Jim Fixx had been a heavy smoker and weighed 214 pounds when he took up(开始从事) running in the 1960s. He soon reaped (收割者)the benefits from running. “Running does have its shortcomings,” Acknowledges(承认) heart specialist Paul Thomas, in a recent medical journal. “The impact(影响) can be hard on your knees.
