1、Recently a Beijing information company did a survay of student working part-time among

more than 700 students in Beijing, Guangzhou, Xi’an, Chengdu, Shanghai, Wuhan, and Nanjing. The results have shown that 55 percent of students think that working part-time is beneficial while the rest consider it a waste of time. What do you think?

通过审题可以看出，本作文的话题有关学生做兼职，这个话题并不生僻，每个考生都能说上几句，这是典型的专四的命题模式。但关键之处在于要按照题目的要求把自己的意见用规范的语言有条理地表达出来。题目已经规定了作文的结构——三段式：第一段表明观点；第二段展开论述；第三段推及一般或总结

范文第一段先是简单转述了题目中所给的情景，引出话题，紧接着就抛出了自己的观点：兼职不但能减少父母的负担，而且能提高我们时间管理的能力，尤为重要的是兼职为我们以后找工作也大有帮助。在作文的论述部分，就针对在首段所提出的三个方面的观点进行论述。每个方面只有短短两三句话，但表达非常清楚，而且有条理。在结尾段，总结并强调了自己的观点，结尾自然。

整篇作文并没有用特别华丽和新奇的词汇，但结构非常清晰，论证也很充分，不失为一篇好文章。

Let’s have part-time job

According to a recent survey, 55 percent of students in major cities think working part-time is beneficial while the rest consider it a waste of time. In my opinion, part time jobs cannot only help us reduce our parent’s financial burden, but also offers us an opportunity to improve our time-management capacity, more importantly it prepares us for future job hunting.

First of all, we can manage to support ourselves through working part-time, be it tutoring or other public services industries which college students can have easy access to.

We can learn to be independent and understand the hardship our parents have undergone to give us a better life. Second, there is no denying that doing part-time jobs will take us some time and presumably our study hours will have to be reduced. But it on the other hand requires us to improve our efficiency. Last but not least important, the experience of working part-time enables us to practice what we have learned in the textbook and gain a better understanding of it.

In a word, having a part-time job while studying is beneficial to our school life and future career. Therefore, university students should embrace the opportunities and improve themselves.

第一段仅用了两句话完成了任务；第一句引入话题，第二句表明观点，喜欢在家吃饭，第二段从三个方面做了论述，结尾段总结观点。整篇范文用词贴切，条理清晰，可以用作模仿。

I Prefer Eating at Home

Some people like to eat out at food stands and restaurants, while others like to prepare food at home. In my case, I believe it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home.

First of all, while eating in restaurants is fast, the money you spend can add up. It ususally costs over twenty dollars for a teo-person meal at a restaurant. And actually I can buy a lot of groceries with that sum of money. Second, eating at home is good for our health.

Meals at restaurants are often high in fat and calories, and they serve in big plates- much more food than we need. If we cook food at home, we can have more control over the ingredients. Third, it is true that eating out is convenient. But real home cooking doesn’t have to take a lot of time. There are lots of simple meals that are not time-consuming at all.

In fact, they’re faster than eating out, especially if you think of the time you spend driving to

a restaurant, parking, waiting for a table, waiting for service, and driving home.

Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satistying. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health considerations.

3、Study abroad is popular with the student. What’s your view on this phenomena.

Benefits of Studying Abroad

Nowadays studying abroad has come into a fashion. Each year thousands of students and scholars fly to foreign countries. Many people are keen on going abroad, especially to America, Canada, Australia, and Japan. Thus the numbers of people who take GRE, TOFEL, IELTS are also on the increase.

Attending schools abroad has a lot of benefits. At the beginning, many foreign universities can offer better study conditions and have more advanced teaching equipments, so we can learn much more advanced knowledge of science and technology. Moreover, students who study abroad have the chance to get in touch with people from various countries; hence they can serve as mediators between peoples of different cultures so as to promote international understanding. Last but not least important, international vision has become a basic equipment for career building and studying abroad can certainly contribute to it.

However, studying abroad also present some disadvantages. Living cost is so high that many students can not put all the heart into study.In spite of this, the advantages overweigh disadvantages. So it is recommendable to study abroad but the most important is that we should make contribution to our motherland after we finish our study.
