The 2012 Shanghai Junior High School Entrance Exam was
a challenging experience for me. The exam covered a wide range of subjects, including Chinese, English, math, physics, chemistry, biology, history, and geography. Each subject required different skills and knowledge, making it difficult to prepare for all of them at once.
In the Chinese exam, we had to read several passages
and answer questions based on them. Some passages were
about ancient Chinese poems, while others were about modern literature. It was important to understand the meaning of
the passages and be able to analyze the author's intentions.
The English exam tested our listening, reading, and writing skills. We had to listen to a recording and answer questions about it, read passages and answer questions, and write an essay on a given topic. It was challenging to
think and write in English within a limited time, but it
was also an opportunity to showcase our language abilities.
Mathematics was another challenging subject. We had to solve various types of problems, including algebra, geometry, and statistics. It required logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Sometimes, I would get stuck on a problem and spend a lot of time trying to figure it out.
Physics, chemistry, and biology were all about understanding scientific concepts and applying them to solve problems. It was important to have a good foundation in these subjects and be able to think critically. Sometimes, I would have to use formulas and equations to calculate the answers.
History and geography were about memorizing facts and understanding the connections between events and places. It was important to have a good memory and be able to analyze historical and geographical information.
Overall, the 2012 Shanghai Junior High School Entrance Exam was a challenging but rewarding experience. It tested our knowledge and skills in various subjects and pushed us
