Cindy’s Surprising Acne

Cindy was really upset. Earlier in this morning, before she got dressed to go to school, she found a super obviously red acne on the tip of her nose.

It was true that Cindy was a beautiful girl, but no one, no one can ever survive a horribly ugly acne, especially on her once-in-a-life-time 16-year-old birthday at school. Don’t even mention that she was going to take the pre-selection of the Campus Singing Contest at noon, whose judge was the hottest and most talented senior student, William, her crush since junior one.

When Cindy got into her classroom, a few girls giggled. And Tony the naughty boy yelled out “Hey Cindy, nice try for a birthday present!” It was delightful for a plain girl to know somebody remembered her birthday, but not by Tony, not in this humiliating way. The selection contest was getting closer as time went by. And Cindy was worried, plus she could not stand the humiliation in the classroom any so she went out to the washroom to clean herself up. After a handful of water and a sprinkle to the face, Cindy felt better. But when she opened her eyes again, something unbelievable happened. There was a tiny girl, sitting on Cindy’s acne.

Cindy could not believe her eyes, but then the tiny girl started talking: “Hi Cindy! I’m your acne fairy. Don’t worry, I am sent by angel as a birthday present to help you out from all of your troubles. And...oops!” A classmates suddenly went in and the little fairy hided immediately inside the red swollen acne. Cindy was stunned with awe.

Finally the classmate went out and Cindy pinched her face to believe the truth,

the acne fairy came out again from a little window of Cindy’s acne.

“Firstly you need a dress, to impress the Prince Charming William.” said the fairy, “Go get your rainbow-colored dress in your school closet, and pick the song that you love the most, You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift.” Cindy was stunned: “What? But...wait, how do you know all this?”

Before Cindy could continue her questions, the noon bell rang, and it was time

for the pre-selection contest. Cindy rushed to her closet , changed her dress in the washroom, so quickly that little acne fairy almost fell off from her nose.

“You can make it,” the acne fairy said when she accompanied Cindy waiting backstage, “I know from the deep of my heart that you are special.” Cindy was touched. With great sense of support and encouragement on stage, she sang so well, with surprising echo from William, and passed the pre-selection with no doubt.

Cindy was so happy that she accidentally fell off the stage, then she woke, it was still at a class, and Tony was talking to her in a low voice: “Wake up, Cindy! You have slept for a whole morning’s lessons!”
