5.supply n.供应，供给；(pl.)供应物，供给物
supply exceeds demand供过于求

supply vt.供给，供应

6.enclose v.t.把…封入，随函附寄

8.confirmation n.确认，证实
Purchase Confirmation购货确认书;Sales Confirmation销售确认书

confirm v.t.确认，证实，确定

请来信确认一下您所预订的项目。

9.specification n.(多用复)规格
e.g.The enclosed catalogue will give you the details of specifications and technical data.
随函附寄的目录将提供有关规格和技术资料的详情。

mission n.佣金
百分之几佣金a commission of…%或…%commission
两笔或几笔佣金two or several items of commission

11.bid n.出价，递盘

Chapter Four
1.place an order with sb.for sth.跟……订购……

2.regarding prep.关于

6.despite prep.不管，尽管，不论

包装的几种表达方法
1)in…用某种容器包装

绿豆可以散装也可以用双层麻袋包装。

2)…to…若干件装于一种容器中

每两个台灯装在一个箱子里。

3)each…in…and…to…每单位装某种容器，若干单位装另一较大容器

6.be subject to受约束，受控制
The rate now being charged by us for the proposed shipment against All Risks will be 10%subject to China Insurance Clauses.

What we should like to point out here is that the agreement reached between us is subject to the further instructions from our headquarter.

13.fulfill v.t.履行，完成，实现
e.g.Please fulfill your responsibilities according to our contract.
请按合同履行你们的义务。

14.venture v.冒昧，斗胆
e.g.We venture to ask you to extend the L/C.
我们冒昧地要求你们延长信用证。

We venture to ask for your approval of our shipping the goods by train.
我们冒昧地请求你们同意用火车装运货物。

15.advance v.提前
e.g.Since the selling season is approaching,we wish you could advance shipment to the end of this month.
销售季节马上就要到了，所以我们希望你们能提前到本月底装运。

Our customers are pressing us to advance the time of delivery to October.
我们的客户催促我们将交货期提前到10月份。

ply with遵守，符合

17.hasten v.催促，加速

Choice of Terms of Payment

2)Under(on)…terms按……方式
e.g.We regret that we are unable to consider your request for payment under D/A terms.
对你方要求以承兑交单方式付款一事，我们歉难考虑。

3)on…basis按……方式
e.g.We are prepared to accept payment for your trial order on D/P basis.
对你方这批试订购的货物，我们准备接受付款交单方式付款。

4)to make an exception(or:as an exceptional case)破例
e.g.In view of our long business relation,we will make an exception to our rules and accept L/C at30days(after)sight.
