiments conducted by WICKED. The story raises thought-provoking questions about sacrifice, humanity, and the lengths people will go to survive. It keeps the audience engaged and eagerly anticipating the next twist and turn. The film's pacing is fast-paced, never giving the audience a moment to catch their breath. The suspense builds gradually, revealing new information and challenges along the way. While some may argue that the plot is convoluted at times, I found it to be intriguing and compelling, keeping me invested in the story until the end.The movie also explores themes of trust and betrayal. The characters are constantly questioning the motives of those around them, unsure of who they can rely on in this unpredictable world. This adds an element of tension and complexity to the relationships between the characters and keeps the audience guessing about who they can trust. In conclusion, "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" is a thrilling and engaging film that captivates the audience from start to finish. With itsstunning visuals, intense action sequences, and thought-provoking storyline, it successfully builds upon the world established in the first film. The performances are solid, and the characters continue to evolve and develop. Overall, it is a must-watch for fans of the dystopian genre and anyone looking for an exciting cinematic experience.。
An hour later, Thomas sat in front of the Keepers for the Gathering. They hadn't let Teresa1)in. Newt2) and Minho3) trusted her now, but the others still had their doubts. "All right,Greenie4). Start talking," Alby5) said."It's a long story," he began. "We don't have time to go through it all, but I'll tell you thegist6) of it. When I went through the Changing7), I saw flashes of images—hundreds of them—like a slide show in fast forward. A lot came back to me, but only some of it is clear enough to talk about. Other stuff has faded or is fading. But I remember enough. The Creators are testing us. The Maze was never meant to be solved. It's all been a trial. They want the winners—or survivors—to do something important.""What?" Newt asked."Let me start over," Thomas said. "Every single one of us was taken when we were really young. The Creators stole us, and I think they felt justified in doing it. Somehow they figured out that we have above-average intelligence, and that's why they chose us. I don't know."After we were taken, we spent the next few years learning in special schools, living somewhat normal lives until they were finally able to finance and build the Maze. All our names arejust stupid nicknames they made up—like Alby for Albert Einstein, Newt for Isaac Newton, and me—Thomas. As in Edison.""What are you saying?" Frypan8) asked. "That we're freakin'9) orphans raised by scientists?""Yes," Thomas said. "Supposedly10) we're really smart and they're studying every move we make, analyzing us. Seeing who'd give up and who wouldn't. Seeing who'd survive it all.""I believe this klunk11) about as much as I believe Frypan's food is good for you,"Winston12) grumbled13)."Why would I make this up?" Thomas said, his voice rising. He'd gotten stung on purpose to remember these things!"Just keep talking," Alby said.Thomas sucked in a big breath. "Okay, somehow they wiped14) our memories—not just our childhood, but all the stuff leading up to15) entering the Maze. They put us in the Box and sent us up here—a big group to start and then one a month over the last two years.""But why?" Newt asked. "What's the bloody point?"Thomas held up a hand for silence. "I'm getting there. Like I said, they wanted to test us, see how we'd react to what they call the Variables, and to a problem that has no solution. See if we could work together—build a community, even. Everything was provided for us, and the problem was laid out16) as one of the most common puzzles known to civilization—a maze. All this added up to making us think there had to be a solution, just encouraging us to work all the harder while at the same time magnifying17) our discouragement at not finding one. What I'm saying is, there is no solution."Chatter18) broke out, questions overlapping19) each other.Thomas held his hands up again. "See? Your reaction proves my point. Most people would've given up by now. But I think we're different. We couldn't accept that a problem can't be solved—especially when it's something as simple as a maze. And we've kept fighting no matter how hopeless it's gotten."Thomas realized his voice had steadily risen as he spoke. "Whatever the reason, it makes me sick! All of this—the Grievers, the walls moving, the Cliff—they're just elements of a stupid test. We're being used and manipulated. The Creators wanted to keep our minds working toward a solution that was never there. Same thing goes for Teresa being sent here, her being used to trigger theEnding—whatever that means—the place being shut down, gray skies, on and on and on. They're throwing crazy things at us to see our response, test our will, and see if we'll turn on20) each other. In the end, they want the survivors for something important."Frypan stood up. "And killing people?"Thomas felt a moment of fear. "Yes, Frypan, killing people. The only reason the Grievers are doing it one by one21) is so we don't all die before it ends the way it's supposed to. Survival of the fittest. Only the best of us will escape."Minho, who'd been mostly silent the whole time, cleared his throat. "Something tells me I'm not gonna like what I'm about to hear.""Probably not," Thomas said. "The Creators want the best of us for whatever it is they have planned. But we have to earn it."一个小时后,托马斯面朝参加集会的守护者们(编注:负责守护林地的规则)坐下。
《移动迷宫》的观后感范文
The sky is healthy, the gentleman strives for self-improvement, the terrain is great, and the gentleman carries hisvirtues.
My Favorite Movie My Favorite Book
Let’s appreciateMy Favorite MovieDo you know about the science fiction movies? It is not real and most of the story is fiction. The Maze Runner(移动迷宫), directed by James Dashner impressed me most.It tells the story of a group of teens who are trapped in a maze. Going through all the twists and turns(波折), Thomas, the main character, leads the teens to find the way to the end. The most exciting part of the story is how to get out of the maze. In this part, I see different personalities of human beings like trust. Thomas and his best friend had a trust crisis(危机), which reminds me of my own experience.Once I argued with my best friend because she told me a lie. I felt I was hurt, so I can understand Thomas’feelings. Luckily, we made up with each other. Besides, I learn a lot from Thomas. He not only takes responsibilities for his own behavior, but also cares for others. He is born a leader. And I learn that everyone should do their part in a team. It is really a wonderful movie and I think you’ll love it.My Favorite BookAbout five years ago, I read a book called Daughter of Cherry Apple Tree. It is a short novel for teens. Behind the book lies the true meaning of growth:there won’t always be an answer waiting for you in the end, but you can learn how to fight for it.The main character in this book is called Pei Yuntang. The 15-year-old girl loves music, but she cant sing. Luckily, she is very good at playing the piano. No one seems to understand the beautiful world deep in her heart. Pei meets a group of people who also loves music, including her childhood friend Wan Shi. They play as a band and perform on an open stage. The crazy crowd stood below the stage, and above the band are flowing clouds and shinning stars. I burst into tears when they say: We just want a world where everyone, even the poor can love, breath and sing freely.”I am a music lover as well, but my heavy homework is pushing me further and further away from my dream. I love this book because of its encouragement. Every time I think about giving up, I read this book. The spirit of holding on encourages me to hold onto my passion for music.。
In the end, what you believe can become what you believe.

Moving through the Maze – A Reflection on the Movie "The Maze Runner"Recently, I had the pleasure of watching the movie "The Maze Runner," and it left me with a profound sense of wonder and curiosity. This young adult dystopian film, based on James Dashner's novel, takes us on a thrilling journey of mystery, survival, and the indomitable human spirit. The film centers around a group of teenagers who find themselves trapped in a mysterious maze, their memories erased, and their identities lost. As I watched the characters navigate through the vast, ever-changing labyrinth, I couldn't help but draw parallels to our own lives. The maze, in this context, is a metaphor for the challenges and obstacles we face on our own life's journey. One aspect of the movie that resonated deeply with me was the sense of camaraderie and teamwork among the characters. Despite the harsh circumstances they found themselves in, they banded together, each person contributing their unique skills and strengths to overcome the seemingly insurmountable challenges. This made me reflect on the importance of solidarity in our own lives. When we work together, pooling our diverse talents and perspectives, we can achieve remarkable things.Another theme that struck a chord with me was the concept of self-discovery. In the movie, amidst the chaos and danger, the characters begin to unravel their own personal histories, suppressed memories, and hidden talents. This resonated with me as a reminder of the power of introspection and exploration. It encouraged me to embark on a journey of self-discovery, to delve deep into my own psyche and uncover the hidden potential within.Additionally, "The Maze Runner" raises questions about the nature of authority and control. The characters discover that they are part of an experiment, controlled by a shadowy organization. This exploration of power dynamics made me contemplate how some individuals and institutions exert influence over others, often manipulating andexploiting them for their own gain. It highlighted the importance of questioning and challenging authority when necessary, and the need for individuals to retain their autonomy and agency. Moreover, the movie's stunning visual effects and cinematography added depth to the narrative. The intricately designed maze, with its towering walls and shifting corridors, captured my imagination and left me in awe. It showcased the extraordinary capabilities of the film industry in creating immersive and visually stunning worlds. These visuals not only served to enhance the storytelling but also allowed for a deeper engagement with the emotions and experiences of the characters. In conclusion, "The Maze Runner" is a film that goes beyond its dystopian young adult genre. It serves as a metaphor for life's challenges, highlighting the power of collaboration, self-discovery, and questioning authority. The memorable characters and engaging narrative combined with visually striking visuals make for an enthralling cinematic experience. As I left the theater, I couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of wonder and determination, ready to take on life's maze-like challenges with courage and resilience.。

Movie goers in the United States bought more than $32million worth of tickets last weekend for its opening.“The Maze Runner” is based on a science fiction book of the same name by James Dashner. The book and movie tell about a boy who wakes up one day and cannot remember anything except his name: Thomas. He finds himself in a place called the Glade. It is a green, rural place and the home to many teenage boys. They all perform different jobs in order to survive. Just like Thomas, each boy has lost his memory.Thomas’ job is to run through a maze, a place with many paths, but only one that leads out. But there are horrible, hungry creatures on the grounds that make a trip through the maze very dangerous.Twenty-three-year-old actor Dylan O’Brien plays Thomas. The maze was a labyrinth of twisting passages and dead ends, a puzzle of pathways that seemed to lead nowhere. The walls loomed high above, casting long shadows that made it difficult to see what lay ahead. Every turn brought a new challenge, a new decision to make, and the sense of being lost only grew stronger with each step.I felt a sense of unease as I navigated the maze, the feeling of being watched by unseen eyes. The silence was oppressive, broken only by the sound of my own footsteps echoing off the walls. It was as if the maze itself was alive, a living, breathing entity that toyed with those who dared to enter its domain. As I wandered deeper into the maze, I began to losetrack of time. The endless corridors seemed to stretch on forever, and the sense of disorientation only grew stronger. It was as if the maze was playing tricks on my mind, leading me in circles and blurring the line between realityand illusion. At times, I thought I saw a flicker of movement out of the corner of my eye, a fleeting glimpse of something that shouldn't have been there. But when I turned to look, there was nothing but empty corridors stretching out before me. It was enough to make me question my own sanity, to wonder if the maze was driving me mad.Despite the fear and uncertainty that gripped me, I pressed on, driven by a stubborn determination to find my way out. I refused to be defeated by the maze, refused to let it break my spirit. And so I continued to navigate its treacherous pathways, hoping against hope that I would eventually find the way to freedom. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I stumbled upon the exit. The sunlight streamed in through the open doorway, a welcome sight after the darkness of the maze. I emerged into the outside world, feeling a sense of relief and triumph wash over me. The maze had tested me in ways Inever could have imagined, but I had emerged victorious, with a newfound sense of strength and resilience.。

Maze - An Experience to Remember (1000 words)Mazes have been enjoyed by people for centuries. They have been created in various forms, ranging from simple puzzles to intricate designs, where one can easily lose their way. Recently, I had the opportunity to explore one of the most fascinating mazes I have ever encountered. This experience left me with valuable insights and memories that will remain with me for a lifetime.Visiting the maze was like stepping into a different world. The entrance itself was grand, with well-manicured hedges stretching out to form towering walls. The fragrance of blooming flowers filled the air, adding to the surreal atmosphere. As I walked along the narrow pathway, I could feel the anticipation building up within me.Upon entering the maze, I was immediately struck by its complexity. There were numerous paths branching out in different directions, each promising a different outcome. Initially, I thought it would be a piece of cake to navigate through the maze, but soon enough, I realized I was mistaken. At first, I went with my gut instinct, taking turns based on what felt right at that moment. However, this method proved to be unreliable, as it often led me in circles, returning me to the same spot again and again. It was frustrating, to say the least. I soon learned that navigating through a maze required a more strategic approach. As I proceeded, I started paying closer attention to the detailssurrounding me. I observed the patterns of the hedges, trying to discern any subtle clues they might hold. I also noted the positions of landmarks such as fountains or statues, which acted as markers. These observations gradually helped me gain a better understanding of the maze's structure, allowing me to make more informed decisions on which paths to take.In addition to using my senses, I also had to rely on my instincts. There were moments when the path ahead seemed daunting and uncertain. It was during these times that I had to trust my intuition and take a leap of faith. Sometimes, this would lead me to dead ends, but occasionally, it would guide me towards the right path. Learning to trust myself in such situations not only improved my chances of solving the maze but also gave me a valuable life lesson.Along the way, I encountered fellow explorers who were also navigating through the maze. Some appeared lost and bewildered, while others were confident and determined. It was interesting to observe how different individuals tackled the same challenges. Some chose to go solo, relying solely on their own abilities, while others formed alliances, collaborating with others to increase their chances of success. This reminded me of the importance of teamwork and the power of collective effort. Sometimes, in life, reaching our goals requires the support and assistance of others. As I continued my journey, I noticed the shift in my mindset. Initially, I had been fixated on reaching the center of the maze as quickly as possible. However, as time went on, I began to appreciate the beauty of the journey itself. I marveled at the intricate design of the hedges, the play of sunlight filtering throughthe leaves, and the sound of birds chirping nearby. Each twist and turn became an opportunity to immerse myself in the present moment and appreciate the wonders around me. It reminded me that life is not solely about reaching the destination, but also about savoring the journey. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I reached the center of the maze. The sense of accomplishment I felt was indescribable. It was a culmination of perseverance, analytical thinking, and a willingness to explore the unknown. Standing in the middle of the maze, I realized that life, like a maze, presents us with numerous challenges and obstacles. To overcome them, we must be willing to venture into the unknown, trust our instincts, and learn from our experiences. In conclusion, exploring the maze was more than just a recreational activity; it was a transformative experience. It taught me the importance of strategic thinking, trust in oneself, teamwork, appreciating the journey, and overcoming obstacles. The lessons I learned inside the maze are applicable to various aspects of life, making this experience one that I will cherish and reflect upon for years to come.。

Run Through It
Class94 NO.13 蒋梦雨Vivian
Have you ever imagined a closed place where people lead a peaceful life? Have you ever imagined that there were lots of unbelievable mechanical monsters around you? Have you ever imagined the feelings that you are hopeful to get out of a maze. Actually The Maze Runner did.
The movie The Maze Runner was filmed by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation in 2013,and it came out in 2014.The director Weiss Pohl said the main idea was growth, the maze seemed to be the campus and youths could improve themselves by challenges. Most actors in this film are green hands but energetic.Dylan O’Brien played the main character Thomas,Kaya Scodelario played the only woman Teresa, Thomas Sangster played the leader of the maze Newt, Ki Hong Lee, played the leader of the runners and also Thomas’s friend, Minho. They are friends and cooperate with each others to escape from the maze.
Thomas was sent to the maze without any memories, he didn’t know who he is or what happened. During these time, Alby helped him be familiar with the maze. The maze opened and closed in an exact time and changed everyday. The only
way to get out of here was to run along the maze, then maybe at the entrance there were some clues. Argument and fighting happened because of the thought of escape of Thomas. But it couldn’t stop Thomas and his friends to give up. At last, Minho and Thomas found the law of the maze so that they with their friends fight against the mechanical monsters successfully and got out of the maze. But unexpectedly the maze seemed to be a plan of an organization…
The cost of the film is not too high, but the scene is unique and second to none, especially the fight between Thomas and the monster. When Thomas wanted to rescue his friend, the monster appeared. The monster kept on chasing Thomas and spit some mucus to him. All the scene affected the audience’s heart as if we were chased as well. Fortunately, Thomas was out of its hand and killed it at last.
The memory of the film is still branded in my mind up to now. The maze is the main clue which always makes the audience confused. But it leads us to think again and again until it finishes. I like this kind of film. Just like we never know what will happen next. So this kind of film will never be boring because it always brings you some new and attracts you. The film creates such a maze which means adventures, challenges
and setbacks to tell the youths to break the law and fight for freedom. Maybe in the maze there is a Utopian world. People there get along well with each others but are afraid to innovate. What made me moved was that when Thomas decided to try again, many people followed him and they fought against the monster together even though there were some of them sacrificed. Cooperation is also an important key when people face the troubles.
Run through it, whether there’s something bad in the front or not.。
