摘要：PURPOSE:To make beautiful grain pattern of desired size surely in forming grain pattern on a plastic molding, by forming previously grain of specific depth on the surface of the molding in the formation of the plastic molding by means of a metallic die. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of plastic molding by means of a metallic mold using modified polyphenylene oxide resin, polypropylene, etc. as raw mterial, grain 20-50mum in depth is formed previously in the surface of the molding. If necessary, the surface is pretreated with thinner after annealing. Coating material the same as that used for painting grain is sprayed on the surface of the substrate 1 to form a primer film 2 20-
30mum in thickness. Then top coat 3 having grain pattern 20- 50mum in thickness is formed on the film 2, and it is dried by heating at 50 deg.C for 30min.
