Write My Own Life
Having studied the course British and American literature, I knew many great foreign writers, from William Shakespeare to Charles Dickens , from Walter Whitman to Ernest Hemingway. They are all shining stars, who have wrote masterpieces to express themselves and their opinions, of the literature history. Mr. Hu always said that his purpose is to inspire our interests in literature, but I think I have gained more. I wondered that I do need to write something about my feeling. Yes , I should. I am twenty years now, and it’s time for me to think deeper about my life , my dream, and my future.
Suppose that a person he himself is a pen, and his whole life is the paper, What would that someone write about his life ? Would he write about Love ? Or hate? Fun? Or misery? Dream? Or desperate? Life? Or death? Everything?Or nothing?…Would he write just a few tentative words? Or to create a masterpiece that would last forever and make a difference to others ? How to write your own life means how to live you lifetime. Thanks to those poems and books , they give me a lot of inspirations and I realized what kind of life I want and how to write my own “ masterpiece”.
Chapter1 :About Life
“To be, or not to be: that is the question
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;

The question of death disturbs Hamlet, as he repeatedly cont emplates whether or not suicide is a proper action in an painfu l world. Hamlet’s grief and misery is such that he frequently te nd to death to end his suffering, but he fears that if he commit s suicide, he will be consigned to eternal suffering in hell . The n at last Hamlet concludes that no one would like to endure th e pain of life if he or she were not afraid of what will come af ter death. I remember a famous writer once said that : Life i s like an onion, you peel it off one layer at a time, and someti mes you weep. Yes, there is enough good and bad in ever yone’s life –-sorrow and happiness, joy and pain—and yo u have the rights to choose laugh or cry. Optimistic is th e necessity of life. The way you look at your life will dete rmine how you feel, how to live your life and how well yo u get along with others. That’s what this poem taught me . Chapter 2: About Study
“Studies serve for delight, for ornament, and for ability. Their chief use for delight is in privateness and retiring; for ornament, is in dis course; and for ability, is in the judgment and disposition of busine ss. For expert men can execute, and perhaps judge of particulars, o ne by one;
