That just adds to their adorable factor in my opinion.But looks aren't everything. Pandas also have some awesome behaviors and traits that make them amazing. Despite being bears, pandas are incredibly gentle creatures. They are vegetarians and eat mostly bamboo. I watched a video once of a panda just casually munching on bamboo while rolling around on its back. It was the cutest thing! Pandas spend a lot of their day eating since bamboo doesn't have many nutrients. But they also sleep up to 14 hours every day. What a life! They mostly just eat and sleep all day, lounging around in trees. I wish I could do that.Pandas give birth to the tiniest, most adorable babies too. A newborn panda is only about the size of a stick of butter! The babies are pink and hairless when they're born. They're completely helpless at first and have to be cared for by their mother. After about a month, they finally start to develop their black and white fur. At that point, they just look like little fluff balls. I've seen so many cute pictures and videos of baby pandas online. They make me so happy!Not only are pandas super cute and gentle, but they are also really smart. Scientists have found that pandas have brains that are actually relatively large for their body size. This means they are quite intelligent for a bear species. Pandas are resourceful and adapt well to their environments. They have excellent memories and can even recognize different symbols and characters. Some of them have even been trained to help out at panda reserves. How cool is that?Unfortunately, pandas are an endangered species due to habitat loss from deforestation and farming. This makes me really sad. The thought of pandas disappearing from the world forever breaks my heart. I really hope that won't happen and that people will work hard to protect these special creatures. If pandas did go extinct, it would be an incredible loss.There are organizations all over the world dedicated to panda conservation. Many of them raise money to help fund panda reserves and national parks in China. Some groups also work on educating people about the importance of protecting pandas and their habitats.
