Align/Distribute objects
Create new objects or text boxes
Keep format when copying text from other documents
Transfer format from one object to another
Keep the Shift key pressed while moving an object

Vertical left: Horizontal top: Top of sub-headline text box:

Please copy existing ones
Mark the text you want to overwrite, paste new text in, a symbol appears next to the text box, click on it and choose “Keep Text Only” or “Keep Source Formatting”
1. Click right mouse button (outside of the slide) -> Grid and Guides -> Guide settings -> Display drawing guides on screen.
2. A horizontal and a vertical guide appears in the center of the slide. (To move guides, ideally select them outside the content area of the slide.)
Shortcuts
Keep the Alt key pressed while scaling
Right mouse click on image -> Format Picture -> Picture -> Compress -> Apply to: choose “Selected pictures” or “All pictures in the document” -> Change resolution: web/screen

Guides
To define the maximum working space per slide and to position content exactly, we suggesFra Baidu bibliotek to use guides. You can set them up via:
Group selected elements: Select objects & press Strg+Shift+G Copies a slide: Press Strg+D Selected word or text format changes into inverse: Select objects & press Strg+ I Underlines the selected word or text: Select objects & press Strg+U Selected word or text format changes into bold: Select objects & press Strg+ B

Scale images/objects without letting them snap to the grid Compress images
3. To position guide exactly, zoom the slide up to 400%. Move the guides while pressing the Alt key. Objects are placed correctly, when they snap to the grid. To create a new guide, keep Strg (or Ctrl) and Alt key pressed while moving.

Move objects precisely
Duplicate objects & move them precisely horizontally & vertically
Keep Strg (or Ctrl) and Shift key pressed while moving selected objects
Select elements to align or distribute them equally, choose option in: Draw -> Align or Distribute. For details see “How to…” section in Chart Library Help
Select object with the required format, select the brush in the tool bar & click on the object you want to transfer the format to. With a double click on the brush you can transfer the format to as many objects as you want
