Sample Network: Printer - HP Deskjet 3000, Operating System - MAC 10.10, Router - RT-N68U

1. Click System Preferences on your desktop.

2. Select Print & Fax.

3. To set up the printer connection, click the + icon inside the window.

4. Use these printer settings:

(1) In the Protocol box, select Line Printer Daemon-LPD.

(2) In the Address box, type the IP address of your ASUS router. By default, the ASUS router IP address is 192.168.1.1

(3) In the Queue box, type LPRServer.

(4) In the Use box, choose Select Software.

5. Follow these steps to install the printer's driver:

(1) In the search field, type the model name of your printer.

(2) Select the driver that matches your printer's model name.

(3) Click OK.

6. Check if the selected driver shows up inside the Use box, then click Add.

7. In the next window, check if the printer is displayed on the current list of printers.

* When printing a file, select 192.168.1.1 inside the Printer box.
