He said that he liked English.I know where he went last night.He wondered if/whether I would attend the meeting tomorrow.一. 宾语从句的连接词: 连接词 引导词的作用 例句that本身无意义,只起连接作用,口语中可省略 I think (that) he is the best one to do thejob. who, what, which, whose,whom, when, where, why,how, whenever, wherever,however, whatever,whichever, whoever,whomever 等引导词在从句中作一定的成分,如主语、宾语、定语、 状语等 Can you tell me how I can get to the post office? That 只有语法作用,没有实在的意义,在口语和非正式文体中可以省略。

If 和whether 在句中的意思是“是否”、“是不是”。

例:I want to know if /whether he lives there.He asked me whether/if I could help him.★一般情况下,if 和whether可以互换,但以下3种情况只能用whether:①在不定式前:Whether to go there or not hasn’t been decided.②在介词后:It depends on(依靠) whether it is going to rain.③与or not连用:They are talking about whether to go there or not.第二关:语序关宾语从句的语序应为陈述句的语序,即:主语+谓语,去除助动词并还原动词时态.例:I think (that) you will like this school soon.Please tell me when we’ll have the meeting.I asked when he left last night.趁热打铁:1. How can I get to the station?→Can you tell me _________________________________你能告诉我怎样去车站吗2. What does he like?→I wonder _____________________. 我想知道他喜欢什么。

3. Where were you born→He asked me ________________________.他问我出生的地方。

★语序不变:1. 当matter指“出什么事情”时,不需要调整结构:He asked me what was the matter. = He asked me what was wrong.他问我出了什么事。

(此时what是做主语成分,即句子结构是一个陈述句)注意:当matter是名词“物质”的含义时,要调整陈述句的结构。

He asked me what the matter was. 他问我那是什么物质。

2. She wants to know what happened yesterday .(what是主语,不需要调整结构)My mother asks me who is playing basketball outside .(who 是主语,不需要调整结构)第三关:时态关宾语从句的时态:主现从不限,主过从必过,客观真理永一现。

1. 如果主句的时态是一般现在时,宾语从句该用什么时态就用什么时态。

(主现从不限)例:I don’t think (that) you are right.Please tell us where he was last night.Can you tell me when he will arrive at the railway station?2.如果主句的时态是一般过去时,宾语从句只能用相应的过去时态,即:一般过去时,过去进行时,过去将来时,过去完成时。

(主过从必过)例:He asked what time it was.He told me that he was preparing for the sports meet.He asked if you had written to Peter.He said that he would go back to the U.S. soon.3.如果宾语从句所陈述的是客观真理或事实,其时态要用一般现在时,此时不受主句时态的影响。

(客观真理永一现)例:Our teacher said that January is the first month of the year.Scientists have proved that the earth turns around the sun.重难点难点一:宾语从句的否定转移在think, consider, believe, suppose, expect, fancy 等动词后的宾语从句,如有否定意思,一般要把否定词前移到主句的语上,从句的谓语用肯定的形式。

e.g. I don’t think he can do it better than me. 我想他不会干得比我好。

I don’t believe they have finished their work yet. 我相信他们还未完成他们的工作。

I don’t suppose he cares, does he我想他不会在意的,是吗?难点二:if的双重身份If 可以引导宾语从句和条件状语从句,在宾从中,翻译成“是否”,在状语从句中,译成“如果”。

e.g. She has forgotten when she arrived at the cinema.→She has forgotten when to arrive at the cinema.She doesn’t know what she will do tomorrow.→She doesn’t know what to do tomorrow.2. 当主句谓语动词是tell, ask, show, teach等动词,且后带双宾语,从句主语和间接宾语一致时,宾语从句可简化为“疑问词 + 不定式”结构。
