It requires no supplemental coolant additives (SCAs); instead, Cat Extender is added once, at half the life of the coolant.Recommended useCat ELC can be used in all Cat diesel engines and most OEM diesel, gasoline, and natural gas engines, allowing you to inventory one coolant for your entire mixed fleet. It meets ASTM D4985 and ASTM D5345 standards for heavy-duty, low-silicate antifreeze/coolants and ASTM D3306and ASTM D4656 for automotive applications.Cat ELC Premixed contains 50% ELC and 50%deionized water and is intended for initial fill and top-off. This formula ensures that water quality does not compromise engine coolant life andperformance—so there’s no guessing about correct antifreeze-to-water mix or worrying about hard water scale. Cat ELC Concentrate can be used to lower the coolant’s freezing point temperature below that of Premixed, which is -34°F (-37°C).Cat Extender should be added at 300,000 miles for truck engines and 3,000 hours for machines and commercial engines. The system should be drained and flushed with clean water at 600,000 miles for truck engines and 6,000 hours for machines and commercial engines (no cleaning agents are required if you are already using ELC).We can help you determine the right coolant for your Cat machines and engines, or you can refer to your “Operation and Maintenance Manual” or Service Publications SEBU6250 (Caterpillar Machines), SEBU6251 (Caterpillar Commerical Engines), or SEBU6385 (Caterpillar On-Highway Trucks). How Cat ELC compares to Cat DEACFeatureCat ELCCat DEACCoolant change interval 600,000 miles/6000 hours200,000 miles/3000 hoursInhibitor addition Cat Extender at Cat SCA300,000 miles/3000 hoursEvery 15,000 miles/250 hoursEthylene glycol base Y es Y esAdditive technologyCarboxylic Acid Nitrites, Silicates (some)T olytriazole (some)Borates (some)Nitrites (some)Nitrates (some)Molybdates (some)Molybdates (none)Meets Cat EC-1Y es N o Aluminum compatible Y es Y es Mixed fleet use Y es Limited SCA required N o Y es ColorStrawberry RedP i n k SCA test kit required N oY esInitial fillNo Cat Extender requiredNo Cat SCA requiredExtended Life CoolantKLLM Transport Services, Inc. tested CatELC in its truck engines. The thermostat on the left is from an engine with 69,000miles that used conventional coolant. The thermostat on the right is from an engine with 174,000 miles that used Cat ELC .KLLM ’s results demonstrate the longer life New standards for performanceCat ELC exceeds the new EC-1 industry standard developed by Caterpillar for cooling the engine and protecting the cooling system.EC-1 defines the performance requirements an engine coolant must meet to be sold as an extended life coolant for Cat engines. One of these requirements is extensive field testing, and Cat ELC has successfully completed over 50 million miles of testing in Cat engines.Note: Caterpillar does not monitor or approve any products that claim to meet Cat EC-1 standards. Individual suppliers are responsible for the quality and performance of their own products, including any associated liabilities.New chemical technology for long lifeCat Extended Life Coolant incorporates an advanced formula technology with organic additive corrosion inhibitors. It is free of nitrates, silicates, phosphates, borates, and amines. Instead, Cat ELC uses mono- and dibasic organic acid salts to provide maximum protection of the six basic metal alloys—copper, solder, brass, steel, cast iron, and aluminum—found in most heat transfer systems. Some nitrites and molybdates are added to help protect the iron components in the cooling system.Since Cat ELC doesn’t contain phosphates or silicates, hard water deposits in the cooling system are practically eliminated, and the low level of total dissolved solids improves water pump seal life.ELC’s advanced technology also prevents gel formation and provides excellent protection against cylinder liner cavitation corrosion.Plus, additives used in ELC don’t deplete as fast as those in conventional coolants. Coolant life in heavy-duty diesel engines is limited by the depletion of the corrosion inhibitors. In conventional coolants, supplemental coolant additives (SCAs) deplete, so heavy-duty diesel engine manufacturers require that you add SCAs at every oil change. With Cat ELC, however, additives deplete much more slowly—so you don’t need to add any SCAs.Less old coolant for disposalUsed coolant disposal requirements have become more stringent and costly in recent years. Disposal of used coolants can be difficult and expensive and must be done in accordance with local, state, or federal laws. Cat ELC reduces coolant disposal volume by 50% or more—cutting disposal costs.P R E V E N T I V E M A I N T E N A N C E P R O D U C TSCaterpillar developed Cat Extender exclusively for use with Cat ELC. It exceeds Cat EC-1performance requirements and contains nitrites and molybdates that help protect against cylinder liner and block pitting, as well as cavitation erosion.Cat Extender should be added at 300,000miles for Cat on-highway truck engines and at 3,000 hours for Cat machines and commercial engines. This ensures that Cat ELC performs to its maximum life of 600,000 miles in truck engines or 6,000 hours in machine and commercial engines.Cat Diesel Engine Antifreeze/Coolant6000 Hour Life or 6 Years (whichever comes first)Cat Extended Life Coolant (Truck Engines)600,000 Miles or 6 Years (whichever comes first)P E H P 4036-03Printed in U.S.A.© 2000 CaterpillarS ·O ·SSMServices for early detectionProtect your investment with our S·O·S Services Program. CMOS fabrication is used for low-power consumption and high efficiency. These devices are fabricated using an epitaxial layer to effectively short out the intrinsic parasitic transistor responsible for CMOS latch-up. They incorporate a number of other design and process refinements to increase their long-term reliability. The TC1426 is compatible with the bipolar DS0026, but only draws 1/5 of the quiescent current. The TC1426/ TC1427/TC1428 are also compatible with the TC426/ TC427/TC428, but with 1.2A peak output current rather than the 1.5A of the TC426/TC427/TC428 devices. Other compatible drivers are the TC4426/TC4427/ TC4428 and the TC4426A/TC4427A/TC4428A. The TC4426/TC4427/TC4428 have the added feature that the inputs can withstand negative voltage up to 5V with diode protection circuits. The TC4426A/TC4427A/ TC4428A have matched input to output leading edge and falling edge delays, t D1 and t D2, for processing short duration pulses in the 25 nanoseconds range. All of the above drivers are pin compatible. The high-input impedance TC1426/TC1427/TC1428 drivers are CMOS/TTL input-compatible, do not require the speed-up needed by the bipolar devices, and can be directly driven by most PWM ICs.This family of devices is available in inverting and non-inverting versions. Specifications have been optimized to achieve low-cost and high-performance devices, well-suited for the high-volume manufacturer.Part Number Package Temp. For example, charging a 1000pF load to 16V in 25 nsec requires a 0.8A current from the device's power supply. To ensure low supply impedance over a wide frequency range, a parallel capacitor combination is recom-mended for supply bypassing. Low-inductance ceramic MLC capacitors with short lead lengths (<0.5-in.)should be used. A 1.0 μF film capacitor in parallel with one or two 0.1 μF ceramic MLC capacitors normally provides adequate bypassing.3.2GROUNDINGThe TC1426 and TC1428 contain inverting drivers.Individual ground returns for the input and output circuits or a ground plane should be used. This will reduce negative feedback that causes degradation in switching speed characteristics.FIGURE 3-1:Inverting Driver SwitchingTime3.3INPUT STAGEThe input voltage level changes the no-load or quiescent supply current. The N-channel MOSFET input stage transistor drives a 2.5 mA current source load. With a logic ‘1’ input, the maximum quiescent supply current is 9 mA. Logic ‘0’ input level signals reduce quiescent current to 500 μA maximum. Unused driver inputs must be connected to V DD or GND .Minimum power dissipation occurs for logic ‘0’ inputs for the TC1426/TC1427/TC1428.The drivers are designed with 100 mV of hysteresis. This provides clean transitions and minimizes output stage current spiking when changing states. Input voltage thresholds are approximately 1.5V, making a logic ‘1’ input any voltage greater than 1.5V up to V DD .Input current is less than 1 μA over this range. The TC1426/TC1427/TC1428 may be directly driven by the TL494, SG1526/27, TC38C42, TC170 and similar switch-mode power supply integrated circuits.FIGURE 3-2:Noninverting DriverSwitching TimeTC1426/TC1427/TC14284.0TYPICAL CHARACTERISTICSNote:The graphs and tables provided following this note are a statistical summary based on a limited number of samples and are provided for informational purposes only. Tighten securely.NOTE: The Jack Cylinder is prefilled with hydraulic oil, and does not require filling. However, the “shipping plug” must be replaced with the Oil Filler Plug (105) before first use of the jack.WARNING: Before using this jack, you must remove the “shipping plug” and in-stall the Oil Filler Plug (105). Do not damage the Seal (106) by overtightening.WARNING: Do not overload this jack, which has a 1/2 T on (1000 Lbs. capacity). The jack may be damaged, and you may experience unplanned, rapid lowering of the load. This may cause severe personal injury or property damage.WARNING: Do not carry an unbalanced load, or a load not appropriate to the de-signed use of this jack. The jack may topple over causing serious personal injury or property damage.Hook Screw (85)WIng Bolt (83)Saddle Kit (68)Angle Plate (77)Grips (70)Round Handles (107) Pin (103) & Snap Pin (104)OperationWARNING: Before standing or working underneath any elevated vehicle or other object, be sure that the vehicle is properly and safely secured following recom-mendations of the lift manufacturer. For your safety and the safety of others, use good professional practice and common sense.1) The jack may easily be moved by gripping the Handle (101) and rolling it onits casters. Locate the jack under the transmission. Repeatedly press thePump Pedal (53) with your foot to raise the jack until the Saddle Set nearly contacts the underside of the transmission. Adjust the position of the jack so that it is centered directly under the center of gravity of the transmission.2) It is important for your safety to get a good contact between the SaddleSet and the transmission. This will assure that the transmission is properly supported and balanced once removed from the vehicle and on the jack.Using the Grips (70), adjust the angle of the Saddle (68) so that it is bestaligned with the transmission. Press the Pump Pedal (53) again until theSaddle (68) contacts and will support the weight of the transmission.3) The positions of the Chains and Hook Screws can be adjusted using theWing Bolts (83). Secure the transmission to the Saddle (68) by passing the chains (88) over the top of the transmission, and securing them to the Hook Screws (85). Tighten the chains by tightening the Wing Nuts (75). Double check that the transmission is safely and securely attached to theSaddle Set.4) Remove the bolts and fittings attaching the transmission to the vehicle andseparate the transmission, as recommended by the vehicle shop manual. 5) Lower the transmission slightly by briefly pressing the Pedal Release (39).Recheck the transmission to assure that it is securely and safely attached to the Saddle (68). Make any necessary adjustments. When it is safe to do so, lower the transmission all the way by pressing the Pedal Release.6) Using the Handle (101), and stabilizing the transmission on the jack, roll thetransmission out from under the vehicle to the work location where it will be repaired. It is a good idea to have an assistant help you lower and move the transmission.WARNING:The use of this jack is limited to the removal, installation, and transportation in the lowest position, of transmissions and differentials. It is not designed to store transmissions or other parts. No transmission or other part should be left on the jack for an extended period of time.Do not overload. The capacity of this jack is 1/2 T on (1000 Lbs.). Overloading can cause damage to the jack and cause consequential personal or property in-jury. This jack is designed to use only on hard, level surfaces capable of support-ing the load. Use on other surfaces may cause instability and possible property damage or personal injury.Maintenance1) The hydraulic system is closed and will normally require no maintenance.2) The mechanical parts of the jack, such as the pedal and release should beoccasionally lubricated with heavy oil or grease.3) Protect the jack cylinder from dirt or grit, when in the raised position. If itbecomes dirty, wipe it off with a clean cloth.4) Maintain and store the jack in a reasonably protected environment. Do notexpose to rain or excess moisture. Protect from salt water or other corrosive materials. If it becomes dirty or contaminated, clean it promptly with cleanwater or a suitable detergent. If using a pressure washer, be aware that you may remove some paint from the outer surface. Never apply a pressurewasher to the seal areas near the pistons or valves. Be sure to lubricateexternal moving parts after cleaning.5) If the jack “fades”, allowing a load to slowly lower on its own, you may havedamaged seals or insufficient jack oil. First check the oil level. If the level is OK, take the jack to a qualified repair person for seal replacement. Damaged seals may be caused by overloading, or exposure to harmful conditions or inappropriate use of a pressure washer. NOTE: If the jack can be pumped up to its highest position, it indicates that there is enough oil. If the jack fades from this position, it indicates that the problem is likely with the seals.6) To check the oil level, be sure the jack is in its lowest position. Remove theOil Filler Plug (105). The oil level should be at the bottom of the filler plughole. Y ou can visually see the oil, or test with your finger. If the oil level islow, add any good hydraulic oil of 15/40 viscosity. Terminating a band to a clamped or fixtured cable will affect the applied forces and interfere with the cut-off operation. The cut-off operation causes a rotation of the band termination in order to lock the band.Step 2Push braid forward over banding platform. Milk braid as required to remove slack and ensure a snug fit around the shield termination area.Video Training Series At:/bandmaster/index.htm15© 2014 Glenair, Inc • 1211 Air Way, Glendale, CA 91201 • 818-247-6000 • • U.S. CAGE code 06324 Dimensions in Inches(mm)Step 4Depress the band insertion and release lever (6), and insert the working end of the band into the front end opening of the tool, with the loop positioned outward as shown.Step 5The band termination area on all backshells is wider than the band. Position the band near the rear lip of the banding platform, allowing room for the buckle. For elliptical cable entries position the buckle off center of the peak of the circle. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in poor performance.Step 6Contract the band with the tensioning lever (2) using short, even strokes. As the band contracts firmly on the termination area, pull a full stroke to lock the lever against the main tool handle which will indicate the band is compressed to the proper tension.NOTE: Overly rapid tightening of the band may result in unevencompression. If alignment of the band and shield is unsatisfactory, tension can be relaxed by pulling up on the tensioning lever (2) and then pushing the tension release lever (8) forward. Make adjustments as necessary and finish tightening with tensioning lever (2) as described above.Step 7Complete the clamping process by depressing the cut-off lever (4), allow-ing band and cable to rotate slightly. Pull up the release lever (6) to remove excess band for disposal.NOTE: Always band on an unfixtured connector/cable assembly.Step 8Trim away excess braid from theforward groove, particularly if a shrink boot is to be applied to the assembly.Step 9Visually inspect shield termination for problems.NOTE: Band can be removed by lifting the buckle with a screwdriver or diagonal cutters.Trim excess braidaway from shrink boot grooveSqueeze the bandinsertion and release leverNot HereFor elliptical adapters, position the buckle Here on the flat portion of the ellipse as shownNot HerePosition the band nearthe rear lip leaving room for buckle.Nicely Done!Interconnect HEAVY-DUTYAssembly ToolsThe right tool for every interconnectassembly requirementGlenair, Inc.1211 Air Way Glendale, CA 91201-2497818-247-6000*****************Interconnect Cable Assembly ToolsBand-It Shield Termination Tools, Connector-to-Backshell Holding Tools, Fiber Optic Termination Kits and More!Glenair offers its connector and connector accessory customers every convenience in the provision of contact termination, shield termination, and backshell-to-connector assembly tooling. It is designed for on/off operation only, but is used in some applications for regulation of media flow.1-pc Ball ValvesTC-01TK 1000# reduced port threaded ball valveThis is the most economical valve in the TCI Products ball valve line. It is a 1-pc construction reduced port valve. It is mainly used in non-critical situations, or as a gauge cock.TC-01BFS 2000# Fire Safe reduced port threaded ball valveThis is our 2000# Fire Safe, one piece constructed, ABS Type Approved & USCG Positive Shut-off, ball valve. It is also offered as a CS valve (TC-02BCFS) from the factory only at this time.2-pc Ball ValvesTC-02X 1000# threaded full port ball valveThe TC-02X is our light-weight economy version of these valves. There is no mounting pad at all on this valve. This is TCI Valve’s most popular valve. The TC‐02T/M has been discontinued as a stocking model for TCI warehouses. It can still be ordered on an indent basis only. We do still have some available on the obsolete valve list and some with oval handles.2TC-02XWS1000# threaded “Weld Seal” full po rt threaded ball valveThis is the same valve body as the TC-02X, but has been cold welded, or “weldsealed” to connect the 2 body parts. This prevents any chance of the valvecoming apart during applications or dis-assembly.TC-0612(C), TC-0612M(C) 2000/1500# threaded standard port ball valveThis valve is a direct duplicate of the Apollo 76 series. Our carbon steelversion is equal to the 73 series. This is our only 2-pc carbon valve to offer.TC-0712/M(C) 2000/1500# 250wsp standard port threaded ball valveThis valve is our only 250wsp (working steam pressure) rated valve. It is theTC-0612 body with Carbon & Graphite reinforced PTFE seats, seals & packing for resistance to steam. We use the same body as our TC-0612/M on this valve. Wecan also offer the CS model as a factory Indent.TC-2000, TC-2000WS 2000 threaded full port ball valveThis valve is a high pressure full port valve. We stock the TC-2000 from ¼” to1”. The 1-1/4”-2” sizes must be offered as a “Weld-Seal” valve. We do stock theTC-2000WS valves in ¼”-2” in Houston for the Oilfield.TC-9000 1000# full port DIRECT MOUNT threaded ball valveThis is our DIRECT MOUNT 2-pc threaded ball valve stocked only in Chicago IAtlanta.3-pc ball valvesTC-03K(C) 1000# full port ball valve; socket-weld or threadedThis is our lightweight economy 3-pc valve developed for the Bio-Fuel businessthat was supposed to boom in 2007. The stainless version is stocked only inChicago. The TC-03KC is also our carbon steel valve pattern we use nationwide.3TC-03 1000# full port ball valve; socket-weld, threaded, butt-weldThis is our most common 3-pc ball valve. We stock this valve in socket-weld & threaded. We do have some butt-weld ends in stock, but mostly the butt-weld version is factory direct only. Use TC-3000B for butt-weld.TC-3000 1000# full port ball valve; socket-weld, threaded, butt-weld, tri-clampThis is our Direct Mount version of 1000# 3-pc valve. The TC-3000TC version is a sanitary (food service) valve, with special body seat fillers. This is to prevent any media in the body cavity for contamination. We stock this valve with both the PTFE & MET seats, and repair kits. You MUST use a TC-3000TC repair kit with a TC-3000TC valve. We also keep “tube end” end pieces in stock for “tube weld end” requests. These end pieces are sold separately, but can be used to quote “TC x TE” sanitary valves.TC-4000(FS)/TC-4100(FS) 2000/1500# full port ball valve; socket-weld, threadedThe TC-4000FS is stainless, and the TC-4100FS is carbon steel. Both valves are DIRECT MOUNT. We are stocking only “Fire-Safe” versions. These models are also ABS Type Approved and have passed the USCG Positive Shut-off testing. When q uoting, please remember the ½”-1” are 2000#, and 1 ¼” –2” are 1500#.NOTE ON ALL 3-PC VALVES; All socket-weld 3-pc valves must be disassembled before welded into ANY application. Failure to do this by installer will void warranty and melt body seats. Remember this before issuing RMA on leaking SW valves.4Flanged-End Ball ValvesTC-6000FS/TC-6100FS 150# reduced port unibody flanged-end ball valve. The TC-6000 is stainless, and the TC-6100 is carbon steel. This valve is used when port opening is not critical.TC-0802A 150#/300# full port 316 2-pc flanged-end ball valveThe TC-0802A is our most common FE ball valve. We stock in both 150# &300#. We stock the 10” &12” with a “Manual Gear Operator”& stock the 8” with an option of an MGO or lever op. Please check appropriate code.TC-5000FS/TC-5100FS 150# FIRE-SAFE full port flanged-end ball valveThe TC-5000FS is stainless, and the TC-5100 is carbon steel. Both of these are Fire-Safe valves.TC-7000FS 150# 316 FIRE-SAFE DIRECT MOUNT full port flanged end ball valveThe TC-7000FS is our only Direct-Mount Flanged end ball valve.3-WAY BALL VALVES3-Way ball valves are supplied in two configurations; “T” port (mixing valve) and “L” port (diverter valve). TCI is one of very few manufacturers to offer both options in a 3-way valve. Most supply one style valve, and ask the user to either re-configure the ball and stops, or to use as a mixing with the port “half open”to mix. This restricts the flow of media, and can cause internal turbulence. When quoting, you MUST clarify if the customer needs “T” or “L” port.TC-WL, TC-WT 316 1000# reduced port threaded 3-way ball valveThis is our basic 3-way ball valve. Our cut sheets classify this as a “reduced” port, but by port dimensions, it can b e considered a “standard” port valve.5TC-WLT-DM, TC-WTT-DM DIRECT MOUNT 1000# reduced port threaded 3-waythreaded ball valveThis is our DIRECT MOUNT version of the basic threaded 3-way ball valveTC-WLF, TC-WTF 150# 316 full port 3-way flanged end ball valveThis is our flanged end 3-way ball valve.GATE VALVESGate valves are designed for “on/off” operation, and are the most common of the multi-turn valves. Gate valves have a “gate”or “wedge” that moves up & down. TCI stocks only a threaded and flanged end, casted produced, gate valve at this time.TC-GT 200# 316 threaded bonnet threaded gate valveThis is a 200# rated, non rising stem, threaded gate valve. This valve is used mainly with 150# threaded fittings.TC-GTF 150#/300# 316 flanged end gate valveThis is a flanged end gate valve that we stock in both 150# and 300#. It has an OS&Y (outside yoke and stem), rising stem, bolted bonnet, pattern with a flexible wedge.CHECK VALVESTCI 200# and flanged end check valves are “Swing Check” valves. The pressure of media flow keeps the valve open and any reversal of flow, along with gravity, closes it. TCI check valves are horizontal swing check valves, but can be installed both horizontal and vertical. TCI does not offer a “piston” or “spring loaded” check valve at this time.6TC-CK 200# 316 threaded swing checkThis is our 200# threaded bonnet threaded end swing check valve.TC-CKS 200# socket-weld swing checkThis is the same valve casting as above, with socket-weld ends.TC-CKF 150#/300# 316 bolted bonnet flanged end swing check valveThis is our flanged end swing check valve we offer in both 150# and 300#.GLOBE VALVESGlobe valves are designed for throttling or regulating flow. The design is not a straight line flow through, but rather offset on a parallel line of flow. This design affords a better closure than a gate valve, and offers less resistance on the internal parts for less wear on those parts while throttling flow media. TCI only offers a 200# threaded and 150# flanged, casted product, at this time. A 300# flanged end is available from our factory.TC-GB 200# threaded bonnet 316 threaded end globe valveThis is our 200#, non rising stem, threaded globe valve.TC-GBF 150# 316 bolted bonnet flanged end globe valveThis is our OS&Y, non rising stem, flanged end globe valve.7STRAINERSStrainers are designed to filter unwanted media in a flow line. TCI offers a simple design Y-strainer, in threaded and flanged end, with one screen or basket. Our screens are produced from perforated metal, not screen mesh, for durability. For this reason, we do not offer a “mesh number”, but “hole size diameter on hole centerline” dimensions, that are available on the screen cut sheet on our website. It is not uncommon for our customers to have screens custom made with different mesh sizes for different applications of filtering.TC-YS 800# 316 threaded Y-strainerThis is our casted 800# Y-strainer. It has a threaded blow-out cap for easy removal and cleanout. This is also how the screen is replaced. Please note the threads on the cap, is an ACME thread, so this item cannot be used a threaded lateral. This is a common request from PVF accounts.YC-YSF 150# 316 flanged end Y-strainerThis is a single basket flanged end Y-strainer. It has a bolted cap over the basket, with an npt plug for a blowout. The size plug for each size is available on the cut sheet.NEEDLE VALVESNeedle, or needle globe, valves are used in high pressure applications where either a closure is critical, or throttling is very sensitive. This valve has the same flow design as a globe valve. This multi-turn valve is mainly used with instrumentation tubing. TCI offers this valve in 6000# with npt end connections, but using a tube fitting male connector is more economical than purchasing a tube end valve. We can also offer different packing materials from the factory.TC-NDL 6000# 316 screwed-in bonnet threaded needle valveThis is a rising stem threaded end needle valve.8FIRE SAFE VALVESThere are several valve models that TCI has been stocking as both a FS and non FS version. There is a new program in process that will consolidate all of these models to the FS version. Until we have eliminated the non FS versions from our inventories, please offer these (unless FS is requested), and help us eliminate these inventories. Also remember that you will have to enter the “FS” in your TBS item code on the new versions. The TC-4100 is still only offered FS from the factory at this time. The following models are available in FS;TC-4000FS (Stainless) TC-4100FS (Carbon Steel)TC-5000FS (Stainless) TC-5100FS (Carbon Steel)TC-6000FS (Stainless) TC-6100FS (Carbon Steel)TC-7000FS (Stainless DM) TC-01BFS (Stainless Steel)When quoting FS valves in a competitive situation, please note to customer that our FS valves ARE tested and certified to API 607 4th edition. Some other valves in the industry are just a “fire safe design”, but not certified.9RMA’s ON VALVESIn the past at TCI, we have been very quick to create an RMA for any issue on a valve. This practice must be changed. Whenever an account manager receives a notification of an issue on a valve, we must address this in a methodical manner. We must understand every situation is different, and we must attempt to satisfy our customers, but all issues do not require an RMA. If there is a true valve issue that could result as a mill claim, a Field Service Report must be filled out. Please see questions to keep in mind under situations. If valve is leaking;1)How long has valve been installed?2)Where is it leaking on the valve?3)Is it the appropriate valve for the application?4)What is media and at what temperature?5)Has the valve been actuated, and what are the cycles?6)Is it a SW valve, and was it disassembled before welding?7)Can a repair kit solve this problem? These are just a few questions that should be addressed before jumping to conclusions that we have produced a bad product. We have a very highquality program that produces a quality product that has been tested. We do stand behind our products, but we need to make sure they are usedproperly. If an issue arises that you do not understand, please forward to local valve team leader or product manager.10Ta Chen International Inc.11SignaturePrint Name12DIRECT MOUNT VALVESThe TCI Direct Mount Valve line is an engineered product to economically help our customers actuate our valves, without having to install a mounting kit. They are designed so that the actuator bolts directly to the ISO 5211 mounting pad. This can result in a substantial savings, and can be the deciding factor in capturing a valve job. We do not want to be involved in the actuation process, but rather provide the valve and let our customers engineer the package.TCI VALVE DIRECT MOUNT BALL VALVESSTAINLESS STEELTC-90002-pc CF8M (316) 1000# DIRECT MOUNT FULL PORTTHREADED BALL VALVETC-3000S/T/B3-pc CF8M (316) 1000# DIRECT MOUNT FULLPORT THREADED, SOCKET-WELD, ORBUTT-WELD BALL VALVETC-3000TC3-pc CF8M (316) 1000# DIRECT MOUNT FULL PORTTRI-CLAMPED END SANITARY BALL VALVETC-4000S/T3-pc CF8M (316) 2000#/1500# DIRECT MOUNTTHREADED OR SOCKET-WELD BALL VALVETC-WL/T-DM3-WAY CF8M (316) 1000# RED PORT THREADED“T” or “L” PORT DIRECT MOUNT BALL VALVETC-7000-FS2-pc CF8M (316) 150# FULL PORT FIRE-SAFEFLANGED END BALL DIRECT MOUNT BALL VALVE13CARBON STEELTC-4100T/S3-pc WCB BODY (316 S/S BALL & STEM) 2000#/1500#FULL PORT THREADED OR SOCKET-WELD FULLPORT DIRECT MOUNT BALL VALVEALL VALVES SUPPLIED WITH ISO-5211 DIRECT MOUNT PADS14Repair Kits for Ball ValvesWe stock repair kits for most of our “repairable” valves. These would mainly consist of our 3-pc and flanged end ball valves. These are the most economical valves to repair after substantial wear and tear on the non-metallic parts of the valve, mainly the seats and seals. These can also, under most circumstances, be repaired in line. We do have requests for repair kits for our 2-pc valves on occasion, and we do have some kits available for these. This is very unusual because most 2-pc, and 1-pc, valves are considered “throw away” valves. This means that once a valve has lived its life in an application, it is more economical to throw it away, rather than taking the shop time and labor to rebuild it.It is very important to identify the valve before choosing a repair kit to sell to a customer. If you cannot find the initial valve sale, request any identifying markings, tag information, handle information, and a full description of the valve. Do not be afraid to ask for assistance from other TCI personnel in determining the repair kit to supply. Always remember that the account requesting the repair kit, may not have sold the valve initially to the end user. We still need to assist the inquiring account to keep the end user satisfied with our product. The end result is for the user to keep our valves in line, and request our brand every time he needs a valve product. If you get a request from the user, and he does not know who supplied the valve or who he normally purchases from, always refer to a close-by valve supporter who stocks, or indents our valve products.15Manual Gear OperatorsTCI supplies several of our larger TC-0802A valves, with high torque (the amo unt of foot/pounds OR inch/pounds it requires to “break” or open the valve), with a MANUAL GEAR OPERATOR from the factory. This is to make the operation of the valve easier for the end user. This is an added bonus for our customers, and should be used as a sales tool when quoting. The sizes are 8”, 10” & 12” in 150#, and 8” & 10” in 300#. On the 8” 150#, we offer both the MGO and the lever handle. Please use the appropriate TBS product code, and offer both options on these. Please remember that these can be offered on factory indent orders supplied on any size ball valve.16Factory Direct Indent OrdersTCI is very unique to the fact that we own our foundries and valve assembly facilities. Due to that fact, we can offer our customers substantial savings with factory direct, or indent, orders. This means that we are the sales representative for the TCI Valve factory, and sell these products at factory level pricing. This allows our customers a selling edge over accounts that do want to make the inventory investment. Pricing on factory indent orders can only be supplied by the factory, &/or product manager, and MUST be kept confidential. There can sometimes be minimum requirements on pieces or dollars on these orders. We would like to always keep our factory supporters in mind when quoting stock products. They have not only made an inventory investment of their own, but an investment in the TCI valve brand’s future.17Private Label (Branded) ValvesTCI has several customers that stock TCI Valves under their own private, or branded, label. TCI supplies these from the factory direct, with a valve handle sleeve with the customer’s specified color and printed name or logo. Sometimes our customers order sleeves with THEIR customer’s name or logo on them. This is a common practice to hopefully insure repeat business for all parties involved. TCI also has a program to keep extra sleeves available for some customers, so they can purchase other TCI stock items and brand them for immediate sale. All of these programs available from TCI require commitments from both the customer and TCI to insure that the obligations of a partnership are met. Although each customer and circumstance is different, any agreements must be approved by local branch manager and product manager.18Special HandlesTCI Valves offers special handles for most models of ball valves. The most common is the “Oval Handle”, used mainly for OSHA applications. This is so that the valve cannot be accidently cut on/off by a lever handle being hit or bumped. We have these for most of threaded & SW ball valves, and the cut sheet can be found on the website. The code is V10B2TFPOHxxx. We also offer a special Oval Handle for the TC-5000/5100FS Flanged End valve stocked only in CHW.Another special handle offered is the “Valve Stem Extension” for some of the ball valves. This is to extend the stem for piping insulation. The code on these is V10B2TFPXEXTxxx. These can also be found on the cut sheet. The sizing for the handles to each specific valve model can be found on the cut sheet.19。

The control module should be checked for dust, grime, or grease around the vent louvers and wiped on a regular basis. Because the roasting is done at low temperatures, there is very little grease build -up. Over time, however, grease will begin to stick to the walls and floor of the unit . Hot soapy water with a non-abrasive pad or oven cleaner for stainless steel is best for cleaning the interior . For the exterior, we recommend hot soapy water with a non-abrasive pad, or stainless steel cleaner and polish. Always wipe with the grain. Failure to remove greasy build-up can cause bacterial growth within the oven cavity. Proper Shipping Name2. Class3. United Nations (UN) number4. Number and kind of packages5. T he packing certificate (or the DG Certificate signed by the packer)6. A Marine Pollutant declaration7. Total quantity of dangerous goods8. D eclaration signed on behalfof the shipperAll vehicles must display placards onall four sides of the vehicle representing each of the various dangerous goods within the vehicle. This applies whether the vehicle contains only a single dangerous goods package or is loaded to capacity with dangerous goods packages. Please be aware that placards onsemi-trailers for shipment by sea are different to those used by road. For more information or assistance please refer to www.condorferriesfreight. /services/hazardous-materials Refrigerated Cargo (Reefers)Reefer units, powered by either electrical cable or a dedicated diesel unit, are the single most frequent source of fires on ro-ro ferries, therefore, they are identified as high-risk cargoes. Condor Ferries has the right to refuse any reefer units for shipment that we deem not to be in a safe condition, furthermore we will not accept any liability for this refusal and its consequences for the shipper. Units which require plug-in shall only use cables provided by the vessel. It is not acceptable to use shipper provided cables. Heavy/Out of Gauge FreightHeavy/out of gauge freight i.e. any vehicle exceeding a width of 2.5m, length of 16m and height of 3.6m, with a gross train weight exceeding 44 tonnes are likely to require specialist securing onboard. For more information or assistance please visit /contact-us Any plant or machinery that requires special ‘out of the ordinary’ starting or movement instructions, must have the necessary information readily available at the driver position. Verbal instructions are not acceptable, they must be in writing. Trade/Unaccompanied VehiclesAll trade/unaccompanied vehicles must be in good running order, with efficient and working brakes. There shall be enough fuel for the vehicle to be loaded and discharged from the vessels safely.Any special ‘out of the ordinary’ starting or movement instructions, must have the necessary information readily available at the driver position. Description
The TC1263 is a fixed-output, high-accuracy (typically ±0.5%) CMOS low dropout regulator. Designed specifically for battery-operated systems, the TC1263’s CMOS construction eliminates wasted ground current, significantly extending battery life. Total supply current is typically 80 µA at full load (20 to 60 times lower than in bipolar regulators).
The TC1263 incorporates both overtemperature and overcurrent protection. The TC1263 is stable with an output capacitor of only 1 µF and has a maximum output current of 500 mA. It is available in 8-Pin SOIC, 5-Pin TO-220 and 5-Pin DDPAK packages.
effects are covered by the thermal regulation specification.
Dropout voltage is defined as the input-to-output differential at which the output voltage drops 2% below its nominal
