可数&不可数名词补充

不可数名词前面不能用a，an和数词，也没有复数，可以用how much提问，如：How much meat/milk do you want?
即是可数也是不可数名词的情况：
有些名词兼有可数和不可数两种情况：
Fish（鱼），在表示物质概念时是不可数名词，但在表示种类时又是可数名词，如：He eat much fish yesterday.(鱼肉，表物质)
There are a large variety of fishes in the pond.(表示种类，可数)
这个池塘里有许多种鱼
Chicken（鸡）在表示“小鸡”或强调整体时是可数名词，但在表示“鸡肉”时不可数He ate a whole chicken(强调整体，可数)
The man is after a white chicken(表小鸡，可数)
Would you like some chicken(鸡肉，不可数)
Glass(玻璃)，在表示“玻璃”时不可数，表示“眼镜”可数glasses
Wine表示“酒”时不可数，表示“酒的种类”可数，这时它的前面通常有限定词。

如：Jack drank a lot of wine at the last party
The region produces an excellent wine.这个地方生产一种优质酒(强调种类，可数)
另外，iron表示“铁”不可数，表“熨斗”可数，paper表“报纸”可数，“纸”不可数。

Knowledge表“知识”不可数，“某种学科的知识”时可数
集体名词通常表示群体概念，用作主语时谓语动词用复数形式
The board of directors are talking about the project
The audience present were all astonished by his lecture
在场的听纵都被他的讲座惊呆了
其他集体名词：family、class, committee”委员会” the police，group，the army，cattle “牛”。
