Step 1 : Pre-reading
Show the teaching objective first .
1 let the students guess what traditional food I like according to my description and show them
how to make them
2 teach the main verbs “mix ..and …”ect.
3 show a picture of turkey and ask what food it is and how to make it
Step 2 : Fast reading
1 2b: Read Part2(from “make a turkey dinner ” to the end ) and number the pictures [1-5].
2 Let the students read Part 2 again and find the ingredients to make turkey : bread pieces ,
onions , salt , pepper ,gravy ,and vegetables like carrots and potatoes
3 Look at the pictures and say according to the key words :

Then , put …in …cook…
Then , place…on…cover…with…
Finally , cut …into …

1 教材分析:2a-2e为阅读板块。

由两部分组成。

一感恩节的由来,二感恩节的传统食物----火鸡的制作过程。

因为通过本单元A部分的学习学生对食物的制作过程比较熟悉,所以我调整了两部分的学习顺序。

读前活动通过让学生看中国人在特殊节日吃的传统食物引入美国的感恩节及火鸡。

由此引出阅读材料的第二部分----火鸡的制作过程。

读中活动安排分为两部分:fast reading & careful reading . 在快速阅读部分中,我重点培养学生的跳读scan即寻读能力。

使学生通过对关键词语的寻找和关注把握文章的主旨大意并且通过掌握关键词来复述制作过程steps(步骤) :
First , mix ….and …
Next , fill … with …
Then , put … in … cook…
Then , place… on… cover… with…
Finally , cut … into …
通过让学生填写first , next , then , finally 等步骤,介绍粽子的制作过程为读后工作做好铺垫。

在细读中,我除了巩固学生的scan能力去掌握文章大意。

(read and fill in the blanks )通过回答when, why , what , how 等问题,使学生对第一部分:感恩节的由来,进行了分析和知识的梳理。

对于文章中难理解的词汇,我让学生阅读上下文进行词义猜测练习。

我的目的是降低难度和让学生认知、感知知识,并转化为自己的能力。

读后工作安排了看图片回答问题----端午节。

讨论它的由来及粽子的制作过程。

2学情分析:我校处于城乡结合部,75%以上的生源是外来务工子女。

有些学生的学习没有系统性,有中断现象。

学生接受能力不快,学习习惯差。

家长忙于养家,忽视对于孩子的指导和监督,课后的巩固不到位。

因此,我的教学重点是向课堂要效率;降低教材的输入难度;循序渐进由易到难的输入;加强方法指导;输出要与输入高度相似。

我班学生通过section A的学习对食物的制作过程比较熟悉,所以我大胆的调整了课文的顺序,把第一段和第二段交换了顺序,由熟悉到陌生易到难的输入。

我的学生课下根本不做巩固也没有人监督检查,我就必须让他们在课上强化,就设计了复述火鸡的制作过程。

在方法指导上这个课时我们的重点在寻读和词义猜测上。

我转化文中的句子让学生从原文中找句子替代这样不仅把难度降了下来还为学生输入了多种表达的观念。

同时还先向学生展现了定语从句的构成,尽管没向学生说明,但向他们传递了这一形式。

教学反思:本节课是节阅读课,我的教学目标定的也很明确。

1 掌握食物制作过程,会运用first , next ,then , finally 等步骤及mix ….and…; fill … with …;put … in … cook…;place…on… cover… with…; cut … into …等动词词组。

2 学会阅读策略:scan 和通过上下文猜测词义。

通过本节课的学习,学生们对目标一掌握熟练。

对于目标二是通过小组讨论来实现的。

在我巡视过程中发现个别同学还是没有掌握,这也在我的预料中,阅读策略的掌握本来就不是一朝一夕能做到的。

在以后的教学活动中,肯定还要不断地反复加强。

整节课的课堂气氛还是积极向上的。

学生们的兴趣通过引入被调动起来,学生的热情通过集体回答,个人反馈和小组讨论得到激发和提升。
