临夏概况OVERVIEW OF LINXIA

临夏地处中国西北地区、甘肃省西南部，是临夏回族自治州州委、州政府所在地，也是全州政治、经济和文化中心，距省会

兰州117公里，属兰州一小时经济圈范畴。市域东与临夏回族自治州东乡族自治县接壤，南西北与临夏回族自治州临夏县毗邻，四

面环山。

临夏历史悠久，人杰地灵。历史上是古丝绸之路的南道重镇，曾称为枹罕、河州，素有“茶马互市”、西部“旱码头”和“河

湟雄镇”之称，有“中国小麦加”、“花儿之乡”、“彩陶之乡”和“牡丹之乡”之称。

LANZHOU is located in the northwest of China and the southwest of Gans u Province. It is the location of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture Party committee and state government, as well as the political, economic and cultural center of the whole Prefecture. It is 117 kilometers away from the provincial capital Lanzhou and belongs to the one hour economic circle of Lanzhou. The city borders Dongxiang Autonomous County of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture in the East, Linxia County of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture in the northwest and south, surrounded by mountains.

Linxia has a long history and outstanding people. Historically, it is an important town along the southern route of the ancient Silk Road, once called Wuhan and Hezhou, known as the "tea horse market", the "dry dock" and "Hehuang town" in

the west, and also known as the "wheat Canada of China", "the hometown of flowers", "the hometown of painted pottery" and "the hometown of peony".
