1. Planting Location and time 种植地和种植时间
Tulips need light to grow properly, so a location in the sun or half shade is preferred. 郁金香的正常生长需要阳光，所以最好选择全光照或者半荫的地方进行种植。

2. Soil Preparation 土壤准备

We suggest to loosen the soil by ploughing or digging for about 30 cm deep. 我们建议疏松30厘米深的土层，可以通过犁地或者挖掘的方式。
Then dig each bulb in the soil with a small hand shovel 10-15 cm deep. 然后使用小铲子铲出10-15厘米深的小坑，将种球放置进去。

2. Soil Preparation 土壤准备
The planting of tulips first begins with a good preparation of the flower bed and soil. 种植郁金香之前首先要提前准备好花坛和土壤。
It is very important that soil has sufficient drainage capacity: 非常重要的一点是土壤的排水性能足够好： 1) Soil needs to be loose enough, preferably mix the soil with rive sand to make it loose.
Spacing: about 1 bulb space between two bulbs (10-12cm). 种球间距：每两颗种球之间的间距大约是一个种球的宽度（10-12厘米）。

土壤要足够的疏松，最好可以将土壤与河沙混合，来是土质变得疏松。 2) Noted: Soil should not be too clayish. Clayish soil will result in bad drainage, by which the (rain)water
cannot drain through the soil and excess water will remain in the top layer, which could cause the bulbs and roots to drown and rot. 注意：土壤不可以黏性过高。黏性过高的土壤排水性能很差，（雨）水不容易从土壤中排出， 会导致多余的水分会聚积在土层表面，从而导致种球及其根系缺氧和腐烂。

Planting depth: should be about 15 cm. 种球的种植深度: 约15厘米。
Planting density: For a good effect you can plant between 60 to 100 bulbs per square meter. 种植密度：为了良好的景观效果，建议种植60-100颗种球每平米。
Tulips need to be planted before the first frost kicks in, and should be planted as soon as possible after receiving them. 郁金香必须在第一次霜冻开始前种植，也最好在收到种球后尽快种植。
After planting, even the soil and if it is not raining, water the soil only one time, after that let nature take over. Do not use pesticides or fertilizer 种植完成后，平整土地。如果没有自然降雨，种植完后进行一次浇水，然后就可以放心 让大自然进行天然的养护。不要使用杀虫剂或肥料。
If there is a chance of severe frost, cover the flower bed with straw or mulch, to prevent freezing of the soil. 如果可能发生严重的霜冻，用稻草或其他覆盖物盖住花坛，以此预防土壤冻结。
Just spread the bulbs around the area, with the pointy end up, and do not plant them in rows, because you can see through the flowers, which do not create a good visual effect. 将种球分布在花坛中，种球尖的一段朝上，不要将它们成行种植。成行种植在开花是容易看到花朵 之前的土壤，景观效果不佳。
Don‘t store them too long (plant before mid-December in Shanghai). If you have to store the bulbs do this is in a dark, cool (below 18℃) and well ventilated room. 不要储存太长时间（在上海12月中旬之前种植）。如果必须储存，请将种球放置在黑暗 ，凉爽（18℃以下），通风良好的室内。
