如何导入教学?
上课时,教师可以带进教室任何一件反映奥运会的纪念品或图片,然后问大家:“Why do I bring this picture/thing to our class today? Who knows?”教师问学生,看是否有学生能联系到奥运会上,教师接着说:“I bring this to our class because we are going to talk about Olympic Games today. First of all, I’d like to ask you a few questions. What are the sports competitions in Olympic Games? Can you name some? They are…”教师边等待边开始举例说:“swimming, soccer, badminton, running…”说了几个以后教师可以停下来进行下面的活动:
a)“Good, now let’s do the brainstorming work in groups. Let’s have four people in a group.
You talk about the games. You can go on talking about the sports games.”学生讨论的时候,教师把各种运动的图片贴在黑板上,贴完之后就可以让学生停下来,并让学生以组为单位说一下刚才说出的是哪些项目。

最后大家相互补充。

即使是别的组说过的项目也可以重复,目的是多说、多练。

b)接着,教师指着黑板上所贴的运动图片依次问大家:“What sport is it?”大家回答:“It’s
swimming.”教师应该边问边教,逐渐加快说话及问的语速。

c)待学生比较熟悉以后,教师先后找几个同学到前面,任意指图片,让学生说出英语名称。

d)然后,教师拿出单词卡片,让学生熟悉英语单词。

e)之后,教师找学生讲英语单词与图配对。

f)最后,教师给学生两分钟将有关运动的单词或短语写在本单元运动项目的图片下面。

单元教学活动2 Look and say
第二部分是谈论图片的主题。

一共有四张图片,教师先让学生讨论第一张。

教师说:“Now let’s look at picture One. These are the places of historical interests in Beijing. Talk about these places and think about what we can introduce to our foreign friends.”然后,教师让学生两人一组做brainstorming work.
a)讨论一分钟后,教师让大家集思广益说第一张图片的内容。

可以说的内容有Beijing is a
beautiful place. There are many historical places, such as Beihai Park, the palace Museum, the summer palace, and the Yuan Mingyuan Remains. If the foreign friends come to Beijing, we can show them around. We can take them to see these beautiful places.
b)讨论第二张图后,教师可以让学生说:“We live in this world. We should protect our
environment. We should save water. We should save our natural resources. We should build few factories. We shouldn’t drop litter or spit. We should plant more trees.”
c)讨论第三张图后,教师可以让学生说:“Our earth is becoming smaller and smaller. People
can visit each other easily. We all can be friends. Water is important to human beings. The earth is also important to us. So we should hold our hands together and try to do something for this world. Save water, save the earth, and save ourselves.”
d)讨论第四步张图后,教师可以引导学生说:“Olympic Games need a lot of volunteers. We
should give our free time to do something for the Games. We can be guards. We can plant more trees. We can cheer for the sports players. We can show them around Beijing.”
讨论过程中,教师应允许学生充分发表意见,最好用英语,哪怕是单词也可以。

单元教学活动3 Use your brain
第三部分是智力思考题。

Sarah带着哥哥Harry、自己的女儿Ann和自己的儿子Michael打网球,他们是在打混合双打。

Sarah的哥哥和Sarah的女儿面对面打,而Sarah的儿子则和打的最差人的哥哥打对角线。

大的最好的和打的最差的人在同一边,谁是打的最好的网球手呢?应该是Sarah的哥哥哈力。

打的最差的应该是Sarah.
单元教学活动4 Read, think and tick
第四部分是阅读句子并做出选择。

这里给的句子都是学生可以在奥运会前后能帮助做的事情。

也许每个人的能力不一样,所以教师就请每个学生选择至少五样能为奥运会做的事情。

上课时,教师应先带着大家熟读这些句子,并让学生四人一组进行讨论,弄清这些句子的意思,然后相互之间谈论是否能做。

学生应该会用英语说I can do this because I can always say nice words to friends, teachers and parents.
单元教学活动5 Let’s sing, chant and do
第五部分是边唱歌边运动的活动。

为了让学生熟悉每一个动作,教师可以先让学生边说边做,等到熟练之后,教师再次录音,让大家跟着录音的歌曲一起做一起唱。

教师也可以采取1、2、3组唱,4、5、6组做动作,然后再调换着唱和做等不同方式组织活动。

单元教学活动6 Listen, read and answer
第六部分是有关姚明的一段短文。

教师可以先问学生一些问题。

比如:“Who is Yao Ming?(Yao Ming is a famous basketball player.)What is his job? (His job is to play basketball.) Where does he play basketball? (He plays for Chinese National Basketball Team and American Houston Rockets)How tall is Yao Ming? He is 2.26 metres. When was he born? He was born on September 12, 1980. why is he famous? He is three-time NBA All star(2003-2005).”问完一些重要的细节问题之后教师对学生说:“Now you can read the passage by yourself now. Then get ready to answer the following questions in pairs.”在学生阅读的基础上,教师根据课文进行一些补充性的提问。

比如:“For which team is he playing? Is he the only child in his family? Are Yao Ming’s parents tall?”教师最后让学生相互问答。

教师也可以把全部问题打在一张纸上,然后每人一张,相互问答。

单元教学活动7 Let’s play a word game
第七部分是组词游戏。

教师让某个学生一次选出12个字母,然后将这12个字母随意排列在黑板边上,并发给每个学生一张纸,让学生根据所给的字母任意组词,然后写在白纸上。

教师说Stop!时,学生应立即停止写词,并举起单词让大家看,最后看哪个学生每一轮组词最多。

单元教学活动8 Let’s play
第八部分是游戏。

教师将事先准备好的篮球网、羽毛球、乒乓球及纸飞机拿出对学生说:“Today we are going to play an interesting game. We’ll ask one person from each group and let them try to throw the shuttlecock into the net. Then we use the ping pang ball and the paper plane. It’s going to be more and more difficult. Let’s see who can shoot it in and who is a good shot.”让学生玩的时候教师尽量注意到全班的大多数同学,如果每个同学只能玩一次,效果最好。

最后算总分。

单元教学活动9 Listen, read and learn.
第九部分是一段散文诗。

教师可以先让学生听一遍录音,并带着学生一句一句地朗读。

最后教师给学生一些时间,让他们自己朗读。

朗读的时候,教师可以让学生离开座位,无论是站着还是坐着都行,但教师要紧盯着学生是否在朗读。

最后还可以采取竞赛的形式朗读。
