参加中国古诗词比赛的建议英语作文句子出赛
Entering the Chinese Poetry Contest
Wow, I'm so excited! My teacher just told our class about this amazing opportunity to enter a Chinese poetry contest. She said it's for elementary school students like me from all across the country. We have to write our own original poem in the style of ancient Chinese poetry. The winners even get prizes and get their poem published in a book! How cool is that?
I've always loved the old Chinese poems we've read in class. There's just something so beautiful and profound about the way they use simple, vivid language to capture the natural world and the human experience. Like that poem about the raindrops making "pinging" sounds as they hit the banana leaf. Or the one comparing parting from a loved one to a flock of wild geese disappearing into the clouds. They make me feel sad and happy at the same time, you know?
Still, I definitely want to give it my all and submit something I'm really proud of. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! I've been racking my brain trying to come up with the perfect idea for my poem. Maybe I could write about the big thunderstorm we had last week and how amazing the booming thunder and
flashes of lightning were. Or the family camping trip over spring break when we went hiking through those beautiful misty mountains. Or maybe even my rambunctious new puppy who is just a constant source of silly antics and unconditional love.
Ooh, I know! I'll write about the very special bond I have with my grandmother. How she's taught me so much wisdom about the world and how to live a good, meaningful life. How her warm hugs and twinkling eyes make me feel so safe and loved, no matter what. And the way she tells the most captivating traditional stories and folk tales. I could try capturing the cozy scene of sitting beside her on the porch swing as fireflies blink in the dusky garden while she spins her magical tales of heroes, ghosts, and chance encounters that change the course of destinies.
Grandma would be really proud if I wrote about her for my poem. She's the one who first introduced me to classic Chinese poetry by reading selections from the cherished ancient texts she keeps on her bookshelves. Even though the language is a bit antiquated and metaphorical, she always helped me understand the deeper meanings behind the lyrics. I remember her explaining how the poem "Still Night Thoughts" wasn't just about missing an old friend, but a melancholic reflection on the
ephemeral nature of life's pleasures and connections. How we have to learn to appreciate and be present for those precious moments while they last, because inevitably we all must move on from one phase of life to the next, just like the seasons changing.
Heavy stuff for a little kid, huh? But Grandma has this way of making even the saddest, most complex emotions feel okay through her gentle wisdom and unconditional empathy. Like a weight has been lifted off my heart. Her lessons stay with me even after our visits end and I go back home. Whenever I'm feeling anxious or heartbroken about something, I think of Grandma wrapping me in a warm hug while reassuring me that "this too shall pass." That the rain clouds will part eventually and the sun will shine through again, as long as I have faith and keep persistence.
Yes, I've decided. My poem will be a tribute to my dear Grandma and all the intangible gifts she's given me beyond justreciting ancient Chinese poems. I'll try to artfully capture her radiant, nurturing spirit through lyrical imagery and sincere emotion. Maybe incorporate some vivid nature scenes and philosophical musings in the classical style she loves so much.
It won't be easy, but I'm determined to give this poem everything I've got! I'll spend hours playing with different word
combinations and tweaking each line until it feels just right. Making sure the imagery。
