Cycle life5.1 Cycle life performance5.1.1 The cell can be charged/discharged repeatedly up to times specified inthe produce specification with a certain level of capacity also specifiedin the product specification.5.1.2 Cycle life may be determined by conditions of charging, discharging,operating temperature and/or storage.6. Design of System6.1 Connection between the cell and the battery6.1.1 The cell should not be soldered directly with leads. Namely, the cellshould be welded with leads on its terminal and then be soldered withwire or leads to soldered lead.6.1.2 Otherwise, it may cause damage of component, such as separator andinsulator, by heat generation.6.2 Positioning the battery in the System6.2.1 The battery should be positioned as possible as far from heat sourcesand high temperature components.6.2.2 Otherwise, it may cause loss of characteristics.6.3 Mechanical shock protection of the battery6.3.1 The battery should be equipped with appropriate shock absorbers in order tominimize shock.6.3.2 Otherwise, it may cause shape distortion, leakage, heat generationand/or rupture.6.4 Short-circuit protection of the cell6.4.1 The cell is equipped with an insulating sleeve to protect short-circuit whichmay occur during transportation, battery assembly and /or systemoperation.6.4.2 If the cell sleeve is damaged by some causes such as outside impact,it may cause short-circuit with some wiring inside the battery.6.5 Connection between the battery and charger/system6.5.1 The battery should be designed to be connected only to the specifiedcharger and system.6.5.2 A reverse connection of the battery, even in the specified system,should be avoided by employing special battery design such asa special terminals.7. Battery Pack Assembly7.1 Prohibition of usage of damaged cell7.1.1 The cell should be inspected visually before battery assembly.7.1.2 The cell should not be used if sleeve-damage, can-distortion and/orelectrolyte-smell is detected.7.2 Transportation7.2.1 If the cell is necessary to transport to order place, such as thebattery manufacturer, careful precautions should be taken to avoiddamage of cell.8. Others8.1 Disassembly8.1.1 The cell should not be dismantled from the battery pack.8.1.2 Internal short-circuit caused by disassembly may lead to heat generationand/or venting.8.1.3 When the electrolyte is coming in contact with the skin or eyes,wash immediately with fresh water and seek medical advice.8.2 Short-circuiting8.2.1 Short-circuit results in very high current which leads to heat generation.8.2.2 An appropriate circuitry should be employed to protect accidentalshort-circuiting.8.3 Incineration8.3.1 Incinerating and disposing of the cell in fire are strictly prohibited,because it may cause rupture.8.4 Immersion8.4.1 Soaking the cell in water is strictly prohibited, because it may causemelt of components to damaged to functions.8.5 Mixing use8.5.1 Different types of cell, or same types but different manufacturer's cellmay lead to cell rupture or damage to system due to the differentcharacteristics of cell.8.6 Battery disposal8.6.1 Although the cell contains no environmentally hazardous component,such as lead or cadmium. the battery should be disposed according tothe local regulations when it is disposed.8.6.2 The cell should be disposed with a discharged state to avoid heat generationby an inadvertent short-circuit.8.7 Caution - The Battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn ifmistreated. Do not disassemble, heat above 100℃or incinerate. Replacebattery with Samsung SDI battery only. Use of another battery may present a riskof fire or explosion. Dispose of used battery promptly. 项 1. 短路 目 测试方法 标 准 电池通过导线短路正负极,导线总电阻不大于 50 不漏液、不冒烟、 m,当电池温度下降到比峰值低约 10℃时,结束 不爆炸;电池外 试验。 部温度不高于 150℃ 将完全充电的电池连接电芯正负极于一恒流恒压 不起火、爆炸 电源, 调节电流至 1C5A 电压为 5V, 然后对电芯进 行充电,直到电芯电压达到最大输出电压后,再持 续充电 7h。 试验过程中监视电芯温度变化, 当电芯 温度下降到比峰值低约 10℃,结束试验。 电池以 0.2C5A 放电至 2.75V, 然后在正负极之间接 不起火、不爆炸 上 30Ω电阻,放置 24h,观察电芯外观。 将 完 全 充 电 电 池 放 置 于 热 箱 中 , 温 度 以 不起火、不爆炸 5℃±2℃/min 的速率升至 130℃±2℃并保温 30min。 将完全充电电池放置于冲击台上,1 根 18.5mm 的 不起火、不爆炸 棒十字交叉放在样品的国心位置上,将 9.1kg 重锤 自 61cm 高度跌落在样品上。 将完全充电电池放置在两个平面间进行挤压, 挤压 不起火、不爆炸 力通过一直径为 1.25 英寸(32mm)活塞的液压活塞 施加,挤压持续直至压力达到 17.2Mpa,施加的挤 压力为 13KN, 当达到最大压力即可卸压。 圆柱型和 方形电芯在进行挤压试验时, 应使其纵轴方向与挤 压平面平行。

(5)Recovery capacity: After a specific testing program,and through the repeatedly charging and discharging to the recovery state, then the discharge capacity of battery.恢复容量:电池经过特定的检测程序后,通过反复充放电使状态恢复后的放电容量。

4.0 CHARACTERISTICS电池性能4.1 Electrochemical Performance电化学性能4.1.1 Discharge Characteristics (Room Temperature) 常温放电性能Test Method: At standard atmospheric pressure, ambient temperature 25℃±5℃, relative humidity 45%~80%(The following if no specific instructions are all in these conditions, according to this charging ways), after 0.5 C5A standard charged, rest for 15min and then discharge at 0.2C5A, 0.5C5A, 1C5A and 2C5A to the discharge cut-off voltage 2.75V respectively. Charge/discharge cycle can be conducted for 3 times before meeting the Standards(the same below).测试方法:在1标准大气压,环境温度25℃±5℃,相对湿度为45%~80%的条件下,电池0.5C标准充电后(以下若没有特别说明,均在此条件下放置,皆按此充电方式),搁置10min,分别以0.2C5A、0.5C5A、1C5A、2C5A进行放电至下限电压2.75V,循环三次,当有一次达到标准,即达到标准要求(下同)。

Store for 28 days after standard charged, tested the final condition of battery. Then discharge at 0.5C5A to the discharge cut-off voltage 2.75V, tested the residual capacity of battery. 0.5C5A /0.5 C5A tested the recovery capacity of battery.Charge/discharge cycle can be conducted for3 times before meeting the Standards.测试方法:测量电池的初始状态和初始容量,电池标准充电后,开路放置30天,测量电池最终状态;以0.5C5A 放电至2.75V,测量电池的剩余容量;0.5C/0.5C测量电池的恢复容量。

Standard:Residual capacity ≥ Nominal capacity *80%标准:容量≥标称容量*80%4.1.4 Long Time Storage贮存性能Test Method: Charged to the voltage of 3.80±0.02V, before storage, measured the initial condition and initial capacity of battery. Store for 3 months, 6 months, 12 months at room temperature, measured the final condition of battery. Then conduct 0.5 C5A /0.2 C5A cycle for 3 times to record the discharge time of the battery.测试方法:测量电池的初始容量,电池充电至3.80±0.02V后,测量电池存储前的初始状态,分别室温贮存3个月、6个月、12个月后,测量电池的最终状态,然后以0.5C/0.2C循环3次记录电池的放电时间。

Standard:The discharge time of 0.2C5A:Storage 3 months of battery≥4.5h;Storage 6 months of battery≥4.25h;Storage 12 months of battery≥4h.标准:0.2C5A放电时间贮存3个月的电池≥4.5h;贮存6个月的电池≥4.25h;贮存12个月的电池≥4h。

4.2 Safety Performance安全性能4.2.1 Overcharge过充性能Test Method: Standard charge. Charge at 1 C5A to 10V, then change to charge with constant voltage till the current less than or equal to 0.01 C5A. Observe the variation of the bat tery’s appearance and temperature.测试方法:电池标准充电后,测量电池的初始状态, 保证电池状态正常(下同),以1 C5A电流充电至4.8V,然后转恒压充电至截至电流0.01C5A时终止, 观察电池的温度及外观变化。
