Imperative sentences 祈使句
祈使句的含义：用于表达命令、请求、劝告、警告、禁止等的句子叫做祈使句。

祈使句的特点：通常省略主语。

通常以一般现在时的动词开始，句末则使用句号或感叹号
1) 肯定结构：
(1) 以Do开始
动词原形(+宾语)+其它成分。

e.g.： Give me a cup of tea, please. 请给我一杯茶。

有的祈使句在意思明确的情况下,动词可省略。

e.g.： That way, please. 请那边走。

(2) 以Be开始
Be + 表语(名词或形容词)+其它成分。

e.g.： Be quiet! 安静！
2) 否定结构：
(1) 在句首加Don’t构成否定句。

e.g.：Don’t leave the train. 不要离开火车。

Don’t be naughty! 不要淘气!
(2) 有些祈使句可用No开头,用来表示禁止性的祈使句。

e.g.： No swimming here! 禁止在此处游泳!
No talking! 禁止讲话！
3) 祈使句表达的不同含义
Go and turn off the TV. 去关掉电视。

（表示命令）
Louder, please. 大声一些。

（表示请求）
Be polite to our guest. 对客人要客气。

（表示劝告）
Mind the gap. 注意间隙。

（表示警告）
Look out！Danger！小心！危险！（表示强烈警告）
Don’t eat here. 这里禁止吃东西。

（表示禁止）
No fishing. 禁止钓鱼。

（表示禁止）
（四）重点介词的用法
1. on 在……上面
两物品的平面互相接触。

e.g.： There is a book on my desk.
2. near 在……附近，靠近，接近
e.g.： My school is near my home.
两者之中也许还有别的物体的存在
3. next to 紧邻，在……近旁
表示两地或两物品中间没有任何其他障碍
e.g.： I sit next to him.
Room 113 is next to room 115.
4. opposite 与……相对，在……对面
e.g.： The post office is opposite to the park.
有时与to连用
5. between…and…在两者之间
e.g.： The bed is between the window and the door.
6. in front of 在……前面
in front of 表示物体与物体之间的前后关系
e.g.： The library is in front of my house.
图书馆在我家的前面（两个物体的位置关系）
比较：
in the front of
表示在物体内部的前后位置，如：
The teacher is in the front of the classroom.
表示老师在教室的前边（物体内部[classroom]的具体位置）

Look at the picture and describe my bedroom.
