The First Period
一、教学内容:Section A 1a----2c
二、教学目标:Talk about making requests: Would you mind turning down the music?
1、Target Language(目标语言)
Words: not at all , turn down , yard , right away
Sentences: Would you mind turning down the music? No, not at all.
Would you mind not playing baseball here?
Sorry. We’ll go and play in the park.
Would you mind moving your bike?
OK. I’ll do it right away.
2、Language skills(技能目标)
a. to get the information about the requests.
b. to get the information about the responses of requests.

六、教学过程:
Step1. Leading in
T: Good morning, class. What’s the date today?
Ss: Today is….
T: Well, when I came to school this morning, I found Yan Ming’s bike was on the way. If I walked on the way, I must move it away. What did I say to him , then?
Ss: ….
T: I can say:“ Would you mind moving your bike away?” Yan Ming can answer OK. / Sorry, I’ll move it away right now. Today we’re going to talk about the requests and responses like this.
Step II. 1a. Match the requests
T: (Showing the picture) Look at the picture. What do we say when we are in th e picture? That is, we can request
Would you mind…? / Would you mind not…? Now, can you express requests? Ss: Yes, we can. Would you mind turning down the music?
T: How to response the requests?
Ss: ….
T: You can say : No, not at all. You can say: Would you mind not wearing these old jeans? What is the answer? It’s OK. I’ll put on another pair. Let student read the sentences of 1a, then check the answer.
Step III. 1b Listening
T; Now let’s come to 1b. Please listen to the tape and get the information of requests and responses.
Ss: ( Listening for the first time )
T: Let’s come to 1b. Before listening, please Look at the pictures and sentences in 1a. Then number the requests (1-4).
Ss: (Listening for the second time and check the answers)
Step IV. 1c Pairwork
T: After listening, we’ll talk about requests and responses in pairs. But to get ready for your pairwork, look at the picture in 1a. What question will you ask your partner? And what are your answers to your partner’s questions? Clea r?
The students work in pairs. The teacher goes round the class and check the answers. Then the teacher gets some students to work in pairs in front of cla ss.
Step V. 2a-2b Listening
T: Now. Let’s listen to the tape, 2a. Then number the picture 1-5.
Then the teacher gets some of the students to give their answers and check the answers.
T: Now let’s listen to the tape again, then please finish 2b, match the requests in activity2a.
Then check the answers.
Step VI. 2c Pairwork
T: After listening, let’s talk about requests and response in pairs again. But this time you can exchange your partner and exchange the pictures. Please wor k in pairs with new partner and different pictures. Let’s see who talks best. Ss: OK. (Work in pairs.)
Step VII. Feedback
T: Attention, please. I’ll check your work.. Who’s willing to act out your conversation about the picture?
Some students act their conversations.
解释:句型would you mind.....?你介意…吗?变成否定句是would you mind not ...? mind 后接动名词。

Step VIII. 总结
让学生自己做课堂总结,然后再由老师做综合陈述。

Step VIIII. Homework
T: Homework for today. Make 4 dialogues about 1a and make 5 dialogues about 2a. Write them down in your exercise book.

、课后反思
本次活动面向全班,面向全体同学,教师是组织者、引导者;学生的任务是开放性的,学生是活动的主体,他们以小组为单位,运用所学的内容创设情境,进行对话练习,并结合听力、笔头训练,既培养了他们的口语表达能力,又培养了他们的合作精神,同时对听、写的能力也得到了提高,为学生提供实际运用英语的机会。

由于全班同学的英语水平参差不齐,有的基础一般的同学进行口语对话还存在一定的困难。

因此,必须采取分层递进的教学方法,对这部分同学相应地降低要求,只要他们肯开口说,就给予一定的肯定和鼓励,使他们真正树立起学习英语的信心,调动他们的积极性。
