1My Big Opinion on Video GamesHi there! My name is Billy and I'm 11 years old. I love playing video games more than anything else in the whole world! My friends and I talk about games all the time at school. Some people think video games are a waste of time, but I totally disagree. Today I'm going to explain why I believe video games are actually really good for kids. Get ready for my huge opinion on this!First of all, video games help kids learn stuff without even realizing it. Take a game like Minecraft for example. In that game, you have to harvest materials from the environment to build shelters and tools. You have to manage your inventory, craft items in a certain order, and think strategically. Without meaning to, you pick up knowledge about resources, engineering, logistics and creative problem-solving. That's just one example - there are educational games that teach coding, history, languages and more in a fun interactive way.Lots of video games also improve hand-eye coordination. Games where you have to aim crosshairs and hit targets or quickly react to enemies popping up on screen make your brain and hands work together better. Becoming quasi-ambidextrous with both hands on a controller is a unique skill too. Maybe it's not as important as playing an instrument or doing a sport, but better hand-eye coordination can't be bad!Another big plus is that video games bring people together. When I'm playing an online multiplayer game, I get to chat and cooperate with friends from all over the world. We have to communicate clearly, divvy up roles and execute strategies as a team to succeed. These are incredible social skills that translate to the real world. I'm making friends and learning about other cultures from the comfort of my home! Video games are also fun to play split-screen with a buddy right next to you on the couch.Lots of parents worry that video games make kids lazy and anti-social, but I've found the opposite to be true for me and my friends. Sure, gaming can be an insanely immersive solo experience when you just want to bliss out and get lost in an amazing fantasy world. But games give us something exciting to discuss and bond over. We spend so much time swapping stories, analyzing strategies, talking about the coolest new games andmore. My closest buddies are the ones I play games with regularly. We're constantly teaching each other new tips and tricks too.I think adults need to be more open-minded about video games. They can be a creative outlet for kids to express themselves, seed their curiosity to learn more, and help them develop skills like strategy, collaboration and communication. Games with great storytelling can emotionally move people just like books or movies. And games centered around exploration let you virtually travel to mind-blowing realms you could never visit in real life.Obviously, video games shouldn't be someone's entire life. Getting exercise, reading, spending time outdoors and other activities are super important for health and growth too. But games can play a big part in a kid's development when balanced with other positive habits. They're engaging, stimulating, social and worlds better than just zoning out on TV or YouTube. So in conclusion, don't believe the negative stereotypes about video games! They've helped me become a smarter, more skilled and more sociable person overall. Games can absolutely be an incredibly rewarding hobby for kids when not taken to an extreme. We should appreciate and understand the appealinstead of looking down on gaming. Who knows, maybe I'll even become a famous game designer someday! Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my latest obsession. Thanks for reading my huge gigantic opinion!篇2Recess is the Best Part of SchoolHey there! I'm Timmy, a 7th grader at Jefferson Middle School. Today I want to tell you all about why recess is seriously the best part of the whole school day. Recess rocks and I'm going to explain exactly why.First off, recess lets you get some fresh air and exercise after being cooped up inside for a bunch of hours. We have to sit at our desks for forever during classes like math, science, and English. By the time recess rolls around, I'm dying to get up and run around outside. That blast of sunshine and fresh breeze feels so good after the stuffy air in the classrooms. My body needs to stretch and move!Recess is also prime social time. You can hang out with your friends without teachers hushing you every five seconds. We can goof around, joke, chat about our favorite games or movies, or whatever. Sometimes we analyze our crazy teachers' outfits orhairstyles and have a good laugh. Other times we rehash some dramatic thing that happened between friends and try to figure out the deal. Recess is when you can really connect with your squad. For me and my buddies, pretty much every recess involves a heated game of basketball, football, or soccer. We get super competitive and talk major smack to each other while playing hard. The adrenaline is pumping as we race up and down the field or court trying to score. A pick-up game brings out everyone's competitive spirit in a big way. Sometimes we get a little too intense and have to be reminded to chill out by the yard duties. But that's half the fun - the trash talking and showboating when you make a nice move.Even if you're not into running around though, recess has something for everyone. Some kids read alone under the big oak tree to escape for a while. Others practice dance moves or listen to music together. There are tetherball competitions, jumprope clubs, you name it. You can explore whatever weird interests you're into without being stuck at a desk. Recess is free time to lett your freak flag fly.The bottom line is recess provides a necessary break from the grind of academic periods. Sitting through every subjectfrom period 1 through 6 without any break would be literal torture. My brain wouldn't be able to focus by the end - I need recess to refresh and reset. I return to class after recess feeling re-energized and ready to power through whatever final classes lie ahead.Recess is even more crucial for the young kids who have shorter attention spans. Could you imagine being a hyper 3rd grader and having to sit perfectly still doing math worksheets for 6 hours straight? No way! Those bouncy little maniacs would explode without recess to burn off steam. They need multiple breaks for running around like crazy people or they'd never make it through a full school day.Listen, I get that schools have a lot of important academic stuff to cram into our brains. That's their job and I respect it. But recess cannot be neglected amidst all the book learning. Study after study shows that kids perform better if they have regular breaks to recharge and let loose. Recess needs to benon-negotiable so we can thrive mentally and physically.Schools that try minimizing recess time or cutting it completely are making a huge mistake. I feel terrible for the poor kids who get pathetic recess time or none at all. That's just cruel!A recess-free childhood sounds miserable to me. Where's the funand freedom? How can you develop social skills or explore interests outside academics? I wouldn't be able to handle it - by third period I'd be zoning out completely.I'm sure some school administrators think recess is a waste of time better spent on more learning. Maybe they think it's just uselessgoofing around or an excuse for irresponsible behavior. Older folks always want to squash anything fun for kids under the pretense of being practical and productive. Well, I call BS on that view! Recess is absolutely essential for kids' wellbeing and ability to be successful students. We need a legit break to reboot ourselves amidst the intense work of academics. And honestly, any school that refuses its students adequate recess time is straight up failing them.So that's my passionate defense of recess, one of the most sacred and beautiful parts of the school day experience. If you ever have kids and get outvoted on scaling back their recess, just show them this essay. I'll set them straight real quick! Recess is king and it must be protected with everything we've got. Don't let anyone steal away that golden window of freedom from the school day. Trust me, you'll have an uprising of zombified, burnt out kid-drones on your hands. And you don't want to deal with that horrifying scenario.Long live recess! That's all I've got to say on the matter. Thanks for reading my heartfelt take. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a crucial game of kickball calling my name...篇3My Thoughts on School UniformsHi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a 12-year-old student in primary school. Today, I want to share my thoughts on something that's been a hot topic in our school lately – school uniforms! Now, I know what you're thinking, "School uniforms? Boring!" But hear me out, because I think there's a lot more to this issue than meets the eye.First things first, I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of wearing the same outfit every day. I mean, who doesn't love expressing themselves through their clothes? It's like a little way of showing the world who you are, without even saying a word. But at the same time, I can see why some people might prefer having a uniform. For one thing, it takes away a lot of the stress and pressure of deciding what to wear every morning. I know I've spent waytoo much time standing in front of my closet, trying to figure out the perfect outfit. With a uniform, you just throw it on and you're good to go! It's kind of like having a built-in decision made for you, which can be really convenient.Another thing I like about uniforms is that they can help create a sense of unity and belonging within a school community. When we're all wearing the same colors and logos, it kind of feels like we're part of a team, you know? It's like a little reminder that we're all in this together, working towards the same goals. But of course, there are also some downsides to school uniforms that I can't ignore. For example, they can be really expensive, especially if you have to buy multiple sets or if the uniform requires specific brands or styles. That's not always easy for families on a tight budget.Plus, let's be real – uniforms can be kind of uncomfortable sometimes. Especially if they're made of scratchy materials or don't fit quite right. And don't even get me started on those awful pleated skirts that some schools make the girls wear! Talk about a fashion disaster.I also think it's important to consider how uniforms might affect students' ability to express themselves and their individuality. For some kids, fashion is a really important outletfor creativity and self-expression. Taking that away could be kind of a bummer, you know?At the end of the day, I think the debate over school uniforms is a complex one, with valid arguments on both sides. Personally, I'm kind of on the fence about it. On one hand, I love the idea of having a sense of unity and belonging at school, and not having to stress about what to wear every morning. But on the other hand, I also really value self-expression and individuality, and I don't want to feel like I'm being forced into a box.I guess what it really comes down to is finding a balance. Maybe schools could have a uniform policy, but also allow for some flexibility and personalization? Like, you have to wear the basic uniform pieces, but you can accessorize with your own flair, or wear different styles of the uniform pieces.Or maybe there could be certain days or events where students are allowed to wear their own clothes, as a way to express themselves and take a break from the uniform routine.Whatever the solution, I think it's important for schools to listen to students' perspectives and try to find a compromise that works for everyone. Because at the end of the day, we're theones who have to wear these uniforms (or not wear them), so our opinions should definitely be taken into account. So those are my thoughts on school uniforms! I know it's a pretty controversial topic, and everyone has their own opinion. But I hope I've given you a little food for thought, and maybe even helped you see the issue from a new perspective. Thanks for reading, and remember – whether you're rocking a uniform or your favorite outfit, the most important thing is being true to yourself and feeling comfortable in your own skin. Fashion is fun, but it's not everything. As long as you're being a good person and working hard in school, that's what really matters.Catch you later, alligator!篇4My Views on School UniformsHey there! My name is Sam and I'm a 7th grader at Oakwood Middle School. The other day, my English teacher asked us to write an essay sharing our thoughts on whether schools should have uniforms or not. At first, I didn't really have a strong opinioneither way. But after giving it some serious thought, I've decided I'm totally against having school uniforms. Let me explain why.First of all, making kids wear uniforms violates our freedom of expression and individuality. Clothes are one of the main ways people my age express themselves and show their unique personalities. If we all had to wear the exact same outfits every day, it would be like erasing a huge part of who we are. It's basically screaming "You're not allowed to be yourself here!" And that's just wrong in my book.I get that some people think uniforms could cut down on bullying since no one would be able to judge others for what they wear. But that's just putting a band-aid on the real issue. Bullies are always going to find other reasons to pick on people, like their appearance, race, grades, after school activities...you name it. The problem is the bullying mindset itself that needs to be addressed through education and setting a zero-tolerance policy. Not by forcing everyone into conformity.Another argument for uniforms is that they make students focus more on schoolwork instead of what they're wearing. That's ridiculous! My concentration in class has nothing to do with my clothes. Whether I'm wearing jeans and a t-shirt or khakis and a polo, my mind is going to inevitably drift off andstart daydreaming about things like my next baseball game, that awesome new video game that just came out, or what I'm going to binge-watch on Netflix later. Kids are kids - we have short attention spans! Our outfits aren't to blame for that. And let's be real - uniforms can be expensive, especially for families who are already struggling financially. Having to buy specific shirts, pants, skirts, etc. from approved vendors puts an unnecessary burden on parents. With regular clothes, you can shop wherever is most affordable and reuse items across multiple school years as kids grow. Why make getting an education any more costly than it already is?Not to mention, uniforms are just plain boring and uncomfortable. Wouldn't you get sick of wearing the same drab outfits day after day? I know I would. And have you ever tried sitting through a whole school day in a stiff, scratchy polo shirt or an insanely wrinkle-prone button-down? No thank you! I'd much rather be able to learn in clothing that's casual, comfortable, and lets me freely move around without feeling restricted. At the end of the day, we're just kids trying to have at least a little bit of fun while getting our education. Uniforms suck the joy and personality out of going to school. They send the wrong message that students can't be trusted to make appropriateclothing choices, when most of us are perfectly capable of dressing neatly without going over-the-top inappropriate. School uniforms just create one more pointless rule to stress about following. So in conclusion, while I respect that some people arepro-uniform for various reasons, I'm definitely anti-uniform all the way. Uniforms stamp down on self-expression, don't actually solve real issues like bullying and focusing problems, add financial strain for some families, and make the overall school experience a serious drag. We should be allowed to come as we are and concentrate on learning in an environment that lets us be comfortable, creative, and true to ourselves. That's just my two cents as a kid currently living the middle school life! Let me know if you agree or disagree.篇5A Day in the Life of a Middle SchoolerMiddle school is a wild ride, let me tell you! It's like being stuck on a rollercoaster that never stops. One minute you're laughing with your friends, and the next, you're freaking out about a big test or dealing with some drama. But hey, that's just how it goes when you're a middle schooler, right?Let me walk you through a typical day in my life. The Morning MadnessMornings are always a crazy rush. My mom has to practically drag me out of bed, and then it's a mad scramble to get ready before the school bus arrives. I'm usually stuffing my homework into my backpack at the last minute, or searching frantically for my misplaced sneakers. By the time I make it to the bus stop, I'm already exhausted, and the day has barely begun!Class ChaosOnce I'm at school, the real fun begins. Classes are a total mixed bag. Some of them are pretty cool, like English or Art, where we get to be creative and express ourselves. But then there are subjects like Math or Science, which might as well be written in ancient Greek for all the sense they make to me.And let's not forget about the teachers. Some of them are awesome and really try to make learning fun. But others? Yeesh, they're so strict and boring, it's like they're actively trying to put us to sleep.Lunchtime LowdownAh, lunchtime – the highlight of every middle schooler's day! This is when we get to hang out with our friends, trade snacks, and gossip about the latest school drama. The cafeteria is a total madhouse, with kids running around, throwing food, and generally causing chaos. But hey, that's just part of the fun! We're a rowdy bunch, us middle schoolers.After-School AdventuresOnce the final bell rings, the real adventure begins. Some of us have sports practice or clubs to attend, while others just want to kick back and relax. Personally, I'm a big fan of hanging out at the park with my friends, or hitting up the local arcade for some video game action. But hey, that's just part of the middle school experience, right? The Rollercoaster of EmotionsMiddle school is also a time of intense emotions. One minute you're on top of the world, laughing with your buddies and feeling like you're invincible. The next, you're dealing with crushed feelings, bullies, or just the general awkwardness of being a teenager. It's like riding an emotional rollercoaster that never stops. But you know what? That's okay. We're all in this together, andthat's what makes middle school so special. We're all just trying to navigate this crazy ride and come out the other side in one piece. The Bottom LineSo, there you have it – a day in the life of a middle schooler. It's chaotic, it's emotional, and it's definitely not for the faint of heart. But you know what? I wouldn't trade it for anything.篇6My Thoughts on Solving World HungerHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 12 years old. Today I want to share my thoughts on a really big problem in our world - hunger. It's something that makes me feel really sad when I think about how many kids and families don't have enough food to eat.I first learned about world hunger in my social studies class last year. My teacher told us that there are millions of people, even young kids just like me, who go to bed hungry almost every night because they don't have access to sufficient nutritious food. Can you imagine not having any dinner tonight or breakfasttomorrow morning? For many people around the world, that's just their normal life. It's hard for me to wrap my head around. At first, I didn't really understand how this could be possible. With all the farms, grocery stores, and restaurants everywhere, how could there possibly be food shortages? But then I realized that things aren't so simple. Lots of factors like poverty, war, natural disasters, and lack of resources prevent food from getting to the people who desperately need it most. Just because there's food being produced doesn't mean it automatically ends up on everyone's plates. After learning these sad facts, I couldn't stop thinking about all those hungry children and families. It haunted me for weeks. How could the world allow so many of its people to starve and suffer from malnutrition? Didn't we have enough food overall to feed everyone if it was distributed better? These plaguing questions really started to bother me.That's when I decided that world hunger was something I wanted to take action against, even if I'm just one kid. I started doing lots of research and reading about potential solutions that could help get food to the hungriest parts of the world. Here are some of the main ideas I learned about:First, we need to reduce food waste - Did you know that roughly one third of the food produced globally for human consumption gets lost or wasted? That's crazy! Imagine if we could salvage all those wasted resources and redirect them to areas with food scarcity. Businesses, schools, restaurants, and even families like mine need to get better at meal planning, portioning, storing food properly, and reusing leftovers or donating extra food instead of just throwing it away.We should also invest more in small-scale agriculture and sustainable farming practices, especially in developing countries. This would empower local communities to grow more of their own crops reliably. Using smart irrigation systems, greenhouses, and other modern technologies could help immensely. It's important too that farmers learn eco-friendly techniques to protect the environment that yields their food.Another thing I think could make a big difference is improving transportation routes and storage facilities to help deliver more fresh food from where it's grown to where it's needed most. Maybe creating seed banks regionally could help as well. And of course, continuing to provide emergency airdrops of food, medical supplies, and other essentials during extreme crises will remain crucial. On an individual level, I've started raising money here and there by doing chores, running lemonade stands, and asking for donations on my birthday instead of gifts. Every few months I send whatever I've saved to reputable charities that have a proven track record of responsibly distributing food aid and agricultural training around the world. It makes me feel like I'm doing my small part.My biggest dream though is that one day, every country will consider access to food a basic human right and make it a top priority to ensure none of their citizens go hungry, especially kids. No child should have to experience the pain of an empty stomach or suffer the terrible effects of malnutrition and stunt their growth and development over something that feels so solvable. Fresh water and food should be automatic fundamentals of life that everyone is entitled to.Solving world hunger won't be easy and will require cooperation across nations, businesses, organizations, and everyday people. But I really believe it CAN be done if we work hard, use science and technology smartly, and all chip in however we can. Having reliable access to nutritious food is a fundamental need - how can we as a global society call ourselvesadvanced if we can't figure out how to properly nourish our own people?I know I'm just a kid and maybe these are silly idealistic thoughts. But I can't help feeling passionate about wanting to take action to fix this crisis. Just imagining children going days without any food makes my heart hurt. I'm determined to keep learning, raising awareness, and saving every penny I can to support organizations fighting hunger. Every meal I get to enjoy is one that I wish all kids around the world could share. Working towards a solution to this worldwide issue will remain one of my biggest goals. Food is life - let's make sure that gift is available to everyone, everywhere.。

From a young age, we are taught to value the opinions of others. We are told to listen to our elders, our teachers, and our peers. We are also told to be respectful of other cultures and their beliefs. However, there comes a time when we must form our own opinions and learn to think for ourselves. This can be a difficult process, but it is an important one. There are many factors that can influence our opinions. Our experiences, our education, and our culture all play a role in shaping our worldview. However, it is important to remember that our opinions are not set in stone. They can change over time as we learn new things and experience new things. It is also important to remember that our opinions are not always right. We may hold an opinion that is based onincomplete or inaccurate information. We may also hold an opinion that is simply biased or prejudiced. It is important to be open to new information and to be willing to change our opinions when necessary.Forming our own opinions is a difficult but important part of growing up. It is a process that requires critical thinking, open-mindedness, and a willingness to learn. However, it is a process that is ultimately rewarding. When we form our own opinions, we become more independent and self-reliant. We also become more tolerant of the opinions of others.

In today's digital era, social media has become an integral part of our lives, connecting billions of people across the globe. From sharing daily updates to expressing opinions on various issues, social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have revolutionized the way we interact and communicate. However, the impact of social media on modern society is multifaceted, with both positive and negative aspects. On the positive side, social media has enabled unprecedented access to information and knowledge. People can easily stay updated on global events, learn new things, and connect with experts and mentors in their fields of interest. It has also provided a powerful platform for activism and awareness-raising, allowing individuals to share their voices and stories, and mobilize support for important causes. Moreover, social media has fostered new forms of creativity and expression. Artists, writers, and creators can showcase their talents and reach a wider audience than ever before. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok have givenrise to a new generation of content creators, who have transformed the way we consume media and entertainment. However, the negative impacts of social media are also apparent. One significant concern is the rise of cyberbullying and online harassment. Social media allows anonymous users to bully, intimidate, or harass others without facing real-world consequences. This can have devastating effects on victims' mental health and well-being.Another concern is the rise of fake news and misinformation. With the proliferation of social media, it has become easier for unverified and false information to spread rapidly, leading to confusion, misunderstanding, and even real-world consequences such as the spread of harmful rumors or the mobilization of extremists.Additionally, social media addiction has become a serious issue, especially among younger users. Constant scrolling and engagement with social media can lead to addiction, affecting individuals' mental health, academic performance, and social relationships. To mitigate these negative impacts, it is crucial for individuals, communities, and governments to take responsible actions. Firstly, individuals should be mindful of their online behavior and avoid engaging in cyberbullying or the spread of misinformation. They should also limit their social media use and seek balance in their lives.Secondly, communities and organizations should promote digital literacy and media education, helping people understand the nature and impact of social media and equipping them with the skills to use it responsibly. This includes teaching people how to identify fake news, manage their online privacy, and build healthy online relationships.Lastly, governments should regulate social media platforms to ensure they comply with laws and ethical standards. This includes enforcing anti-bullying laws, regulating the spread of misinformation, and protecting users' privacy and data security. In conclusion, social media has brought about significant changes in modern society, with both positiveand negative impacts. It is crucial for us to recognize these impacts and take responsible actions to mitigate the negative ones while leveraging the positive potential of social media for personal growth, social progress, and global connectivity.**社交媒体对现代社会的影响:一个平衡的视角** 在当今的数字时代,社交媒体已经成为我们生活中不可或缺的一部分,将全球数十亿人连接在一起。

Title: My Perspective on the Rising Popularityof Online LearningIn recent years, the trend of online learning has witnessed a remarkable surge, particularly among students of junior high school age. This shift from traditional classroom settings to virtual learning environments has sparked a wide range of opinions and discussions. As a student of this generation, I believe that the increasing popularity of online learning is a reflection of the evolving educational landscape and technological advancements.Firstly, the convenience of online learning is undeniable. With the internet at our fingertips, students can access educational resources from anywhere, anytime. This flexibility allows for a more personalized learning experience, catering to individual needs and schedules. Whether it's reviewing a lesson after school or taking an extra course during the weekends, online learning offers unprecedented freedom and choice. Moreover, online learning platforms often provide interactive features that engage students and enhance theirlearning experience. Through virtual simulations, discussions, and collaborative projects, students can explore topics in a more dynamic and immersive way. This active learning approach not only improves retention but also fosters a deeper understanding of the subject matter. However, the rise of online learning is not without its challenges. One significant concern is the potential for distractions. The online environment, filled with social media and other temptations, can be a significant hurdlefor students who struggle with focus. Additionally, the lack of face-to-face interaction with teachers and peers can sometimes lead to a sense of isolation, affecting learning motivation and social development.Despite these challenges, I believe that the benefits of online learning outweigh the drawbacks. The key is to strike a balance between the convenience and effectiveness of virtual classrooms while addressing the associated issues. Teachers and parents play a crucial role in this regard, guiding students to navigate the online learning space responsibly and productively. In conclusion, the rising popularity of online learning represents a significant evolution in education. It offers unparalleled convenience and personalization, along with enhanced learning experiences through interactive features. While challenges such as distractions and isolation persist, these can be mitigated through proper guidance and support. As we continue to embrace technological advancements, online learning will likely become an increasingly integral part of our educational journey.**对在线学习日益普及的看法**近年来,在线学习的趋势见证了显著的增长,尤其是在初中生中。

No pains, no gains. I believe I can!Best wishes1Yours,Li Hua

Books are betterBooks or TV? I prefer books because books have more advantages than TV.First, books are easy to carry. They don’t need electricity. We can read them almost anywhere, such as in the park,on a train, or even at a street corner. Second, when we read, our writing skills can be improved. Besides, books can be kept for a long time. If we think one book is interesting , we can read it over and over again. Books also help us think deeply. While we are reading, we may ask ourselves questions.Knowledge is power. Let’s spend more time in reading. The more we read, the more knowledge we will get.
