教材分析
本单元学习的主题是天气情况。

教学内容主要是围绕Mike向妈妈征求许可、天气预报员预报天气以及Mark和陈杰在电话中相互询问对方所在地天气情况的场景来展开的。

教学重点是能够听、说、认读核心句型“—Can I go outside now? —No, you can't.”“—Can I have some soup? —Yes, you can.”“—What's the weather like in New York? —It's rainy.”“—Is it cold? —No, it isn't.”;能够听、说、认读单词:cool, cold, hot, warm, rainy, snowy, cloudy, sunny, wind 等

Step 1: Warm-up & Lead-in
1. Greetings.
2. Enjoy a song—Rain, rain, go away. (课件出示)
3. Lead-in. Teaching purpose
用一首耳熟能详的歌曲《Rain, rain, go away》激发学生的学习兴趣。

师生谈论
T: It's a nice song, isn't it?
Ss: Yes.
T: What does the girl want to do?
Ss: She wants to play outside.
T: Yes, she wants to play outside. But what's the weather like? It's rainy. So she can't play outside. The weather is so depressing. Today we're going to talk about the weather. (课件出示:Unit 3主情景图)
Write down the topic “Weather” on the blackboard. Students learn to read the word “weather”.
Step 2: Presentation
1. Look and predict.
Show the three pictures. (课件出示:Let's talk的三幅图片) Let students look at the pictures carefully. Ask some questions to lead them to predict the main idea of the dialogue.
The questions are like these:
① How many people are there? Who are they?
② Where are they?
③ What time is it?(可用中文向学生解释)
④ What are they talking about?

2. Watch and answer.
Show the questions on the PPT.
Students watch the cartoon. (课件出示:Let's talk的提问及视频)
3. Learn the conversation of Picture 1.

T: What time is it?
Ss: It's 11 o'clock.
T: What does Mike want to do?
Ss: Go outside.
Learn the word “outside”. The teacher points to the window and says “outside”. Help students understand the word.
T: How does Mike ask?
Ss:“Can I go outside now?”
Learn the sentence structure “Can I…?”. Write down the sentence on the blackboard. (课件出示:该句型的相关内容) T: What does Mike's mother say?
Ss: “No, you can't.”

教师通过问题引导学生观察并讨论图片,借助图片预测教学内容,培养学生的观察能力和逻辑推理能力。

通过预测图片内容提取并复习与文本有关的已学知识,进入文本话题。

Write down the sentence “It's cold outside.” on the blackboard. Lead students to read the sentence for several times.
Show a picture of the snow on the PPT. Help students understand the word “cold”. (课件出示:表示“寒冷”的图片) Learn the sentence structure “It's+描述天气的形容词+其他.” to describe the weather. (课件出示:该句型的相关内容)4Learn the conversation of Picture 2 and 3.

T: What time is it?
Ss: It's 12:05 p.m.
T: What does Mike's mum ask Mike to do?
Ss: To have some lunch.
T: How does Mike ask?
Ss: “Can I have some soup?”
T: What does Mike's mum say?
Ss: “Yes, you can.”
T: But the soup is very hot. So Mike's mum says, “Be careful!”.
Use the pictures and the actions (body languages or facial expressions) to help students understand the word “hot” and the sentence “Be careful!”. (出示课件)
Write down the sentence “Be careful!” on the blackboard. Lead students to read the sentence for several times. (课件
出示:该句子的相关内容)
5. Read and act.
(1) Students read after the recording. Pay attention to the pronunciation and the intonation. (出示课件)Teaching purpose
教师播放录音,学生听录音跟读。

引导学生按照正确的语音、语调及意群朗读对话,并能在小组中进行角色表演。

(2) Let students practice the dialogue in groups.
(3) Act it out.
Step 3: Practice
1. Fill in the chart.
(1) Fill in the chart.
Show the chart on the PPT. Let students fill in the chart according to the dialogue.
Show the answers to the chart on the PPT. (出示课件)
(2) Practice the dialogue in pairs by using the chart.
2. Let's play.
Let students make dialogues according to the pictures. (课件出示:Let's play的三幅图片)
(1) The teacher makes a demonstration.
(2) Students choose one of the pictures. Work in pairs to practice.
(3) Choose several pairs to show in class. Teaching purpose

Step 4: Consolidation & Extension
Turn card game.
Show a clock and some cards on the PPT. (课件出示:时钟模型及数字卡片)
Students choose one card and turn it over. Ask and answer like this :
