从2014年开始，江苏高考书面表达采用了一种新题型“读写任务型作文”，题型有创新，但对写作能力的要求和词数的要求等没有变化。

2017年书面表达，继续采用“读写任务型作文”的形式，材料采用与2015年相同的“图文结合”的形式，要求考生通过对柱状图和文字材料的解读来分析我国电影票房收入变化的原因并表达对我国电影票房收入走向的看法。

材料既有读写式的文字介绍也有图表，信息量大，这对考生的材料分析、概括提炼能力要求很高，同时，具有一定的开放性，便于考生写出紧扣主题的个性化内容，又能防止考生出现简单翻译写作要求中的句子的做法。

专题三阅读理解[江苏高考阅读理解近五年考情统计][命题者说]2017年江苏高考英语阅读理解的难度较2016年有所加大，选材上更注重体现现实生活。
