摘要

园林植物在园林建设中起着巨大的作用，植物不但有美化环境的功能，还有改善环境生态因子的作用，尤其对局部小气候的改善作用极大，对恶劣的环境因子能起到防护作用，因而对人们产生良好的保健效果。此外，植物还具有创造财富的生产功能，在园林中只要运用经营得当，对园林建设亦可起到促进作用。由于植物是活的生命体，随着一年四季的变化，即使同一地点也会表现出不同的景色，形成各异的情趣。植物本身就是大自然的艺术品，它的枝、叶、花、果、根、芽、形姿，均具有无比的魅力。

随着我国园林行业的发展和人们物质文化水平的提高，人们对生活环境质量的要求日益提高，作为构成园林核心要素之一的植物造景也越来越受到人们的重视。其中植物的季相变化是造景的重要方面，尤其是秋季最为显著。在园林植物里，主要是利用秋色叶植物和彩色叶植物来营造秋季景观。除此之外，秋果和秋花的植物也可以用来营造秋季景观。
