Traffic jam
The-Traffic-Jam(交通拥挤)
As we know, the traffic jam has been one of the most serious problems which influence the quality of human’s life, in not only big cities but also small and medium sized cities. It’s common to be caught in a traffic jam especially in the rush hour nowadays. What leads to the situation? In my opinion, there are four reasons that cause the problem. First, as the economic develops, more and more people can afford the expense of their own cars. As a result, there are plenty of different kinds of cars on the roads. Therefore, it is easy to cause a traffic jam. Second, the situation results from the concept that people have. A lot of people think that car is a symbol of wealth and high social class. In consequence of this, people who even are not able to buy cars try their best to get cars. Third, the traffic regulations are not thorough enough and some traffic police can’t direct the traffic perfectly. At last but not least, there are part of people don’t come to realize the importance of obeying traffic rules. For instance, a driver drunk can easily have a car accident, which contributes to the traffic jam. Here are my suggestions on improving the traffic problem: our country must not only complete the traffic regulations that should include measures to deal with the emergency, but also appeal the meaning of obeying the traffic rules to the public; in the meanwhile, people are supposed to observe the traffic rules; also, green transportation which can reduce the air pollution and the number of cars ought to be encouraged;by the way, it is necessary to raise the standard of get a driver’s license, which can make contributions to warn people to be more careful and cautious when they are driving in the street. In brief, only if our country and our people work together can the traffic jam get improved. As the old saying goes, many hands make light work. In other words, individuals make a great difference together.Today, China is becoming more and more powerful and responsible in the world. At the same time, Chinese people are being of better and better quality. As far as I’m concerned, it is the strength and efforts of China and her people that can lead to the solution to the traffic jam. What I believe is that the traffic jam can be well solved in the near future..。

高中英语必修4Module 2 Traffic Jam 知识总结Traffic and PopulationAt 7 a.m.and 5 p.m.everyday,the rush hours(高峰时期),traffic is very heavy.People go to work on foot,by bus,or by bicycle in a hurry. This is a photograph(情景)we often see in big cities.Because the traffic is heavy, people have to waste more time on their way home or to work and even might be involved(被卷入)in an accident(意外事故).If you want to cross the street, you must be very careful and calm(镇静的),or you will be in danger. The reason why the traffic is heavy is that the population increases(增长)too quickly. On the other hand, the building of cities increases too slowly and the transportation is poor. Also the limitation(限制)of land is a disadvantage for the development(发展)of cities.People need land enough to work and live, and they also need enough land to grow food.In a word,if we want to have orderly(有序的)traffic and a comfortable life,we must control(控制)the population increase and solve(解决)traffic problems.Do you agree with above opinion? What’s your opinion? Some drivers:I agree with it.The traffic is too heavy because of the overpopulation. The citizens:The traffic is too bad because the drivers don’t obey the traffic rules. They often park(停车)their cars everywhere they like. Some teachers:The roads are too narrow, and the transportation(交通工具)is poor. Some little kids:Do not care too much about it.Myview:____________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________合作共赢Bikes are the most popular vehicles(交通工具)in China today. They do not use any fuel(燃料);they do not need a large parking lot(停车场);they can run on rough(崎岖的)narrow roads. It is said that about fifty percent of the people in our city go to work by bike. With every passing year, more and more bikes crowd our roads and streets. This has created(产生)a serious(严重的)problem as many accidents are caused(被引起)by bike riders who neglect traffic regulations (忽视交通规则).Bikes go along with motor vehicles(机动车).So the mixed traffic is still common. This,of course,is very dangerous. It is necessary for all the people obey the traffic rules(遵守交通规则).【任务导入】Organize a research on different types of transportation with your classmates.Divide the members into two groups, one group focuses on advantages(长处),the other one focuses on disadvantages(短处).Make a competition and show which group do better. Then work together to write a research report on different types of transportation.Make a chart like this. What are the advantages and disadvantages of different types of transportation?Transportation Advantages Disadvantagescar/busshipbicycleplane...【话题链接】Farmer and SnakeOne day,it is snowing hard.A farmer is coming home when he sees a snake numb with cold(冻僵)on the road.“Oh,little snake. Why don’t you stay at home in such cold weather(天气)?Look, you’re freezing. How poor you are!”The farmer says to himself.“What can I do for you?OK.I’ll put you under my clothes. It’s warm there.”He puts the snake inside his clothes just near his chest(胸膛).Some time later, the snake comes to life.It opens its mouth and bites at the farmer right at the chest.“Oh,my god!How cruel(残酷)you are!I saved you,but you bit me.Why?”he takes out the snake and throws it on the ground. But the farmer is already poisoned(中毒)and is dying(快死了).He says,“How silly(愚蠢的)I was!I take pity on him,but he bites me in return!”The story means that evil men cannot change their nature even if we are kind enoughto them.【想一想】It is a very famous story. What can you learn from it?What will you do if you happen to meet the same snake?___________________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________.。
trafficjam英语作文
trafficjam英语作文Traffic jam is a common problem in big cities. The rapid development of urbanization has led to increasing population and more vehicles on the road, causing traffic congestion during rush hours. There are several reasons for the traffic jam problem.Firstly, the lack of efficient public transportation is a major reason for traffic congestion. Many people choose to drive their own cars because public transportation is not convenient or reliable enough. As a result, the roads become crowded and lead to traffic congestion.Secondly, the inadequate road infrastructure adds to the problem. The roads in many cities are not designed to accommodate the increasing number of vehicles, leading to a bottleneck in traffic flow. Additionally, poor roadmaintenance and construction works further aggravate thetraffic congestion. Moreover, the behaviors of drivers also contribute totraffic jam. Many drivers ignore traffic rules and regulations, such as illegal parking, changing lanes without signaling, and disobeying traffic lights. These reckless driving behaviors disrupt the traffic flow and cause congestion on the roads. To address the issue of traffic jam, several measures can be taken. Firstly, the government should invest more inpublic transportation systems, such as subways, buses, and trains, to provide people with an alternative to driving. By providing efficient and affordable public transportation, the number of vehicles on the road can be reduced, easing traffic congestion.Secondly, the road infrastructure needs to be improved to accommodate the increasing number of vehicles. Widening roads, building new expressways, and optimizing traffic flow with modern technology can help alleviate traffic congestion and improve the overall traffic situation.Furthermore, strict enforcement of traffic rules and regulations is essential to prevent reckless drivingbehaviors that contribute to traffic jam. Implementing fines and penalties for traffic violations can deter drivers from disobeying traffic laws and ensure smoother traffic flow.In conclusion, traffic jam is a common problem in big cities, caused by the lack of efficient public transportation, inadequate road infrastructure, and reckless driving behaviors. To address this issue, the government shouldinvest in public transportation, improve road infrastructure, and enforce traffic rules to alleviate traffic congestion and create a more efficient traffic system. By implementing these measures, we can make our cities more livable and reduce the negative impact of traffic congestion on our daily lives.。

I mean, they make us late for school, make our parents stressed out, and are just a big hassle overall. But guess what? There are actually ways we can help solve this problem together. Let me tell you some of my ideas.First off, we can try carpooling with our friends and classmates. Instead of everyone taking their own car to school, we can all ride together in one car or even take turns driving. This way, there will be fewer cars on the road and less traffic.Another idea is to ride our bikes or walk to school if it's close enough. Not only is it good exercise, but it also helps reduce the number of cars on the road. Plus, we can enjoy some fresh air and sunshine on the way to school. We can also encourage our parents to use public transportation more often. Buses and trains are a great way to get around without adding to the traffic. Maybe we can even have a "take the bus to school" day once a week to promote this idea.Lastly, we can ask our city government to invest in better infrastructure, like more bike lanes, pedestrian paths, and efficient public transportation. This way, people will have more options for getting around and won't have to rely on their cars as much.So there you have it, friends. Let's all do our part to help solve traffic jams and make our daily commute smoother and less stressful. Together, we can make a difference!篇3Oh boy, traffic jams are the worst! Plus, it's way more fun to ride with our friends than sitting in traffic all alone, right?Secondly, we can bike or walk to school instead of always taking the car. Not only is it good for the environment, but it's also a great way to get some exercise. Plus, we won't have to worry about getting stuck in a traffic jam when we're on two wheels or walking on the sidewalk.Another idea is to take public transportation like buses or trains. They have special lanes just for them and can help reduce the number of cars on the road. Plus, it's a lot less stressful than driving in traffic and we can even catch up on our homework or read a book while we're on the bus. How cool is that? And last but not least, we can try to avoid driving during peak hours. That's when traffic jams are usually the worst. So, if we can schedule our activities or appointments at different times, we can avoid getting stuck in traffic and have a more relaxing drive. So there you have it, my friends! traffic-jam英语作文
traffic-jam英语作文It's a typical Monday morning rush hour, and I'm stuck in a traffic jam. Cars are bumper to bumper, inching along at a snail's pace. The honking of horns, the revving of engines, and the frustrated sighs of drivers fill the air.Looking around, I see people of all ages and backgrounds in their cars. Some are on their phones, others are eating breakfast, and a few are even putting on makeup. It's as if the car has become an extension of their home, with all the comforts and distractions that come with it.As the minutes tick by, I start to feel restless and claustrophobic. I can't help but wonder if there's a better way to get around. Maybe I should try biking or taking public transportation. But then again, that would mean giving up the convenience and comfort of my car.Suddenly, there's a break in the traffic and we start moving again. But our progress is short-lived as we come to another standstill. It's a never-ending cycle of stop and go, stop and go.Despite the frustration and inconvenience of being stuck in traffic, there's something oddly comforting about it. It's a shared experiencethat connects us all, regardless of our differences. We're all just trying to get from point A to point B, one car at a time.As the traffic finally starts to clear, I feel a sense of relief and accomplishment. I made it through another traffic jam, and I'm one step closer to my destination. But I know that there will be many more traffic jams to come, and I'll just have to take them in stride.。
traffic jam 英语作文
traffic jam 英语作文Title: Tackling Traffic Jams: Strategies for a Smoother Commute。
Introduction:Traffic congestion is a ubiquitous problem in modern urban areas, causing frustration, wasted time, and environmental pollution. In this essay, we will explore the causes of traffic jams and propose effective solutions to alleviate this issue.Causes of Traffic Jams:1. Road Capacity: Insufficient road capacity relative to the volume of vehicles is a primary cause of traffic congestion. As cities grow and populations increase, road infrastructure often fails to keep pace with demand.2. Bottlenecks: Bottlenecks such as intersections, tollbooths, and narrow roads can significantly impede the flow of traffic, leading to gridlock during peak hours.3. Incidents and Accidents: Collisions, breakdowns, and other incidents on the road can bring traffic to a standstill, causing ripple effects throughout the surrounding area.4. Poor Urban Planning: Inadequate urban planning, including inefficient road layouts and zoning decisionsthat lead to sprawl, exacerbates traffic congestion.5. Overreliance on Cars: Heavy reliance on personal vehicles for commuting, coupled with insufficient public transportation options, contributes to traffic congestion, especially in cities with limited parking space.Solutions to Alleviate Traffic Jams:1. Investment in Public Transportation: Governments should prioritize investment in efficient and accessible public transportation systems, including buses, trains, andsubways. Enhanced public transit options can encourage commuters to leave their cars at home, thereby reducing traffic congestion.2. Smart Traffic Management: Implementing intelligent traffic management systems, such as adaptive traffic signals and dynamic lane controls, can optimize traffic flow and alleviate bottlenecks.3. Encouraging Alternative Modes of Transportation: Promoting alternative modes of transportation such as walking, cycling, and carpooling through infrastructure improvements and incentives can help reduce the number of vehicles on the road.4. Employment of Technology: Leveraging technology such as GPS navigation systems, ride-sharing apps, and real-time traffic monitoring tools can help drivers make informed decisions to avoid congested routes.5. Flexible Work Arrangements: Encouraging employers to adopt flexible work arrangements such as telecommuting, staggered work hours, and compressed workweeks can spread out peak commuting times, reducing congestion on the roads.6. Infrastructure Expansion and Maintenance: Investing in the expansion and maintenance of road infrastructure, including the construction of new roads, bridges, and tunnels, can increase road capacity and alleviate congestion.7. Promoting Urban Density and Mixed-Use Development: Encouraging denser urban development and mixed-use zoning can reduce the need for long-distance commuting and promote walkability, reducing reliance on cars. Conclusion:In conclusion, traffic congestion is a complex issue with multifaceted causes that require a combination of strategies to address effectively. By investing in public transportation, implementing smart traffic management systems, promoting alternative modes of transportation, and adopting flexible work arrangements, we can work towardsreducing traffic jams and creating a smoother commute for all. It is imperative for governments, urban planners, employers, and individuals to collaborate and implement sustainable solutions to mitigate the adverse impacts of traffic congestion on our cities and communities.。
