Two men are drinking beer at the same bar. One is a Scotsman and the other is an Irishman. The Scotsman offers to buy the Irishman a drink. When they are drinking, they are watching a special programme on television -- the Americans are getting ready to send their first men to the moon. When the Scotsman sees this, he says to the Irishman, The Americans are very clever, aren't they? They are going to send some men to the moon. It's a very long way from our world."

"Oh, that's nothing, " the Irishman answers quickly. "The Irish are going to send some men to the sun in a few months' time. That's much farther away than the moon, you know."

The Scotsman gets a big surprise when he hears this. " Oh, yes, it is, " he says, "but the sun's too hot for people to go to."
