牛津译林版九年级英语上学期Unit1 语法精讲精炼并列连词的用法：
一、基本用法
教材原句：
1.I am active and energetic,and I love working with people.
我很活跃，精力充沛，而且我喜欢和人们一起工作。

2.Not only Daniel comes to school early,but also Jim does.
不仅丹尼尔到校早，吉姆也是。

3.He is English,but he speaks Chinese very well.
他是英国人，但他的中文讲得很好。

4.The shop was closed,so I couldn’t buy anything.
商店门关了，所以我什么也没买到。

5.Get up quickly,or you’ll be late.
快点起床，否则你就会迟到。

6.Neither Lily nor Lucy goes shopping.
莉莉和露西都不去购物。

二、特殊用法。

1.and 连接两个或两个以上的人或物做主语时，其谓语动词应用复数形式；而or连接的词语做主语时，其位于动词的单复数形式应由最靠近它的那个名词或代词来决定。

Lily and Lucy have gone to the library.莉莉和露西去了图书馆。

Amy or I am going to speak at the meeting.在会议上由艾米或者我发言。

2.在否定句中，并列成分的列举常用or，构成完全否定，意为“也不......”；而用and连接则构成部分否定。

通常肯定前者，否定后者。

He does not like singing or dancing.他不喜欢唱歌和跳舞。

He didi not speak clearly and correctly.他并非讲得又清楚又准确。

（他讲得清楚但不正确）3.用and 连接主语，谓语是否定式时构成完全否定。

Tom and Jim can not speak Japanese.汤姆和吉姆不会讲日语。

4.not only...but also...强调but also之后的部分，其中also可以省略；not only可置于句首表示强调，not only后的句子要用倒装结构。

She can speak not only Japanese but also French.她不仅会说日语也会说法语。

（强调会说法语）
Not only has the poor man been arrested but he has been sent to prison.
这个可怜的人不仅被逮捕，而且被送进了监狱。

三．难点突破。

1.在否定句中without之后的列举成分用and连接，构成完全否定；在肯定句中without之后的列举成分要用or连接才能构成完全否定。

Men can’t live without air and water.That is to say,men will die without air or water.
没有空气和水人就不能活。

也就是说，没有空气和水人就会死。

2.though/although（虽然）不能与but（但是）连用；so（所以）也不能与because（因为）连用。

尽管他很累，但他没有停止工作。

Although he was very tired,he didn’t stop working.
=He was very tired,but he didn’t stop working.
3.在“祈使句+and/or+简单句”，祈使句表示一个条件，and后的简单句表示在前一个句子基础上产生的比较好的结果，前后句子的意义是一致的；or后的简单句表示一个不愉快或不理想的结果，前后句子的意义是对立的。

连词and或or后面的简单句的谓语动词常用一般将来时或用情态动词。

Work hard,and you’ll make great progress.努力学习，你就会取得很大的进步。

Get up early,or you’ll miss the early bus.早点起床，否则你会错过早班车。

注意：此句型还可以换成“if条件句+简单句”，上面两句话可以改成：
If you work hard,you’ll make great progress.
If you don’t get up early,you’ll miss the early bus.
4.both...and...连接连个并列的名词或代词做主语时，谓语动词应复数形式。

Both Kitty and Simon are energetic.Kitty和Simon都精力充沛。

5.not only...but also...，either...or...;neither...nor...这三个平行结构连接两个并列的名词或代词做主语时，谓语动词应和靠近的主语在人称和数上保持一致。

Not only the students but（also）their teacher knows about the four people.
不仅学生们而且他们的老师也了解这四个人的情况。

Either Simon or Daniel is ready to take on new challenges.
西蒙或者戴维准备接受新挑战。

Neither Millie nor her friends know about types of personality.
米粒和他的朋友们都不了解性格的类型。
