Step1: Lead in
Discuss some questions, such as:
What’s your hobby ? Do you like making
something , model train or model ship ?
Help the students answer the questions .
Step2:Read and think
Read the song and understand the two sentences .
1.I’m glad to be alone .
alone 用作形容词,意思是“独自一人,单独”
lonely 意思是“ 孤单,寂寞”
例: He is always alone ,but he never feels lonely.
他经常独自一人,但他从不感到寂寞
2. I like my model train .
model 意思是“ 模型” model ship /plane
例: She bought a new model plane.
Step3: Listen and Sing
Play the audiotape for the students to listen. Ask the students to sing along. Sing the song a few times.
Step4:Sing the song again
Ask the students to sing the song again , first sing it along ,then sing it one by one .
Step5:Come to “Let’s do it ”
Have the students discuss the questions on the book.
Divide the class into groups of four, make them discuss in the
group,and then present their answers to the class.
