1. Views can be associative (linked to 3D parts) or Unassociative (unlinked from a 3D part).

What is a Drawing?
A Drawing Document file has extension CATDrawing and is identified by the file extension.
CATDrawing file extension
A CATDrawing file has a structure which lists all the sheets and views contained in the document.
